    I am a fan of Chantecaille products and I definitely saw a difference on your face
    It looked very bright and alive
    I would buy it but then again I may be biased as I haven’t been let down by Chantecaille yet
    On another note… keep using whatever brushes you want😁😁

      Hello Judy! I am the same as you. I have not been let down by their products. But I do know people are very sensitive about high prices. I think people just have to pick and choose where they spend. I’m always super happy to take suggestions about application so that people can see different products applied in different ways. But I did have to laugh when I was told I only ever use Sonia after I had just been told I only ever use Wayne. Too funny.

    Chantecaille is one of my absolute favourite brands but it is one that you personally have to decide whether or not you want to spend the money. Everything I’ve tried from Chantecaille I adore, their future skin gel foundation is a holy grail (have you tried it Rebecca?) and I’ve recently dipped my toe into their skincare!! Heaven help by wallet!! But they are an investment!! I think your skin looked fresh and healthy and glowy.

    • @NotFitforPrintBeauty
      @NotFitforPrintBeauty  2 роки тому +5

      Camille, your point here really should be read by everyone. I agree with you. People can attack them for their prices but, if they can be afforded, it is an absolute luxury for the skin. That doesn’t mean it’s necessary for everyone to purchase but, there is no doubt, the products really do freshen the skin and are absolutely beautiful. But, Again, it’s like a luxury handbag. You can tell the difference but you will be paying for that difference as well. And many will tell us that a handbag from target does exactly the same thing. Very true. So would a paper bag or a trash bag carry your stuff around. So it just becomes about the experience and the look and what someone wants to pay or would prefer not to pay. All is understandable but it’s definitely a spectrum

    Your skin looks very smooth. I really like this. Chantecaille products are really expensive, but the ones I have and have tried are really great. I have her cushion foundation, and a lip chic. I really love them. Your face does seem to look lifted with this product. Yea, I find her stuff to be unique, even though expensive.

      I think that’s an accurate description, Janice. It’s not cheap. These are definitely definitely high end luxury products. And the price tag reflects that. I agree with you. Hello Kathy! And I think you have the right spirit for this. What I mean is, you are assessing that it is not something that you want to add to your beauty wardrobe. If it were important to you then the price would match that. I think it’s that kind of reasoning that we need when we look at luxury products. 💕

    Can’t wait to get this!! Right now I have the radiance elixir which is waaaaay more expensive but doesn’t have the “tint” that seems to be evening the skin tone. I’m telling myself to use up that product before I buy this so we’ll see😆
    Regarding the “is it worth it” argument: if you are going to spend serious money on skincare/makeup, this is one of the few brands which the quality shows. I’ve tried almost their entire skincare line (not the gold line cause It’s waaaay out there for me) and I’ve never tried a product I regretted.

    • @NotFitforPrintBeauty
      @NotFitforPrintBeauty  2 роки тому +1

      Hello Margarita! I totally agree with you. And it becomes almost the principle of the matter. Do people feel they are getting what they pay for? Are people upset by the price on principle alone? Have People never tried it and just assume they can dupe it? Are people correct that nothing should be this expensive? Or is it none of peoples business what other people spend? It swirls around and ends up becoming about more than the brand or the company and ends up being almost about the philosophy that each person holds about what they are willing to spend high prices on. And that is a really hard code to crack. Basically, what is amounts to is what you are saying here. These skin care products appear to be very good and very reliable albeit a little bit pricey and that’s where it ends.

    I can totally see a difference in your skin. It looks gorgeous!!!!! 🤩 Not sure why it’s called a “tint,” though. Regardless of the name, I love it on you!!! Well, the price is what this brand charges. Duh, but let’s think about that for a minute. The consumer has countless choices. This particular brand (which I think is awesome) puts itself out there for this price. My dad used to say: people charge X amount because people pay X amount. There is a customer base here: those of us who love the brand and the experience it provides. Can you achieve this look for a fraction of the price?? Yes, guaranteed. BUT I think (just my opinion) many people simply don’t want a “dupe.” I don’t know. I could be wrong!! I don’t mind being corrected. I actually LOVE it because I always learn a lot!!!! 🥰💖

    • @NotFitforPrintBeauty
      @NotFitforPrintBeauty  2 роки тому +1

      Much to say here, wise woman. Your father's expression proves correct. CAN you dupe this for a fraction of the price? Sure. But...it's like I said to someone below and I'm sure you've heard me go on about this before...because I've dealt with these same types of debates with $200 blue jeans back in the day (LA is a denim town so it took up a lot of my work details), "You don't HAVE to have a Chanel bag. You can have Michael Kors. You can have one from Target....you can EVEN use a Hefty bag. ALL carry your things around." EVERYONE has items they splurge on with little to no guilt and everyone has items they are HORRIFIED, and a tad bit judgemental, let's be honest, that OTHER people would splurge on!!! And I just figure, here's the product, here's what I think of it. Now people get to decide, based on their own bank balance, what is prudent, you know? We are in agreement, as usual.

