💪😁 thank you. Im really glad i can help others with my videos
I'm not sure I've thanked you before, but I wish to do so. I hammock-camp most of the year, but in really cold weather, especially if I have a buddy or two who (like me) only have a 3-season underquilt, I have switched to Luxe 4P and a Winnerwell stove for the winter. With that much weight, I pulk/sled it in, but it is increasing my time in the woods (I've been out 33 nights since the first week of April, and my season is ending here in western PA). Your reviews really helped me with some of my purchases, and I really appreciate a young man like you (I am a 66-year-old college professor) sharing your wisdom with me. Thank you.
Thank you, I wish you good luck and happy camping
I'm going through this series after having watched some of your other videos and learned about the OneTigris situation. I was looking at getting their tent to dip my foot into winter camping...but now I think I'll buy something else even if I have to spend a little bit more money just to give them the finger for treating you like crap. Thanks for the video series. Very helpful.
Thank you very much. I appreciate it
Amazingly comprehensive advice 😊
I have the Helsport Varanger 8-10 and love it. Can be a bit hot in summer with only one door though but not really meant for that. Pitch it easily solo and it won budge for weeks.
A genuine camping gear introduction. Thank you. You really help me to choose my veryfirst hot tent. Thank you. Happy holidays!
Terrific review of hot tent options! I learned a lot. Just bought my first hot tent and still learning how to use the system.
another killer video - love the pragmatism and honesty at the end - excellent advice imho.
Thank you
that was such a thorough review of hot tents (set up, configurations, things to consider etc). ty! also really appreciate and respect what you said at the end. I see why tent companies have given those gifts to you.. you deserve them :)
Thank you very much , im really glad you enjoyed the video
Thank you VERY much my man! Very detailed video! And judging by the sunlight in your video you spent all day making this for us.
New to Backcountry camping and want to go with a buddy in the fall/early winter. This helped us pick the proper tent.
Cheers bud!!
Thank you very much
I do new product testing and reviews for a major home improvement warehouse. So I can appreciate the in depth information you shared on these hot tents. Awesome job. Next I will watch the tent wood stove reviews.
Awesome Jeremy. First time I have seen such a wide ranging informative discussion on how and what to look for in a tent on YT. Your skills and knowledge are essential for us to make informed choices for purchases. Thanks for tsking the time to make and share the pros n cons with us. Bushyboy Oz.
Thank you very much, I really glad this video is helping others
This was easily the most informative video on a variety of hot tents, thank you!
Thank you very much
Watching this 3 years after it was posted. Amazing review video, literally everything I could want to know
What an exceptional video! Keep up the great work as I don’t know anyone on UA-cam doing this kind of review for any product especially the ones you analyzed and reviewed.
Finally, looking for ages for a video like this. Thanks
Here it is🤙 thank you for enjoying
I’ll be a first timer this year and I’m doing basically what you somewhat said, I’ll buy a tent that seems relatively inexpensive and give it a shot. Knowledge is knowing wisdom is having done. Good video, thanks.
By far the most informative review of hot tents.... and I'm only half way through the video.... awesome job!!!
Thanks alot, glad you found it useful
By far, you’re reviews are the best!
Thanks so much 🤩🤩🤩🤩
Thank you so much for taking time to review all these tents. Makes it so much easier for me to decide what's right for me. I enjoy your channel a lot!
I'm glad the reviews helped you. Thanks for enjoying 👍🤙
Thank you for taking the time to make this video. Tons of information here folk's.
You are very welcome 🏕😁🔥
I been doing it for a long time, since I live in a tent, I built my own solar generator and use a AC unit in the summer and a wood stove in the winter, planning on getting a ice fishing tent that has insulation will install a stove jack perfect for witer and summer !
Witer?
Looking forward to this series, I'm looking into hot tent camping and I know this will help with my decision making. Thank you
I hope this helps 👍🔥
One tent to mention that is affordable, insulated and easy to setup is a ice fishing tent like a Cabela's Ice Fishing Tent. They need a slight modification in installing a stove jack hole but that's easily done.
They collapse under heavy snow loads unfortunately
@@Lonewolfwildcamping GOOD TO KNOW 😃.
