Not sure if you have visited Navi Mumbai personally. Yes, Navi Mumbai is good but they have made the same mistake which Mumbai did. The main connecting road is same for the city and highway. Highway should be different from the city. We are always making same mistake in entire India. All highway should be away from City by 10 km.

Nothing can stop Navi Mumbai to be the next financial hub once the trans harbour link and airport are completed. The spill of companies that happens to Bangalore and other cities from Mumbai will drastically reduce.

One thing to see, India is poor enough to maintain the roads, buildings etc. like foreign countries. See, most of the buildings are in a dilapidated condition. Just make a house incurring lone and stay. There is no money for maintenance. At least no coloring has been made. On the other hand, you see, China and Singapore, Tokyo or Seoul, all are looking after city infra acutely. So Mumbai will remain at the back bench for ever.

It is much easier to build physical infrastructure but it takes consistent efforts of 3-4-5 generations to shape social infrastructure. It tooks 3-4 generations for stanford university in its current shape ( high standard of education, quality of research, professors,students, research paper, case studies,global reputation )
