in all of these hypotheticals i always end up overthinking instead of just choosing my favorites well, whatever, here are my picks and why i chose em *1. Save Rolling Girl* Immediately starting off terribly with two of some of the most iconic vocaloid songs. Both are very similar in tone, but the styles of the two are vastly different and have different stories to tell. Both are incredibly influential and the disappearance of one may never leave the VOCALOID community the same ever again. They are too important to be simply turned into lost media forever. However, there are and probably will be plenty more Neru songs to enjoy on the future. Wowaka is the opposite, and the music he created automatically becomes far more important to preserve. Neru's legacy continues to be shaped, molded, and overwritten, and we are seeing it happen in real time. He is still alive. He can simply replace those lost works with new ones, he can write more songs. Wowaka's legacy remains unchanged since his death. The music he created in his life is all that is left of him and that is how we will remember him. The more of his works that we lose, the more we forget about him. tHis my choice to save Rolling Girl *2. Save Meltdown* Oh thank god it's an easy one I don't have to explain much. While I do love Egoist and hold quite a bit of nostalgia from it as a person who hasn't personally been in the community for long and as someone who loves animation memes, it's not nearly as impactful as the absolute classic that is Meltdown. People fucking love Meltdown. It's been around for so long and resonated with so many people that I cannot bear to take this song away from them. I think the song is also just genuinely great, too. *3. Save Shoujo Rei* Struggled a bit with this because the songs are both "popular" but not well renowned classics like some of the others on this list. Both are not old enough nor have the followings to be considered all that important in the grand scheme of things. Ultimately, I decided to choose based on viewcount and, uh, which one was in Global PJSK servers *4. Save Phony* Literally the same as last one, though it's worth noting that Queen is pretty much a sister song to KING, though that doesn't really help its case considering that song is already fine standalone. *5. Save ?????* I don't know either of these. *6. Save Lost Umbrella* Yeah, simply being in global PJSK servers isn't gonna do any good for Hated By LIfe Itself. It's a great song, but the impact Lost Umbrella has made (especially recently with that shitty phonk remix, not saying that's necessarily a good thing but y'know) can't simply be ignored in this case. Also this is probably the first where I'm putting more of my personal bias into my answer. I simply prefer Lost Umbrella over Hated By LIfe Itself *7. Save Hole-Dwelling* If the last answer was already biased, than this one must be motherfucking ad hominem indoctrination city. Both have similar viewcounts, similar release/upload dates, "r/im14andthisisdeep" ass lyrics, but seeing the name "Kikuo" appear on screen made this an incredibly easy thing to choose. Yeah, I'm a fan of this guy, I love Hole-dwelling. There's no way I'm letting his music cease to exist. And besides, there's like a bajillion animation memes with the song I chose to save, so even if wasn't this biased I'd probably still go for Hole-Dwelling due to it being ever-so-slightly popular. *8. Save Unknown Mother Goose* Same as the very first one, except neither are considered these 'untouchable legends." Wowaka will never be able to create music again and this the songs he has written take top priority. Mother Goose was his last ever Miku song, for god's sake. *9. Save Villian* I'm gonna be honest, I was on the fence for this one for a good while. I love Lower will all my heart, I prefer it to Villian actually. I was also thinking that since it was a commissioned song for PJSK, killing it would complicate the game. That's when I remembered they announced that What Sort of Ending Are You WIshing For? was another commissioned song that was going to be removed from the game due to controversy, so my argument kinda went out the window. And, while I don't care for Villian as much, uh, hey, Happy late Pride Month...? *10. Save Ghost Rule* Same as the second one on this list. You're really telling me that people would choose Venom over Ghost Rule? I mean, I like both songs, but does Venom has at least half as many fucking covers that Ghost Rule does? I didn't think so. *11. Save Pamela* I don't know Just Life and I only know Pamela from an OMORI video. Yeah, if you know what the fuck kind of person I am and what project I'm hosting, you know where this is going. *12. Save Telecaster B Boy* I'm convinced this and the Ghost Rule one are absolute jokes. What's even worse is that I don't even know Marshall Maximizer *13. Save ?????* I don't know either of these. well, whatever, here are my picks and why i chose em
*1. Save Rolling Girl*
Immediately starting off terribly with two of some of the most iconic vocaloid songs. Both are very similar in tone, but the styles of the two are vastly different and have different stories to tell. Both are incredibly influential and the disappearance of one may never leave the VOCALOID community the same ever again. They are too important to be simply turned into lost media forever.
