Pajama Sam: You Are What You Eat From Your Head To Your Feet [UK Dub] Walkthrough Part 1

- Finally I'm getting this started. Hopefully this will make up for my lack of activity during the holidays.
In this part, our hero Sam is kidnapped and forced against his will to join a political party. He then stages a jailbreak, meets a carrot with a Liverpool accent who apparently already knows him (Pajama Sam 1 and 2 weren't released in the UK!), encounters chutney made with gurkins (whatever those are), ventures into a giant heart, and finds one of his objectives treading caramel.
Some notes:
I'm pretty sure the edits to the script should be obvious. Cookies=Biscuits or bickies (sounds like a swear word to me!) Pantry=Cupboard, etc...
In case you couldn't hear past Carrot's Liverpool accent, Chuck Cheddar's name in this version is "Jack Cheddar". Makes a little bit more sense to me, I guess.
Anyone out there have any idea exactly what chutney is? I can tell from the help file in the game that it definitely isn't another word for relish.

Is it wrong I kind of like these voices? I still prefer the originals but I kinda like these.
BTW Chutney is "a spicy condiment made of fruits or vegetables with vinegar, spices, and sugar, originating in India."
the PS1 version of this British dub had higher quality dialog
Also, Sam called Box Tops "Box Tokens."

IT DOESN'T FEEL RIGHT WHEN I CAN'T IMAGINE HANK HILL SAYING "GAHDANGGIT" AND THEN PROCEEDING TO TELL BOBBY NOT TO DO SOMETHING RIDICULOUS THAT SAM DOES.
This is weird. I wonder why they decided to dub it with a different accent just because it's a different country.
+Guru Laghima It's because of UK and US have different kind of English. For example they spell color with a U so it's "colour" and have differnt terms than americans like lorry instead of truck, sweets instead of candy (the term candy in UK is refered to choclates as in candy & flowers), crisps instead of chips (chips is what they call frensh fries over there) and so on. Also they prounouce the words differently they often have a longer "A". Me, I prefer American English (I am a swede) but there are a few exceptions, like Z (I prefer to say Zed instead of Sii when it comes to "Z").
Mats Berglinn I know that, but it's still mutually intelligible. 99.99% of the time, voice acting in the UK is kept that way for American audiences and voice acting in the US is kept that way for British audiences. This is the only time I have seen it otherwise.
It seems that chutney is a particular type of relish, from India! Indian food being bizarrely popular in the United Kingdom...
Sounds more original than the PSX port.
Carrot sounds like a leprechaun in the UK version.

Pyjama Sam saved the carrot in the first game, Sam 1.
You learn something new everyday. I never knew pickles were called gherkins in the UK.
I swear I've heard Sam's UK voice somewhere...

The Wii version was released in the UK... does it have the UK voices?
A is for Awesome! Actually, only the first Pajama Sam game got a Wii port, and it was never dubbed for UK English in the first place. This one was, however, ported to Playstation back in the day, and the UK release of that version did in fact use the same dubbing as this. In fact, the UK PS1 version's dialogue is audibly better quality recordings than the PC version, owing to PC being stuck with the limits of the SCUMM engine at the time.
So they used the US voices for the PAL Wii port?
They did. That was unusual since the US versions were usually hard to understand for European gamers.
