Omg my mom passed away last month and our cat is suffering and has a bump on his upper leg and doesn’t walk right. He’s 14 and my mom was 78. She loved that cat and that was her cat before she moved couple years back next to my sisters home outta state. I’m devastated knowing my baby might not make it and have to eventually put him down. All I can say is my mom spent $1,300 to remove a large mushroom size bump on her left shoulder back area, only 6 months later another one same spot is growing and now 1 year later there are 3 hard and growing aggressively doctor said it's fine !? I don't think the dog feels too good about it she is 16 and half and when you rub it she looks at you like she feels uncomfortable
@8757kathy 18 is old, however, if all else is healthy ( chest xray, cbc/chem/t4, and abdominal ultrasound) , surgery may be an option if quality of life is not good with the tumor.
My dog has many lumps but I cannot afford to take her to the doctor. Every time I go to the vet, it’s minimum $200. I wish they can set up a monthly payment plan but nope. I love my dog so much... I don’t know what to do...
I know that I am facing the fact that I am going to have to have her euthanized or something. I was wondering, is there any kind of pill that I could get from a vet to give her, so she can stay home and just go to sleep and not wake up?? I don't want her to have to go through that too...going to a vet's office and getting a shot, and having to go through all that emotions around strangers. Any suggestions appreciated.
I wish there was a good vet in my place. I live in a relatively small town and my pug of 4 months has developed a lump in the back of her spine. I've gone to 3 different vets and animal hospital. None of them have the instrument to process it but all of them have told me not to worry and that they would remove it once she's 6 months old and strong enough to go under anaesthesia but I feel helpless and my mind is constantly restless if it turns out to be malignant. I pray to God that it's benign.
Did you get it removed? I have a pug pet too and he is 3 and half years old. He got the lump on the back of his spine near tailbone. It was small at first and the lump was gone for few months but now it’s suddenly enlarged a bit.
Visit to vet $50-100 to look at it. $250 to send sample out to lab. And so far nothing's been done to try to cure it. Bottom line is that most pets will die because normal working-class folks can't afford any cures.
I refuse to run to the vet for every bump, bruise, etc. If I did, I would not be able to eat myself and the cost of visiting a vet is easily augmented by the vet office, once they prey on your fear of losing your loved one. So, be wise, but don't let fear keep you in its grips. This is informative, but common sense is best applied or they'll have us biopsying, x-raying, etc. until they have all our money.
You are a pain in the ass---Andrya is right. I love my animals BUT visits for lumps can cost a ton of $ (that most of us do not have) and then if the prognosis is not good, prepare for a $grant or two, maybe three to postpone the inevitable---and the animal suffers for your sentimentality.
Oh my gosh I’m so sorry. My baby is 10 and she has large bumps on her face. One is right under her eye and it’s getting bigger. It’s so concerning but I need money to take care of her. I’m so scared 😭
Having a veterinarian FNA(aspirate with a needle) to look at the cells on a slide is the easiest prior to scheduling an anesthesia. Different lumps require different size incisions and cost. See Mast cell tumors video or google MCT in dogs.
I have a female cat named Ally who i found at my dads work, and so i have no idea how old she is or if she was fixed. But when i brought her home, she was a very hyper cat, loveing life any everything. She gets along very well with my 2 other dogs, and one night i let her sleep with us in my room on my chair. Well after that i notice she was limping. Now she's still eating and drinking, but then i found a lump on her bottem back leg.
I just found out my cat has a lump in her chest 1/3 the size of her heart, next to her heart that appeared out of no where in less than a year. She got incredibly sick a couple of days ago, the levels of her kidney and liver were way way out of wack. Its pretty obvious she has cancer, and there's nothing I can do. These "doctors" want thousands and thousands to help her.... more like help their pockets. This is disgusting!!!! And I'm helpless to help her!!!
Agreed. Took my dog into the vet because she was sick. She started arresting while we were there and they asked me "do you want us to help her?" And then told me it would be $250 for them to do so. You're in an emotional state and just want your family member to live so of course you're goin to say yes. in the end i still had to put my girl down. They couldn't even help her and i still got stuck with an almost $3k bill I'm still struggling to pay off.

