I agree....I was a decorative painter and crafter and am now dabbling in mixed media and journal making. Your journal from your Mom’s things is lovely. Thank you so much for sharing.💕. I am 75 and still having so much fun! God is good. 🤗
Hi Carol, I'm so glad you liked my journal. I too enjoy learning about mixed media, So many things to make and not enough time lol. I'm glad you are having fun crafting. TFW Hugs Jackie
I have to agree that still to this day this is one of the prettier journals that I have ever seen! I lost my mother two years ago as well as my mother in law this past July. She had just given me so much of her threads and yarns and booklets before she passed and of course I inherited my mothers as well. I really need to do something like this to have a place to put it all. Thanks for such amazing inspiration. ❤️❤️❤️👍🏻👍🏻⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Hi Jennifer, thank you so much for such a lovely comment. I wanted to be able to showcase their things and to write reminders in of where the items came from so that my children will hopefully look back on one day and know they were such precious items to me. I'm so sorry to hear that you have had losses too. I would love to see what you make if you get the chance, Hugs Jackie
This popped up on my You Tube and was delighted to watch you go through your Mother and Mother in laws vintage sewing ephemera and memories. Absolutely stunning job you did with your fabric pages and pockets. Beautifully and artistically done.
I’m so very sorry you have lost your mom. It was very hard to go though her things I’m sure, but you have done a wonderful job of putting it all together. God Bless
This is a really beautiful journal and a wonderful memorial to your mum and mother-in-law. So inspirational. Thank you for sharing. Kind regards, Diane.
Hi Diane thank you for your lovely comments, sorry for my late reply, we recently moved house at the end of last year and it's been so busy TFW Jackie x
Your journal is so filled with wonderful, precious memories! I cannot find words to tell you how moved I am that you put such care into this work of art! I will be watching this video over and over, because I plan in this month of January 2020 to make a similar journal to include sewing paraphernalia I’ve collected over many years. Since I’ve never made a journal, I’m afraid I’ve set a very high goal.
Fantastic! Beautiful, great job,and I agree with immistyblue what a GREAT way of keeping and enjoying your mom and mother in law's sewing things. Thanks for sharing
Love this journal!!! Just subscribed! Gotta love The Works! One of my favourite shops! Soooo cheap! Fabulous for building up stash on a budget! Also love The Range, Wilko's and eBay! And charity shops and car boots of course! Think I'll make a similar book but more an album than journal from the bedding I have from my lil boy Oliver Leslie who died. I could add photos of him and my daughter Amy Elizabeth so she has a memory book of her and her brother! You put so much work into this. Some people don't put the work you did per page into an entire journal! You deserve more subscribers! 😘😘😘 PS when your washing machine beeped I yelled out to my husband "can you put that washing in the dryer for me" lol ours wasn't even rinsing yet! 😂😂😂
HI Tami, I wanted to use that paper pack from The Works as my mum had bought that for me. I'm glad you liked it and your comments are lovely. I'm sorry to hear about your little boy Oliver Leslie. I know how hard it is to lose a child and I think it will be a lovely keepsake for Amy Elizabeth to look back on in the years to come. I would love to see it if you do make one. If it's not the washing machine it will probably be the phone lol TFW Hugs Jackie x
Tami Elizabeth Allaway I pray you were able to complete the journal you planned for your daughter. I lost a sister when I was young. My Mother saved some of her things for me. I’m now 75 years old and still hope to make a journal of memories I have of her with photos and a few items from her that Mom saved.
So sorry for the loss of your mom, I lost mine in 1999 and still miss her much. What a beautiful way to keep her memory alive and close to your heart. I would like to see how you make the frame of your journals...thanks for sharing, it's lovely.
Thank you for your lovely comments, losing your mum is such a hard thing to go through and so sorry for your loss too. I followed Jeanettes tutorial who is Scrappinhappyxo ua-cam.com/video/YuPLkzAZFt8/v-deo.html&. t=437s I hope this helps TFW Jackie x
