Enjoyed the video, thanks for posting. I agree with another comment, the good audio quality is appreciated. Working with 3 dealers, waiting for my Rally since February.....
You should. You could probably tell from the video, but it’s just off of Soldier Pass on your side of the mountain. I think it continues on the opposite side of the road from where I started, so I’ll probably head up that way soon.
What happened to the "HDH" windshield decal? that looked great! yes, the suspention replacement is a hard pill to swallow. the longer we wait the more options we will have ( possibly cheaper too) I got the low version of the FORMA Adventure boot and they truely are that happy middle ground in dual sport / ADV boots. Utah looks beautiful.
Thanks for the tip on the FORMA boots. I'll check them out. I'm impressed that you noticed the missing HDH decal :) It started getting tattered at the edges, so I decided to try something different. Maybe I'll throw up another short to show it off.
What a great place to ride! Out here in South eastern Montana everything is ranch land and fiercely protected from outsiders. I wish the government would open up some areas for us older riders to explore.
Looked like a blast! Glad we didn't have to read about you in the news! Are you still running the original tires? People seem to either love them or hate them. I'm still mostly riding the pavement (had bike bit over a month) but looking forward to expanding my riding area out around Eagle Mt where my son lives. Thanks for the vid and hope to see you out riding the trails!
Yes, I’m still on the stock tires. I’ve been happy with them. I feel like they’re a great 50/50 tire. When it comes time to replace them, I think I’ll stick with a good 50/50 rather than going with anything more aggressive. Hope you’re loving your bike!
@@HighDesertHills I'm loving it! Still increasing my range with a good mix of pavement (going up AF Canyon) and exploring the trails around the Tibble Fork area. Eagle Mtn will be next!
I really feel sorry for a guy that paid almost $3,000 over book price. I just found a CRF300L for $4800 with 600 miles and $400 worth of upgrades. I guess throwing $1,500 at it to make it the perfect bike for $6300 is a bargain... And I still have $1,700 left to put gas in it for the next 20 years.
That’s a screaming deal, congrats! I paid a premium for mine because dealers around here really take you to the cleaners. But no regrets. I didn’t have to wait, and I’ve had an absolute blast on it for the past 15 months.
@@HighDesertHills I'm in Colorado but home is Iowa. "Midwest nice" dealers back home I guess. One of the bad things I've noticed out here is that people are not very friendly especially anyone who sells anything or works on anything.
@@HighDesertHills I take it youre not a gamer. that was a gentle quip about you sounding like the timid dj on the diamond city radio station in fallout 4. Just stumbled on your channel. keep up the good work.
Haha, sorry - didn't mean it to be a bait and switch. I'm pretty new to riding in general, and at my age I tend to break fairly easily, so you won't be seeing anything like what's in your link anytime soon :)

Thanks for the feedback Todd. I hope you get your Rally soon!
your honesty commentary, is awesome !!!! its exactly what I'm thinking when i ride. love it
Haha, glad to know I'm not the only one who thinks like that. Thanks!!
That looks like a cool section of singletrack. I'll have to go check it out. Microphone sounds good. 👍

1st rule of single track...keep the smiles to yourself !
That looks so much fun. Hope to see you out west riding one day. Cheers!
Haha, dang! I’ve already broken the first rule!
Greetings
As always another fantastic video 🇺🇸🍾🎉🇺🇸
Thanks for the ride
Thank you!!

Yeah, there is so much great riding out here. A dual sport heaven.
I upgraded rear shock spring made a big difference left front fork suspension alone spent enough on other upgrades 👍🤟nice vid
Good to know. The front fork cartridges I've looked at are pretty spendy. I've wondered if just doing the back would be a good way to go.
@@HighDesertHills was for me best mod for money 👍🤟
I just checked out your video where you were testing it out for the first time. Very cool.
@@HighDesertHills thanks for checking it out 👍
What a beautiful place to be lost in.
For sure. It was a perfect evening to be out.
Hey, really enjoyed the scenery. Still waiting for my Honda on order. For all of the amateur cartographers out there, where was this video taken?
This was in northern Utah, just west of Utah Lake. Hope you get your bike soon!
I have the 2017 250 Rally now ,and I put a deposit on a 300 Rally because I know that is the only way I will ever get to try one.
Yeah. Hopefully someday supply will catch up with demand, so people don't need to buy these on faith.

Awesome! I’d love to hit some of those trails up AF canyon. We were up there a couple weeks ago in the Jeep, and I was wishing I had my bike.

just wondering have you by any chance ever been a DJ for a radio station in the commonwealth?
No, but I’m flattered if it sounds like I have a DJ-esque voice 🙂

Haha, that makes more sense. Not much of a gamer, but now I want to check out fallout 4 just to hear the timid DJ
Are you new to riding off-road? When I read "Single Track" I thought I'd see something like this: ua-cam.com/video/EvmXq9awM1A/v-deo.html
