Every spring I pull that cover off that power valve actuator motor. I pull on each cable gently with a pliers. You can feel each valve open and close smoothly if they are good.
I honed some nikasil liners a handful of times. Works ok. Just don’t over do it. Lots of oil, and only go up and down no more than 5 times. All you want to do is rough it up.
I have a 98 srx and and the compression on all three cylinders is between 100 - 110. Will I be okay to just change the rings or should I get all the pistons replaced? Thanks

I have a 2001 SRX 700 that I refuse to sell. Just love the sled that much. The scuzzy never fails to fail was pretty funny 😄
I have a 02 SRX with 23,000 km. I still have the same rings. My power valves need to be cleaned every 1,000 km. Makes a big difference in power.
Use amsoil that will clear it out. I use that in my IQ shift 600. Forget factory oil
I had a 00 srx. It was a great sled. Now I have a redhead triple.

The Best as usual Jeff. Thanks for the tips
I have an srx600 that is hard to find pistons for. Are there any other options like the sx-r pistons?
