My phone, like now while I’m writing this comment is pretty much always on me. But watching this reminds me of a trip where I decided to put my camera down and just enjoy the trip I was on. Do I miss the pictures that I could’ve had? No not in the least. My eyes were open and so was my mind with out my camera in my hand. There’s something about living in the moment and being present in that moment. The older gentleman I feel safe saying experienced a lot more during that song then the rest of the crowd with their phone out. You could see memories playing in his head as you watched his eyes and that only comes from truly being aware of your life in the present. Don’t ever forget that we’re in the middle of life and sometimes it’s best to be In that moment.

This song makes it even more sad with that old guy's expression. For some reason I'm thinkin that old guy has experienced every single line in the song before, and its piercing straight through his heart. If it's true, then damn... I felt like creating a backstory for him. He was a grumpy short-tempered man that pushed his wife and 7 year old daughter away cuz of alcoholism. So his wife and kids left him and he's all alone in his house. Every inch of the house reminds him of them and all the memories they had together, but it was too late to reconcile. So he moved far away to a different country to get away from it. Many, many years has passed and not a single word from his family, loneliness is his only companion, but he's become used to it. As he was walkin down this street, Passenger was singing this song, then the memories of his daughter that would be all grown up now start flooding back. Now try to listen to the song with that in mind. :)
Or maybe he is just the opposite of what you imagined and he was standing right next to his daughters ^_^ and he was just thinking, I'm on camera I'll just act like I'm deeply touched with this song probably people will buy it later on UA-cam.
