How to make a cone pattern for exhaust pipes, intakes, velocity stacks, headlight trim….. etc.

Making a “frustum cone” pattern. Basically draw a 2d version of your cone and divide it down the centerline so if you wanted a 1in cone to adapt to a 2in cone and you want it 2in tall you would draw a vertical centerline and at the bottom draw a 1in perpendicular line then go up 2inches and draw a perpendicular line that is 1/2 in long. Then connect those lines to find the center point of your arc.
I have used this on making exhaust adapters, fender flares for cars, head light trim, bell housing tunnels, velocity stacks, intake plenums….. hvac ducts… the list goes on.