The main benefit of cotton canvas for winter camping/hot tenting is the increased air permeability (breathability) of the fabric. This helps quite a bit with condensation. With nylon/polyester tents you can get liners, but then the weight of that combo approaches that of the canvas tent of the same size. The free standing tent still has to be secured to the ground if there is no snow to put on the snow flaps. For putting tent pegs into frozen ground, I find landscape spikes (large common nails) in the 8" to 12" range work well. Just don't pound them in all the way, to remove them give them a tap to break the grip the ground has on the peg. If you had your choice, would you take the Nortent tipi 6 or the OneTigris Roc Shield or Solo Homestead?
Thank you, great info, my choice of tent would simply depend on what I wish to accomplish on the camping trip and weather conditions
Thank you for staying Humble. Love watching your videos
The Manta tent has a half inner mesh incert, both options actually, I find it quite versatile. I also love the proper canvas bell tents, especially for hot family tenting over 3-4 days. Here in the UK we have a company that makes 3m bell tents without the center pole, so the space inside can be organised as you wish.
Awsome 🤙
two years old ago, I know, but .. I have seen you use a tent like Hileberg, or a two person tent having a stove hole out of the front. Also, you can try stuffing steel wool in the arrester cap up top of the pipe. 9volt and steel wool gives fire starter.
Very well thought out points. Awesome job. I look forward to parts 2 and 3.
Thank you, more to come
A ton of knowledge in this post!!!
Thank you, hope it helps
Who the fuck dislikes this guys content?! What's not to like? He basically has all the answers, all the tips and tricks, all the camping how-to's....and tattoos🤷🏻♂️
I'm confused.
Dude, you're awesome. Great work!
Greetings from Norway💪
Thanks alot for the support
What a great comparison video, you have brought so many tents together for consideration.
Thank you very much 😁👍🤩
@@Lonewolfwildcamping recently found your channel and must of watched 30 from your playlist in 3 days! Very informative and think you’re very honest..very much appreciate your content. From the uk and just getting into hot tenting. Thanks again!
Extremely concise, comprehensive and useful review!
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for the comparison. Hope it will help people make a choice of these.
That’s an impressive display, reflective of how good these manufacturers feel your channel is. This is a nice variety and helpful for people to understand the hobby. Good details from you as usual. Big snow in the Rockies, winter is coming 😊❤️🇺🇸❄️☃️🛷⛺️🌄
Thank you, i hope this helps everyone
Thanks for posting this. Looking to start hot tent camping this season in Utah, in the Uintas! Can't wait!
Hope you enjoy it!
Excellent overview of all the tents and discussing all the factors to consider when choosing a tent. Great info. Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it!
This was an incredibly informative video, I wish I would have had it years ago. While not new to the outdoors, I wish I would have taken the time to keep up with some of the newer gear, it really would have made my life easier. It's also nice seeing someone the same height as me: that really helps put things into perspective, literally🤙. I'm looking forward to seeing you do a ton of hot tenting this winter, as I prepare for a one year, solo off grid stay in the high Pennsylvania mountains, hopefully beginning Spring of 2021. Thanks for the video, I'm looking forward to many more. Stay safe out there and God bless!
I'm glad you enjoyed the video and I hope it helped you out 🏕😁
So glad I found this channel. Great REAL WORLD ADVICE. Also, great personality. A couple other channels are a bit similar but they come off with a smug attitude while trying to hide it behind a faux positivity shtick. Very odd actually. Again. Glad. I found this channel. Just watching this video now. Can't wait for more from this series. Great job buddy.
Thanks for enjoying the channel, i try and just be myself and have fun 🤙
At first I thought you opened a hotel 😁 Seriously, great video and honest thoughts, I really appreciate that. If it were a hotel, the canvas solo would be my penthouse of choice. Thanks for the video and knowledge. The pipe theory also applys to indoor of a off the grid cottage. Good care and catch ya on the next one 🤙
Thanks, definitely a neat idea 👍😁
Awesome video. I really want to try hot tenting, and your video is very thorough and informative. You had a very nice selection with a lot of good information for beginners. Thank you.
I'm really glad you are thinking about hot tenting, its alot of fun 🔥👍
Getting into hot tenting this year.Got a fairly small Mountain Cattle Tipi and a small camping woodstove.
Awsome, a great way to enjoy winter
Great info about sparks on the 'standard' fabrics.
Thanks, hot tent safety is #1
Great info for someone starting out. Can't wait for the next vid!
Thank you, the next video is coming soon
Man...what a great tutorial for stove tents... lol of course my fav was the hub 1k tent until ya got to the price... lol...babe steps.... looking for one for 2 people for a base camp hunting scenario.. Illinois/Wisconsin winters ..ugh... a lot of information to chew on in this one... will watch again before I decide... Thanks again for your time doing these....