I just found a lump on my rat terrier's neck.. Its about golf ball sized.. She has not been eating as much but is still really energetic.. And she has been eating grass.. Im gonna take her to the vet tomarrow.. But im still really worried.. Also she is 8 years old (Human years) if that means anything..
@Panicandjordan I suggest visiting your veterinarian. The bumps could be nothing, but it is important for them to diagnose in person. Good luck. Hope it is nothing.
Isa Bos yes! Took him to the vet the said maybe acid reflex or mosquito bite. It was right beside his pp😂 but it moved around that area a little and got a little bigger and went away!! Good luck hope everything is okay they gave us meds for him.
I have a female golden retriever 9 years old and I found two lumps under my dogs jaw one on each side about 3 inches long and 2 inches in diameter. Took her to my vet today and he found 2 golf ball size tumors one on each hind leg behind her hock. So then he said he wondered if she had the tumors on the points of the shoulders and sure enought she did. He said he was almost sure she had lymphoma cancer. But without a biopsy he couldnt be 100 % sure. What do you think I should do?
My cat Amber 🐈 has a loose fatty sort of lump I’m able to wobble slightly in her lower back abdomen, it’s quite large and feels like a sack. Is this normal tummy fat? She’s slightly overweight but has been on a diet. She’s acting very tired / lethargic so I’m starting to get very worried, her breathing and heart rate seems okay with my very limited knowledge and her putting up with me putting a microphone to her chest. So much love for your content and thank you very much if you have time to reply 🙏x
I just noticed over the last few days that my cat has big lumps in her belly-they feel like lipomas but they're so big...and since yesterday she's not interested in food and she threw up a few times...planning to call the vet today. :(
Maureen Seel PLEASE DO! My dog passed away from a brain tumor a week ago & I never even notice he had it. The first sign I notice was CHANGE IN APPETITE. I took him to the vet because he had diarrhea but they said he would be okay. All along it was cancer, & I regret with all my heart not taking him back. PLEASE, take EVEY SIGN/ BEHAVIOR sign very important. The regret won’t bring your dog/loved one back once they are gone. 😥 Good luck ❤️

The question is why are our pets getting cancer tumors? What do all our pets have in common? canned food, tap water, lack of certain nutrients, polluted air? something is causing cancer and must be stopped!
Be careful with biopsies, if a tumor which has a fragile outer layer, it can cause the cancer if it is cancer to spread in the tunnels where the needle 💉 went deep into 😢 My friend made the mistake of doing a biopsy and now her beloved dogs cancer has spread 🥺
My 1 year old cat has had this bump on her lower stomach for 2 weeks now and it seems it's getting bigger. And I also feel bumps on her upper right nipple. I'm taking her to the vet this week :'(
Hello, my male kitten just has a fight with another one and I guess he fell off. Not sure. And when he returned he had no injuries but his right side of the stomach just where the rib ends had a swell. It was hard and painful. He didn't even let us pick him up. He was meowing in pain. It's been a week since the incident. It pains at times on pressing but after 6 doses of melonex 1ml each, the bump is soft. But I'm scared. Can you suggest something?
This is scare mongering at its finest. Bumps (on dogs at least) will mostly be non cancerous. Especially in middle aged to older dogs, and those that are overweight. Most bumps will just be fatty deposits. By all means take your dog to the vet, but don't allow them to rob you, especially if the dog isn't behaving differently.
Hey so my cat got vaccinated and it’s been about 1 and a half week and today i suddenly found this lump on her leg near to the area she got vaccinated. Should i be concerned? The lump is soft and kind of moveable, but also a bit firm.
I have a 15 year old shih tzue that has a very large lump on her belly. It is the kind that hangs down when she walks. It has been there since someone gave her to me over 12 years ago. It appears to be fluid filled, not sure, but seems to be. She is blind and deaf. The last few days she has been having trouble keeping her balance and often falls over when trying to walk. She was eating for me up till today, and now she can't even stand up and try to eat without falling over. Do you have any idea

