- In the race for cheapest new car on the market, this 2024 Nissan Versa has a huge advantage...and that's that all of its competition is practically gone. This is one of only 2 compact sedans still around for the 2024 model year. So let's see whether this Nissan Versa is worth checking out, or whether this entire class needs to be left behind like a pair of skinny jeans.

I'm getting almost 39mpg with the manual transmission. I do a balance of city and highway driving. The stereo sounds great, and the suspension is pretty comfortable.
I purchased my 2012 Versa in 2011 and still driving it daily. It has accumulated 130,000 km as of today. Had to replace the front struts when it was 4 years old. The CVT gave in before 5 years ended. The dealer fixed it and costed me nothing but never told me what’s wrong. I cannot see any evidence under the hood that the CVT has been worked on or replaced. My mechanic friend told me it was likely a computer software issue? I believe it is time to replace it the near future? The 2024 looks good but the back seat leg room is a lot less. It’s a 50/50 decision if I have to make the choice today. After all, I honestly believe it’s good value IMO.
Fantastic Presentation Champ.
Thank you for the manual gearbox Nissan!!!
I bought my 2024 Nissan Versa SV and I love it....... Im getting 43 Miles per gallon you really cant beat this! This is the closest you come to not buying an Electric car which is definitely coming soon. I love driving this car its an incredibly great ride for $21,000 dollars believe me I was quoted more than $21,000 dollars on used cars. Nissan Versa is the last subcompact car on the market but worth every penny.
I get 46 mpg 😄
Wireless charging pad was a real surprise on a car in this price point, especially when you have to step up to SL trim on Rogue or Altima
Personally CTV transmission fuid drain and fill Never do a flush. I say every 15,000 miles help keep CTV transmission.
Agreed, we've had 4 Nissan CVT's and I change fluid every 25k including the small paper filter. Screen about 60k. Use scan tool to level off. Curranty have 140k on '13 Sentra. Runs the same as new.
How much did this cost you?
I'd say using the Nissan NS-3 (3 qt at around $14 a qt plus the paper filter around $10 online) $50ish plus my time. Mind you, having a scan tool that can access transmission temp helps too. @@stealthis
I bought the new version of versa today I think it is a good car for the price today
Nissan is not good car don't loose your money transmission is not good
It is cute, comes loaded with stuff, and gets great gas mileage.
I checked it out it’s a nice vechile
Tried to build and price on the Nissan Canada website, and it doesn't look like a manual transmission is an option.
for an Uber driver that needs a cheap reliable beater or a Turo host this car could be a gold mine. As both, I like it
you can actually get Apple Carplay/Android Auto on the S model if it comes with the S plus package, it also gives you bigger/nicer wheels like on the SV. i got a 23 SR a year go in N TX, first one to drop in the whole area, lucked out! been a great little car, and the sound system pretty decent too, since you get 6 speakers, instead of 4 like the S and SV. it's gotta be a Bose, sounds too good ☮
Only if equipped with the cvt. S plus package is not available with manual transmission
Cool car
What's the fastest that it can go?
Great car
CVT Fluid every 30K NOT 60K, sell it once you get to 100K.
I don’t expect to do 30k in 15 years
The fluid breaks down over time. Havoline CVT Fluid has a shelf life of 60 Months.@@Tom-sg4iv
I have done it every 45k miles and no issues so far at 120k miles
It has not look burnt or stinky when changing fluid
Manufactures generally recommend 60K. The shelf life of CVT fluid is 60 months. 45K should be fine.@@reyperez3424
Wise statement about CVT fluid change
What's the towing capacity with the manual transmission?
You towing with a subcompact sedan?
I saw one like this the other day same color too, they seem rare and hard to find. What is the color? Really nice car in person for a small car! Currently own '13 Sentra SR around 140k. Going to run it till the CVT drops... fluid changes every 25k including filter.
Grey sky pearl. Nissan has the nicest grey colors. I also love the boulder gray pearl. My car is white. That's all they had when I bought it.
@@Jan96106 Thanks! Really a different color!
Sad thats its a dying segment in our market because it was entry way into getting into a new vehicle all these crossovers cost way more
You’re telling me that a puddle jumper gets only 30-35 mpg on a good day? I’m old enough to remember when there was no versa; and all but the California spec Sentra got over 40mpg..
I want one! I like small cars!
Bruh this car not small lol
@@goga.games18 In the USA, it's the smallest car you can buy. The Mitsubishi Mirage, Chevy Spark, Hyundai Accent & Kia Rio have all been cancelled.
the height of the roof from the ground is far lower than what the versa was back in 2016... the 2024 versa seems way smaller than the 2016 versa
Merci pour ces informations.
Only 2k $ more for automatic transmission & better fuel economy? it's not a deal: stick with the stick. In the long term this will avoid costly cvt transmission repairs .We are lucky to choose a manual gearbox here, it is worth learning for dummies. I prefer replacing many clutches rather than the entire trany.
Wish a hatchback like older models
Versa Note was a good little vehicle
change my nissan 2023 for 2024🤩 from dominican republic
This is not cheap in any parameter. Cars became expensive in USA due to inflation. I must still say that cars are far better in India if I were to compare the cost vs features vs affordability matrix. This was not the case earlier. This car can be compared to Honda City which is sold in India by similar Japanese manufacturer, but that car is very nice and roomy. Also I don't know why there are not many car decors shops in USA who can do custom car covers, car floor matting, floor mats. This is another segment which I like in India where you can choose your car cover fabric and get it custom stitched to your liking. This makes a lot of difference in affordability too. I only wish American people could experience such kind of options available and come up with business ideas to make it viable to mass market.
The height of the 2024 Nissan versa is lower and the ground Clearance is lower than the 2016 Nissan versa ...the car feels much smaller.
You didn’t push the turbo button
Get the 5speed manual.
Why so 👀
seems to be the last car in US that offers manual transmission in budget car line. Everyone is going cvt. Ugh.😢
I gotta 2016 this is a major upgrade lol
This car is much smaller than a 2016 Nissan versa.. the height is smaller and the ground clearance is smaller
Malaysia have 1.0 Turbo
I want the SR then you can get a red body.
The problem is when you add the useless nitrous that you don't want and many other serious markups, it could easily get to $40,000 or more in dealer markups. I will not pay $40,000 or more for a cheap Nissan Versa. Buy from a private individual. I can't believe all the markups at various dealerships I've been to. I will never buy from a dealer after seeing car prices at least double. It's funny how all car reviewers lie about being 6 feet tall, and I guess because they are salesmen of 2024.
even they don't have engine covers
Nice when go to Indonesia NISSAN.
Ford chevrolet honda toyota 2024 =cvt
CVTs are aids to value and reliability.
Why the hell do all modern car engine bays look like rats nest
Downside: Eye damaging headlights.