I'm really glad I got you thinking. Hope you find your dream tent 👍😁🏕
I hunted in Crandon for many years when I was a kid... I miss Wi deer
Классный обзор! Какие же вещи есть в мире,просто несбыточная мечта. Я рад за людей,пользующихся такими палатками.👏👏👏👍👍👍🇷🇺
awesome class on the basics of hot tents. i still have so many questions... so much to learn!
Thank you, im here to answer the questions if you have any 😁
@@Lonewolfwildcamping can u link me to a video that explains the pros and cons of a canvas hot tent? in great detail
Don't have one. But I can tell you canvas is heavier in weight, but won't burn from sparks or embers.
@@Lonewolfwildcamping suggestion! u should make one ;)
Absolutely, will put something together
Great comparison. Got a thumb for explaining how you got these tents.
Thanks alot ,always glad to help
Thank you for all your input, I found this video very helpful 😊
Great info video👍 and like the way you let people know about the price as well.
Thanks for sharing, take care be safe and God Bless ✌️😎
Thanks so much, very happy you enjoyed the video
Of all the camping/ outdoors videos I've watched this one was time well used.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed
This video is amazing so many tent reviews
you missing the twinpeak from luxhiking ...best bang for the bug ..light and huge...
I'm not a fan of luxe customer service. I have had many people tell me they have had terrible service.
@@Lonewolfwildcamping ohh really...well I have nothing bad to say...sorry to hear...I really like to watch your stuff ..keep at it...
Thank you, im glad you enjoy the channel
these tents are awesome. especially the nortent gamme 4. if i ever got so much as an ember on that silnylon, i would be seeing red. those onetigris shelters are much cheaper, and wouldn't mind so much if they needed a patch here and there. onetigris also has a hammock shelter that sets up with a ridgeline, which LW902 has loads of content on which should not be overlooked when exploring starter shelter options. i even saw a canvas hammock shelter on amazon with his logo! how have i not heard of him until now? he really knows his shit
Very helpful and informative thank you
You have no idea how much you help me with your movies ;)
this is a much needed video guide thanks for this
Tbank you for enjoying
Can take ordinary tent two piece of thick tin pop rivit gun turn any tent into a hot tent stove jack easy to produce now rocket stoves up to your preference
My man is absolutely rocking the Osirises
😊💪
Great video! I love the information as you broke it down. I’m just getting interested in hot tenting from my truck and have been all over UA-cam, Amazon, eBay and Google trying to find the right setup for me. I believe in buying once and crying once. So far, dome tents appeal to me the most, but wow the prices can be high. I will primarily be camping solo, shooting video for my channel. So I’ll want to have room to move around. The Nortent Gamme 4 looks good. Your review there is the next video I plan to watch. I also think the NatureHike Dune (2 or 3 person) hot tent looks like a more budget friendly option. I would love to hear if you have any dome tent/stove combinations that you would recommend. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Keep up the awesome work!
This is a great video man! Well done!
Thanks alot bro 😁😁😁
His appearance does not match his content… I love it
Wow sir this review are amazing 👏 this helps me a great deal thanks for charing God bless
Thank you
I have the gamme6, first tent I bought after a very long and hard amount of research and comparison. I've pared it with the large winnerwell woodlander, and the tent heats up very fast and is very warm. I would have liked to see a better spark arrestor on the pipe and might try and figure that out myself or possibly purchase another section of pipe, because when burning wood some sparks would still land on the tent. The sill nylon does not seem to be a easy to burn as you've mentioned, still not a single.hole for all the sparks, bit I don't want to test the theory.
I'm surprised the pomoly stove hut isn't on this review. I was really hoping to see how you stack it up against the others. That was going to be my single man companion when I don't need the gamme6
I'm jelious nice tents, hope you get to keep them all one for each day of the week almost. 👍
Thank you , i hope this video helped you
...wow thats so impressive..love seein all those tents..you've got the best tents..you should be the ambassdor of all that tents
#teamlonewolf902
Thank you, 😂 Mr. Hot Tent 💪🏕🤙
Your Tents are insane!!!!
Great job, I think you hit all the points.
You might cover this later, but do you set up, on top of the snow? Or do you dig down to soil?
On top, with a tray or small piece of metal or plywood, The stove doesn't sink much, but you re sleeping on snow.