My 11 year old golden has been diagnosed with cancer from a prominent vet school. I just paid 1500.00 for the diagnosis. If this were a human the price would have been in the tens of thousands. Medical care is costly, but it is part of the commitment we make when deciding to have a pet. We are trying chemo but the prognosis is not good. I was not pressed to accept chemo. Easy to blame vets.
Thank you so much for the information, My 2 year old Snow Show baby have a lump on his neck, I took him to the vet yesterday, the doctor that I usually see was not there , another female doctor sad that she does not think it is a fat-filled tumor, she first offered to do a Fine needle procedure $500 but sad that most likely she would have to do incisional biopsy or excisional biopsy . I am a student and don’t make that much money , I told her that I want the doctor that I see all the time to take a look at my cat . She sad ok , I went back to the vet today to have the doctor look at the lump , he sad that he want to remove it and gave me estimate of 1800$ . I told him I don’t have this kind of money but would use a credit card if I have to . He sad he will remove the lump and that he could store the mass and that way my bill would be 600$ less . My question is if the lump is removed how important for it to be send to pathology ? I been trying to get another opinion from another vet but no one want to give any information without seeing and testing the cat first .Thank you so much , any advice would be appreciated.

Good video, but IMO, I think it is cruel and selfish to make a pet suffer through chemo, radiation, and/or other grueling treatments for an aggressive metast cancer. If you can remove a cancer mass with clean margins, thats one thing..but going through exhaustive treatments to extend a pets life a few months or whatever... thats just mean. The pet doesn't know why it feels so bad and why its going through all that. In bad situations, seems more humane to PTS and end its suffering.
ChicosAddict If you had terminal cancer you would not be given that. You would need to suffer or take your own life. I understand why a person would want to extend a pets life. But be great full we have the choice.
I don’t know about dogs, but cats don’t react to chemotherapy the way that humans do. They don’t lose their hair or feel terrible during treatment. They may have some vomiting initially, but it doesn’t last. And they are given a steroid so they have an appetite.

Yesterday I took my dog to the SPCA for a wellness check and to look at a bump at the edge of her ribcage and between her nipples. The vet said it could be lipoma, a hernia or a tumor. It's about 3/4 inch. She asked how aggressive I want to be with this because my dog is the kind that want to bite during wellness checks and requires sedation starting the night before appointment. She was muzzled and wiggly and only one vaccine was given which took multiple jabs because she was jerking all over the place. My dog is a demon really. Anyway, I still don't know what the bump is and she acts wild as usual so we are just watching it. I feel like she will have to be shot with a dart like a wild animal or zoo animal before any treatment can happen. What a mess she is. She was on trazadone and gabapentin starting the night before and then again two hours before appointment.
My dog has a bump on the back of his right leg. It is gushy, brown, and it has black on top. It hurts him very bad and he is a super tiny Yorkee. Please someone. Please tell me what it is..
@jackie9576 This may be from the vaccine. You should have your veterinarian feel it to confirm. Usually will go away, however, let your veterinarian decide.
my 7 year old female golden retriever has two hard-ish lumps on her back. They have been there for a while (maybe over 10 months). Ocassionally, I notice that the bumps have some kind of reddish discharge that looks like blood. Today, I saw that and I tried squeezing the bump and some clear fluid came out. We are taking her to the vet but in the meanwhile I;m really worried for my dog. I love her like family. What could this be?
I have a female dog which is about years old. She used to have a small lump in the nipple but last two days, the lump suddenly enlarged. I'm extremely worried. I had talked to my vet about it, and he told me to try on antibiotics first. He gave me antibiotics and anti swelling pills I'm not sure if it will help but I hope so. At the mean time the lump itself is making my dog uncomfortable. Every time she tries to lay, she will get up if she accidentally pressed on the lump so I assume it is painful. Can anyone advise me, is it a risk to let her go through surgery to remove it considering, she's 9 years old. She meant a lot to me, and I cannot loose her. Pls help

