Been riding sleds before I could walk lol!! Not really I was around 5 I guess I’m now 45. Been into sleds forever now raced cats SX and Pro XC 17 years many wins and championships. Iv owned ski doos Polaris Yamaha and CATS of course. But my first sled was a Yamaha 250 enticer then a SRV. Man both sleds were great back in the day specially the SRV what a sled. Anyway very sad to see Yamaha leaving the industry. Some people might think no big deal hopefully it isn’t. But less competition is never good for any sport competition drives manufacturers to make better products. I love the sport of snowmobiling it’s been my life for the most part. Way winters have been not surprising to see a manufacturer throw in the towel. Just hope it’s not the beginning of the end hopefully winters come back way use to be. The economy picks up and the EPA leaves us alone idk. Great show loved seeing the old sleds and getting some good history lessons.
"5 years is a long way down the road" Uh no it isnt. You'd better be parts serving us a heck of a lot longer than that. I'm still getting 80s Phazer parts from my dealer and I'm sure hoping I can get parts for my last year Yamaha too for a very long time.
I always liked Yamaha sleds. But you didn’t dare get one up here in the land of Polaris and Cat in far northern MN! Especially in the 70’s 80’s and 90’s
Used to help with this show 20 some years ago. Nice bunch of guys.
God bless our local legend Tim Bender ! God I hope western ny gets back to better consistant winters soon. Bob has some history so very cool ❤
Bob has an amazing collection, thanks to STV for giving visibility
RIP Yamaha sleds