The alternative, dig down to soil, but you run the risk of the surrounding snow melting and putting you in a cold swamp.
How do you usually handle this issue?
Thank you, usually set ontop if snow after packing it in. Place rocks and logs under stove to prevent melting
@@Lonewolfwildcamping I'm of the same thought. Never thought of using rocks, until watching your videos. Seems so obvious now.
Glad I could help
Thanks for your reply. 850 for tent, 150 for inner.
🤙😁
Absolutely amazing information. Thank you
You're very welcome, and thank you
another excellent review...thankyou
My pleasure!
good hottent very good job in hting brother from mn. usa
Outstanding, informative video! Would have been good if you had mentioned how much each one cost.👍✌
Thanks alot, I wanted to mainly focus on size and shapes rather than cost
You should do an update on these tents or other new ones.
none of them have got a built in ground sheet, gs is good for keeping bugs and drafts out
Bugs won’t come in just keep farting they will smell your Remotebronchitis
Ground sheet is most important.
Hi Jeremy, thanks very much for the video, very informative and you brought up a lot of good points I didn't think of. I can only afford so much too. I like my Iron Wall but it is a bit small, I went with it for my first tent because it was affordable, like you said. I hope my ammo can stove will be sufficient to heat it up until I can afford another stove. I was thinking of buying the Knico Trekker it isn't titanium but it's half the price. As of now I plan on weekend trips and either truck camping or using a pulk sled to haul the stove. Can't wait for your other videos on the subject since it's new to me. Take care buddy.
I'm glad my videos have helped you. The iron wall gets very warm with an ammo can stove, trust me you will be just fine and it will save lots of money, an upgrade to your ammo can stove could be a titanium stove pipe 😃🤙
@@Lonewolfwildcamping Thanks Jeremy, appreciate it, thats reassuring. 👍🏕
Anytime my friend
What's the link to the second tent in this video, with the center mounted stove jack. Thanks, love the content. Very helpful
Super helpful. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful
Love your videos! Down here in Alabama we have very few opportunities where we could use a hot tent or I would definitely looking for one of these. I am always nervous about snakes here as well so I generally look for options with floor as I do not want to snuggle up to a snake in my sleeping bag. Lol
Again, great video as always!
I’m with you on the snakes. I live in west Texas, and have literally seen rattlesnakes moving on snow in January. I would definitely be worried about snakes drawing to the heat of a stove. I would surely get an inner mesh with a floor!
I have bereg up-2 with extra winter floor and Hexagon also with extra winter floor these tents are superior all my other hot tents and have like 12 other hot tents......i like em also but bereg is totally in its own class of you ask me.....
This is on my list. Thank you for this review.
My pleasure!
Is there a budget option for a freestanding hot tent that you’re aware of? That Nortent is sweet, but pricey…
great review!
Thank you
Great video
hi there 😊 whats the brand and model of the second tent you reviewed😊 it looks 👍
Great video,thanks
Thank you too!
What would be a good hot tent for 4people. With a floor liner to protect against water. Never had a hot tent before but thinking about getting one for a trip to alaska.
LOVE EVERYTHING YOU DO LONE WOLF 902🥰👍😊💙😘
Have always enjoyed the content man! Been looking into winter time camping but I live in TX :(
Thank you
@lonewolf902 sir can you do a review on the third tent, the one that opens up. Can you do a full review with a stove and everything. LOVE your channel
Thank you, I have reviewed all of these tents. Please check my reviews playlist
One thing that I have not seen addressed is how light they are at night. If you can see the occupants from the outside. I am looking for privacy in group caming.
300d oxford with pomoly blocks light
Great videos, I am interested in an all-weather hot tent with room for 3 people plus the stove.
Great choice. Look into pomoly tents, they will offer many sizes
Awesome video and commentary 👌
Thank you
Very helpful...thank you very much.
Thank you
Between the Leo 2 and the Locomotive 2. Which would you choose for two people hot tent camping
Great Stuff Homie,
I appreciate the video! Liked, subscribed and rang the bell based off this one video. ⚡️🤟⚡️
Thank you very much
Do you think they could make that stove smaller for bike camping? Love what you do,thanks for sharing the info. From your head...:)
I realize this is 4 years old but where do tunnels fit in? I really like the format but I’m getting older and having to crouch down all the time is a big negative. 🤙🏼🇨🇦
Very nice!
Thank you
Full of knowledge🤩
Thanks alot 😁👍🏕🤙
