      @@WhatAreYouBuyen Unfortunately you can't put extra space between a native lens and native camera without losing infinity focus. So if we made an EF to EF TLT ROKR, the extra space the adapter would put between the Canon EF lens and Canon EF camera would make the Canon EF lens a macro focus only lens. This is why we can only make TLT ROKR adapters for non-native lenses that have longer focal flange distances than the camera we're adapting them to.

    This video is a few years old...but do folks know of additional videos or examples of the shift function being used for "Classic Landscape" images?
    Specifically, i have experience with Large Format 4x5 imagery...where the focal plane is tilted to ensure the FOREGROUND is in focus (e.g., nearby cactus, trees, rocks, etc.)...while the BACKGROUND is also in focus (e.g., distant mountains, clouds, etc.).
    So, are there images that show this being done with this Fotodiox tilt-shift lens?

    • @FotodioxInc

      Hi Mohamed, with the majority of medium format lenses you should get full coverage at both extremities of the shift function. The only time you may get a bit of vignetting at the edges is if you use an ultra wide angle or fisheye lens.

      All medium format mounts have some nice options. We don't always have enough time to go into that amount of detail, but there are some great channels on youtube that do deep dive reviews on individual lenses. If you find a lens that's affordable that you're interested in, just search the name of the lens on youtube. Odds are there's already a good review/demo about it.

    Can the TLT ROKR do the same 4 image rotation stitch function like the RhinoCam Vertex? If so, why is the RhinoCam Vertex more expensive if it doesn't do tilt/shift? Not sure which one to buy!

    • @FotodioxInc
      @FotodioxInc  Рік тому

      No, the TLT ROKR can't do the same kind of clean rotational stitch as the RhinoCam Vertex can. With TLT ROKR you can shift left and right or rotate and shift up and down or diagonal, so if you did do an 8 image stitch--left right, up down, diagonal both ways-- the final stich would be six pointed and you'd have to crop in to remove the unexposed stuff. It's definitely doable, just not as polished or as simple as our RhinoCam Vertex system.

    • @FotodioxInc
      @FotodioxInc  4 роки тому

      Unfortunately this wouldn't work because when you put space between a native lens and native camera, you lose the ability to focus to infinity and it becomes a macro focus only lens. That's why we can only make adapters that adapt non-native lenses with longer focal flange distances. The longer focal flange distance gives us the extra space we need for an adapter while still being able to keep the lens focused to infinity. Hope this makes sense. I never work with medium format lenses before and would like to ask the following: I read that a 45mm 6x7 lens from medium 6x7 body is equivalent to 23mm on a 35mm body. If 1 attach a 45mm 6x7 lens on the TLT ROKR tilt-shift adapter, what angle of coverage will I get on the 35mm full frame body? Thanks

    • @FotodioxInc
      @FotodioxInc  4 роки тому +1

      That's actually not accurate, because 35mm full frame is the standard, so if you mount a 45mm 6x7 lens on your full frame camera with an adapter like our TLT ROKR, you'll get the same angle of coverage you'd get with a 45mm full frame lens. But if you mount a 45mm 6x7 lens on a 6x7 camera, it will give you an angle of coverage equivalent to a 22.5mm f/1.4 lens on a full frame camera. So if your sensor is smaller than full frame it crops in on the lens and makes the lens's angle of coverage longer, but if your sensor is larger than a full frame is crops out on the lens and makes your lens's angle of coverage wider. Hope that makes sense.
