    Very good, thorough review. You've certainly covered all the features available. That said, I personally prefer to hear gear reviews after the item has actually been used in the field. That's where the rubber hits the road, so to speak. Looking forward to seeing your comments after you've had a chance to use it in the winter.

    That is awesome! From the outside, it looks like a nice dome tent, but it's really what I call a "James Bond" tent lol. I was already impressed, and then you showed that rear entrance, floor and all. Plus those fast clips are nice, especially for when the snow is falling, and you want to get the stove cooking. And the multiple size stove pipe Jack is genius. I do agree, taped seams would be wonderful, but price is justified. Great review, thanks for the video and stay safe out there. God bless!

    Sometimes a product comes along that shows a bit of ingenuity and careful thought has gone into the manufacture of it. From your preview Jeremy this would appear to be one
    of those rare occasions . Like the concept and design looks extremely functional so bring on the weather for your tasting out. Factual review as always but we don't expect anything less from you mate thanks. Bushyboy Oz.

    I wish there was an alternate mesh inner that didn't have the missing cutout and simply covered the entire interior (like in warm weather where no wood stove is needed)

    • @Lonewolfwildcamping
      @Lonewolfwildcamping  3 роки тому +2

      Perhaps a future upgrade. Having the cutout is extremely useful for removing boots and wet clothing inside the tent though

      @jakestevens7283 3 роки тому

      @@Lonewolfwildcamping True. I definitely see tents that have a boot removing section prior to the entrance, but perhaps that would become a liability for what this tent is meant to be, which is to maximize its resistance to the worst winds, like maybe entrance way flaps on the Gamme would be a liability for very strong winds. Like requesting good gas mileage from an H1 Hummer lol. Because I know that dome homes are specifically ideal in tornado areas!! But yeah I was definitely thinking of just a mild weather accessory, then perhaps a person could just rig a staked down entranceway of some sort. I haven't really come across talk about Gamme's warmth retention insulation. Is it exceptionally good for that? If temperatures are extremely low is the inner tent option necessary for great insulation?

    Honestly this is what I have been wanting. It looks like a normal dome tent that could easily be used in the summer. I love the option to hot tent in any season just because I have dealt with heavy heavy rains in the springs and the ability to have a food tent or mess hall quickly really seems nice.

    So I started living van life 3 years ago, and recently I had a transmission line burst, blow hot transmission fluid on my exhaust manifolds and my van as well as everything I owned went up in flames. My insurance won't cover it, so I'm now sleeping under a bush at Walmart. I am already panicked and worried about winter just in case I can't get a place to stay by then. I'd kill to have one of these but it may be out of my budget. Do you have a suggestion on something more affordable, similar in size, and built well enough to keep me alive in a Massachusetts winter?

    Nice looking tent. When you do the winter review make sure you show setting up in snow. Always interesting to see how easy or not that is. Also will be interested in how much condensation it collects. Thanks for the show.

  • @SnowyAspenHills
    @SnowyAspenHills 3 роки тому +2

    I have watched setting up videos for this tent and all those poles worry me.
    I can see free standing can have some advantage but one single strong pole in teepee style tent fills me with more confidence.
    Snow loading is a teepee style tent as good as this apart from the intrusion of the centre pole?
    This was to be my first hot temt year but world events changed all that especially here in the UK, next year hopefully. I will have to satisfy myself watching you hit tenting in the snow (just watched you in this tent by the lake in the snow, amazing.

    • @Lonewolfwildcamping
      @Lonewolfwildcamping  3 роки тому +1

      Both tent styles are excellent, however tipi tents require much adjustments to the leg out points to jeep a tight pitch and freestanding tents can be picked up and moved if needed. So it really comes down to personal preference

      I feel like the price is so steep that you may as well go with Gamme 6. I will be using it by myself and I still chose the 6, I figure that the extra space for myself doesn't present a problem, however if at a future date I camp with 4 and the Gamme 4 isn't big enough for 4 people then it will present a problem that I didn't pick the Gamme 6

    I can't wait for it too cool down so I can use mine with the medium nomad stove... I was lucky to get the tent with inner tent and stove from someone local for $500 in New condition. Couldn't pass it up even though it is an expensive tent. I watched the video they left it for almost a year standing on the side of a mountain in Norway. Stood up well.