      @@NotFitforPrintBeauty 💯💯💯!!!!! I could not agree more!!!!! VERY well said. Exactly. Even if you have a ton of $$$$, there is no law saying you HAVE to buy Chanel or $200 jeans. And I completely agree that we all have our splurges and some of us can become horrified when someone else chooses to splurge somewhere else. Isn’t that super interesting?!!!!!! I have to contemplate this psychological nugget a little more. There’s a lot to think about here!!! Great, I already knew I am a nerd who enjoys thinking about these things. I love Chantecaille! The product looks really nice on your skin and under the Rare Beauty skin tint. It does give you a nice brightening effect.
    As for people complaining about not just your use of brushes, but the brand of brushes, I have a few complaints:
    -please change your background, I want to buy Chanel products after after video.
    -please remove the OPI squishy, I don’t like their polish, it chips on me
    -please stop saying, “warm California sun”. I live here too, and you know darn well that we are only about 5 degrees cooler than hades, although it’s cooling down a bit at night now

    This product (plus the others you layered it with) makes your skin look amazing. So youthful, plump and even! All my liquid and cream foundations went bad during the pandemic (I wore powder under masks) and started from scratch. So I picked up the Chantecaille Future Skin Foundation. I'm now in love with that product. It's a water free mousse, and gives light but even coverage. So when I saw this I wondered if it would be a good primer. It seems to be. I'll probably stalk the product for sale prices for a while. Because this product should be $45, not $77. It's a glowy, moisturizing primer, not a laser treatment. Thanks for the review. 💚

      Also, use your brushes! I have those brands plus Rephr and Chikuhodo. You're reviewing high end products. Showing your subscribers how to use good brushes is a benefit. I never use sponges either. I have Beautyblenders but they soak up all of those expensive products.

But I have never loved them. You are also correct about this product. It is definitely not a laser treatment but, I have to say, I was very mightily impressed by the results. My skin definitely looked plumper and more awake. A good one to get on sale.

    You look radiant in this video :) I was gifted this rose tint as well as the anti-aging bronzy tint. To me they are both just skincare that I use as a primer. Are they worth the money ? Probably not. 🤷🏼‍♀️ The rose tint one reminds me of a sheer version of the Bobbi Brown rose tinted moisture balm. I think that’s what it was called. A light pink tinted primer that smelled a little like Noxema. Yes. I just said Noxema. 😜. The Bobbi Brown one was a thick, moisturizing primer with a rose hue. The chantecaille rose tint is creamy and sinks into the skin like skin care. I guess the rose tint is all that they have in common. The chantecaille is really an interesting product. It’s very subtle under makeup but it is a nice look. I am a big chantecaille fan but I’m not sure I’d tell people to rush out to buy this.

      What’s the expression for products like these? A considered purchase. Because it’s an investment no matter what and you wanna feel like you weren’t sold a bill of goods, to use an age old expression. So I completely understand it. There’s knowing that the products are high-quality and knowing that they work but that final step of thinking do I really wanna purchase these? And, you know, I’ll admit to you, that when I just reviewed products put in front of me for a magazine, I would never have bought this for myself either. I can’t compare it to the Chanel rosy drops because I only saw those in store and don’t have them here so I don’t want to make a misstep but, from what I’ve observed, this is much more like a balm and gel texture whereas the drops are much more like a thinner highlighter. You can see how this wears towards the end of the video where I post a little video in video showing it at about six or seven hours in. If anything, I got a little bit glowier. I can't deny your skin looks pretty. Here's my problem with all these skincare/makeup hybrids in general. Their claims of anti-aging benefits and all the so called "good" ingredients can't penetrate through your sunscreen can they? I mean if you use sunscreen on the daily, you put your skincare on first, then your sunscreen before your primer and makeup. Unless you don't wear sunscreen I don't think this is worth it and there are plenty of glowy primers on the market. While these products look nice how can one truly believe the marketing about their benefits. Just my opinion. In what sequence would you apply your sunscreen when you use this product Rebecca? Its confusing when a product is multipurpose.

      Carolyn! I love your comment. You make a very good point and it crosses over, as well, into layering the products and timing of application. Years ago, I had a Chanel sales associate tell me that they were of the opinion that none of it made any difference as long as you put it on. So spray sunscreen over the top of your make up, put it on first, put it on after moisturizer. They said none of it mattered and there might be some truth to that. But, sadly, if there is truth to that, it’s just because none of this really does a perfect job. We all see benefits to certain skin care. But, let’s be honest, after a while, the only benefits come from paying a lot of money to a dermatologist. In this video, I had just my morning skin care on just some vitamin C. I went out later in the day and use my habit spray sunscreen over the top of my make up. And that did not affect the look.
