I've found that so long as your respectful of nature and other people that I could camp and sleep wherever I liked. In a tent, or sleeping bag, or car, or just in the open. If it is obvious you're not there to cause trouble, no one really cares. But I would say that this is the first video I've watched of yours. It would be good to see you explore, hike, and discover the area around you.

You see there is this little European Treaty called Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms it is legal for any legal inhabitant of the EU (i.e. any EU citizen staying in the EU) to choise his/her loaction to stay as long as he/she conforms to reasonable rules. The article this right to choice ones place of dwelling is article 2 protocol 4 . A (local) authority is not permitted to restrict this freedom of choice in any way as long as you abide to reasonable rules: dont litter, dont dump your toilet waste all over, dont prostitute yourself, your partner or any other members of your family, dont make a sheit load of noise, dont pick fights and dont cause problems to the local enviroment and/or public health. Again: as long as you dont do any of those things and you get a ticket for "not being allowed to stay overnight (which is in most cases a local (or By)law), fight it in court and agrue it is your right by European treaty to stay in your vehicle if you so choose... You may ask: well local laws should be abided by...Yes true but if one or several of these laws (whatever their level in the nation hiarchy of laws may be) are in conflict with any international treaty, the treay goes. In this case the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms goes above the loacl or national laws... Ask people who voted for Brexit why they did so !
You didn't mention Eastern Europe. I see our friends go totally crazy once there. So, I walk to this remote beauty spot on the seaside which is not really accessible by cars. And I see German vans standing there. Come on people! Either they need to ban wild camping as in Germany or Germany needs to allow wild camping. Because people go really wild once they got out of those strict countries and drive right into nature which you are not supposed to do.

@@MatthiasSchwarzer You are mistaken no law in Denmark forbids sleeping in your car except for the same rules as Germany(private area, nature, parking forbidden signs), also if you are to tired to drive further you are required by law to pull over

Manche meiner Videos sind auf deutsch, weil das Thema im Ausland niemanden interessiert (beispielsweise bestimmte Drehort-Touren). Grundsätzlich versuche ich aber, meine Videos möglichst international zu gestalten.
Wo schlafen die ganzen LKW Fahrer#Innen, wenn die "offiziell" nicht im LKW oder im Transporter schlafen dürfen?, In ihren Fahrzeugen natürlich, in gesamt Europa. Die können ja nicht, zu fuss, vom LKW-Autohof/ Rastplatz/ Autopahn-Parkplatz, oder sonstigen kleineren Autobahnpausenplätzen, zu einem, mehrere Kilometer entfernten, Hotel/Gästehaus/Zimmer..........laufen/gehen. Soviel Unterkünfte gibt es in Autobahn nähe nicht, dass die immer, jede nacht eine bezahlbare Unterkunft finden würden. Deshalb haben die LKW ihren eigenen Schlafplatz eingebaut, und in manchen LKW sogar zwei Schlafplätze. Darum kann ich mir nicht vorstellen, dass es in Europa ein Nachtschlafverbot gibt. Und die WohnmobilbesitzerInnen und Camper Van BesitzerInnen ? Die kaufen sich doch so ein Fahrzeug, nur damit sie in ganz Europa (Weltweit) rumfahren können, und damit sie, nicht irgendwo, im teuren Hotel, schlafen müssen.

Sad story, but sleeping in the car is still forbidden in Denmark.