However, there are and probably will be plenty more Neru songs to enjoy on the future. Wowaka is the opposite, and the music he created automatically becomes far more important to preserve.
Neru's legacy continues to be shaped, molded, and overwritten, and we are seeing it happen in real time. He is still alive. He can simply replace those lost works with new ones, he can write more songs.
Wowaka's legacy remains unchanged since his death. The music he created in his life is all that is left of him and that is how we will remember him. The more of his works that we lose, the more we forget about him. tHis my choice to save Rolling Girl
*2. Save Meltdown*
Oh thank god it's an easy one I don't have to explain much. While I do love Egoist and hold quite a bit of nostalgia from it as a person who hasn't personally been in the community for long and as someone who loves animation memes, it's not nearly as impactful as the absolute classic that is Meltdown. People fucking love Meltdown. It's been around for so long and resonated with so many people that I cannot bear to take this song away from them. I think the song is also just genuinely great, too.
*3. Save Shoujo Rei*
Struggled a bit with this because the songs are both "popular" but not well renowned classics like some of the others on this list. Both are not old enough nor have the followings to be considered all that important in the grand scheme of things. Ultimately, I decided to choose based on viewcount and, uh, which one was in Global PJSK servers
*4. Save Phony*
Literally the same as last one, though it's worth noting that Queen is pretty much a sister song to KING, though that doesn't really help its case considering that song is already fine standalone.
*5. Save ?????*
I don't know either of these.
*6. Save Lost Umbrella*
Yeah, simply being in global PJSK servers isn't gonna do any good for Hated By LIfe Itself. It's a great song, but the impact Lost Umbrella has made (especially recently with that shitty phonk remix, not saying that's necessarily a good thing but y'know) can't simply be ignored in this case. Also this is probably the first where I'm putting more of my personal bias into my answer. I simply prefer Lost Umbrella over Hated By LIfe Itself
*7. Save Hole-Dwelling*
If the last answer was already biased, than this one must be motherfucking ad hominem indoctrination city. Both have similar viewcounts, similar release/upload dates, "r/im14andthisisdeep" ass lyrics, but seeing the name "Kikuo" appear on screen made this an incredibly easy thing to choose. Yeah, I'm a fan of this guy, I love Hole-dwelling. There's no way I'm letting his music cease to exist. And besides, there's like a bajillion animation memes with the song I chose to save, so even if wasn't this biased I'd probably still go for Hole-Dwelling due to it being ever-so-slightly popular.
*8. Save Unknown Mother Goose*
Same as the very first one, except neither are considered these 'untouchable legends." Wowaka will never be able to create music again and this the songs he has written take top priority. Mother Goose was his last ever Miku song, for god's sake.
*9. Save Villian*
I'm gonna be honest, I was on the fence for this one for a good while. I love Lower will all my heart, I prefer it to Villian actually. I was also thinking that since it was a commissioned song for PJSK, killing it would complicate the game. That's when I remembered they announced that What Sort of Ending Are You WIshing For? was another commissioned song that was going to be removed from the game due to controversy, so my argument kinda went out the window. And, while I don't care for Villian as much, uh, hey, Happy late Pride Month...?
*10. Save Ghost Rule*
Same as the second one on this list. You're really telling me that people would choose Venom over Ghost Rule? I mean, I like both songs, but does Venom has at least half as many fucking covers that Ghost Rule does? I didn't think so.
*11. Save Pamela*
I don't know Just Life and I only know Pamela from an OMORI video. Yeah, if you know what the fuck kind of person I am and what project I'm hosting, you know where this is going.
*12. Save Telecaster B Boy*
I'm convinced this and the Ghost Rule one are absolute jokes. What's even worse is that I don't even know Marshall Maximizer

In my opinion, older songs just hit different. Also, if you listen carefully, the old songs' background music and the effects used is very odd (but the song is still rlly catchy), prove that the producers are super talented!!! Even tho the kind of music like Abnormality Dancin' Girl or Egoist is also very catchy but the background music doesn't touch the listener, but only the lyrics. ( I'm talking abt the others choices to save.) (GUYS THIS IS MY OWN OPINION OKAY, IF YOU DON'T LIKE ME YAPPING NO NEED TO ANSWER.)