While we do not provide diagnosis through this platform, you may want to look up Miliary Dermatitis in cats. We recommend you have your veterinarian evaluate for a proper diagnosis and potential treatment plan.
I'm aware that this is for dogs, but I have a cat who has a lump on its leg. It's been there for almost 6 months and hasn't really grown at all. It's very round and just below the surface of his skin. My cat is overweight so it's making me think it is a fatty tumour. I recently took him to the vet as he has an infection in his anal gland. I asked her about it and she thinks it's a fatty tumour or just a cyst, but when she looked at it under the microscope it had unusual cells. We sent the results to a lab but we won't be hearing for a week and i'm very worried. Do you think this is benign or possibly malignant?
What was the diagnosis? My dog also has lumps or I dont know what and it's been there for like 1 year and sometimes it gets bigger and sometimes smaller.

I took her to the vet for a regular checkup and the vet said they would have to give her anestesia remove it and send to a lab but he said it appeared to be harmless since she doesnt itch it. Fast forward to today and she has 4 more of those same bumps in different areas. I cant afford to get them evaluated until next month. Can anyone PLEASE help or give any suggestions if you have any experience or knowledge on the subject? I can send pics,
It’s been 8 years what happened to ur dog?
Try a different Veterinarian because the average cost in my area for an examination is $40.
May be higher where you are but $200 is really excessive.
Keep praying for your four legged family member's health
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂 facts on god facts 😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Maybe you shouldn't have any animals if their health isn't a priority for you!
MFO are you gone pay for the vists to the vet?
if you can't afford to take care of your animals and let them get cancer by playing a guessing game at home, then don't have any
You are a pain in the ass---Andrya is right. I love my animals BUT visits for lumps can cost a ton of $ (that most of us do not have) and then if the prognosis is not good, prepare for a $grant or two, maybe three to postpone the inevitable---and the animal suffers for your sentimentality.

Having a veterinarian FNA(aspirate with a needle) to look at the cells on a slide is the easiest prior to scheduling an anesthesia. Different lumps require different size incisions and cost. See Mast cell tumors video or google MCT in dogs.

Aspirations will spread the cancer if it is malignant
Does aspirating a lump, seed cancer if it is cancerous?
:(
Agree
Awwwh I am so sorry ☹️
Iam so so so sorry. It’s not your fault. She loved you so much. ❤
My dog has a bump on her elbow I’m worried about it. My brother’s friend is a vet I’m going to let him look at it Saturday when he comes.

Does its color matter

Maddie n Bri my dog also has a bump I’m going to the vet next week did you hear anything yet?

Have any lump checked by your veterinarian.
I just noticed over the last few days that my cat has big lumps in her belly-they feel like lipomas but they're so big...and since yesterday she's not interested in food and she threw up a few times...planning to call the vet today. :(

She was eating for me up till today, and now she can't even stand up and try to eat without falling over. Do you have any idea

I have deep fear over my dogs lumps. Have been told by vets that they are all likely lipomas.
But I can’t afford to get the tested or even removed.
I’m quoted at minimum 250$ per lump. It’ll be over a grand just to remove without testing

VetVid okay
Good video, but IMO, I think it is cruel and selfish to make a pet suffer through chemo, radiation, and/or other grueling treatments for an aggressive metast cancer. If you can remove a cancer mass with clean margins, thats one thing..but going through exhaustive treatments to extend a pets life a few months or whatever... thats just mean. The pet doesn't know why it feels so bad and why its going through all that. In bad situations, seems more humane to PTS and end its suffering.
ChicosAddict
If you had terminal cancer you would not be given that. You would need to suffer or take your own life. I understand why a person would want to extend a pets life. But be great full we have the choice.
you do what you want with YOUR pet, butt out of other peoples lives
