I just don't understand why when the horses are acting up outside of the guard shack, the people just stand there practically in the way and the police have to tell them to move back. The guards are trying to control the horse while dodging lookyloos. It's ridiculous how they just stand and stare. Smh.....

Personally I don't agree that anyone should even be allowed to take photos of the horses and the guards. Also nobody other than the military should be touching those hoses, they are there to do a job and I think people constantly getting in the faces of both horses and riders are a massive distraction.
I am not in any way surprised the horses act up.

@JanetAFinn • I have no problem with horses or guards. One of the reasons for the guards to be in ceremonial dress whilst not taking part in a ceremony or protecting the King, is to attract tourists to London. What I do think needs to be stopped is the touching of the horses...and the rider in some cases. Also tourist numbers needs to be restricted. To see the crowd inside the yard pushing forward to film the horses at close quarters as they are ridden past is something I have never seen before. It's insane how they step in front of moving horses, just to get a "good" photo. It's dangerous for both tourists and the horses and their riders. For those people to then closely follow the guards down the tunnel was ridiculous. Why on earth did the police allow it? They never have before, and for good reason.
The sheer number of tourists crowding round the horses at the front unsettles many of the horses and causes an obstruction on the pavement, forcing pedestrians into the carriageway. More importantly the horses should be allowed their personal space, without the constant mauling of their and mouths. Anyone having a photo taken with a horse should stand at the side of the archway. A perfectly good photograph can be taken of them standing there.

The horse are spoiled take my word for it.
Water is always available in the stables , they go to Melton Mowbray regularly for a break out at grass , summer holiday on the beach . Last year's video Household Cavalry at Yellowcraig beach Scotland .. Exercised on Rotten Row Hyde Park . They get better care than you or I !
