- At the end of last year we opened a Korean Street Toast Pop-up in London, and had the pleasure of inviting some top British UA-camrs to come try it out! We wanted to share the extended version of Sorted Food, legendary British food UA-camrs, trying our Toast!

It's true though. You never know everything. At one point, I knew more about coffee than my friend who went to culinary school just because I loved coffee. He started to get more into it some time later though so he likely knows more at this point.

I find that is the same with all chefs. When I was in culinary school (about a lifetime ago) I realized that when the chefs were done on the clock - they were super excitable and kooky while off the clock. I knew at that moment that I’d finally chosen my perfect career.
I was a serial career switcher. Got my CPA in Pennsylvania. Got my LPN in Pennsylvania and New York. Went to school for business management and finally switched to a degree program for Culinary arts, business management and pastry arts with a diploma in Pastry techniques. And it only took me 12 years of switching my mind… and working in the restaurant industry since I was 13 years old. I’d always thought it was a decent and fun job and a bit of a hobby. It was my son that pointed out to me that it seemed like what I liked to do most and maybe I should just add to that experience with an education. So, at 8 years old…he was way smarter than me!!! 😅😂❤😊

The way Ollie and josh looked away when they took a shot of soju, I love that the traditions they’ve adapted from their time in learning and living in korean culture translates outside of Korea

I made a kimcheese toastie, and it's actually amazing. Like all the people they've filmed saying it's good are underplaying it, it's seriously really good. I made one similar to theirs with thick multigrain bread and shredded mozzarella cheese. However, I used that stir-fried kimchi that comes in a sealed foil bag (don't know what it's called but it's widely available.) Amazing.
My ultimate tip: spread some gochujang on the bread as well for a little kick and even more korean flavour.
Love it, how Josh and Ollie spread the Korean culture into the world. I recently have noticed that I have collected a noticeable amount of Korean ingredients so far and implement them happily in my cooking. Also I unintentionally learned some Korean words. Keep up the great work! 👍❤
*Gonna admit that long before I subscribed to this channel, I'm already a subscriber of SORTEDfood.*
So I was like "WHAT?!! FINALLY?? YAASSS!!!" when I knew they gonna come this channel, trying some Korean sandwiches. I want them to try Gabie's amazing sandwich.

토스트 메뉴와 같이 호떡도 사이드로 한번 판매 해보셨으면 좋겠어요ㅎ 오래전에 영국남자 채널에서 호응 좋은 걸 보고 한국에 온 미국인 친구에게 호떡을 한 번 맛보게 해줬더니 너무 맛있다고 수출해야 된다고 하더라구요ㅎㅎ

After watching so many of these Korean street toast videos, I finally gave in and tried to make one myself. The sweet corn was missing from mine though. But I can definitely see why everyone loves them! I will need to get more kimchi to try the kimchi cheese one

A Korean restaurant just opened up five minutes from my work. I really want to go full Josh and order the whole menu! I haven't had anything yet and it is so hard to decide where to begin!
I had Korean bbq with my parents and it was really good but I realised Korean food as a lot of the foods I don’t like. There’s a Korean fried chicken place I’ve been to a few times though that’s good.
from a korean: one stew/soup, whatever meat u want, ideally a naengmyeon or cold noodles to help cleanse ur palate when it feels greasy. this is the basic order my family has always gotten!

I live in a town of 30k people in country Australia. We have three Thai restaurants and a Korean chicken takeaway - none existed 10 years ago. Your toasties look very good, best wishes to you all.
Among the food culture of Korea, special things that distinguish it from the food culture of other countries. //
1. Perfect vegan food represented by Korean Buddhist temple food
2. An endless variety of soup dishes
3. Kimchi: Vegetables fermented with animal protein represented by cabbage kimchi. In the past, only Koreans made and ate it. There are over 800 types of kimchi.
4. Jeotgal: A fermented animal-based sauce made from seafood. In Korea, there are more than 140 different types of salted fish.
5. Ssam: It means wrapping all the ingredients you want to eat in various leafy vegetables represented by lettuce. However, unlike burritos, you have to swallow them in one bite, so you need to adjust the amount of ingredients to be wrapped appropriately.
6. Herbal Medicine Ingredients : Herbal medicine ingredients are not only eaten for special diseases or health, but are also often used for general home cooking. For example, as ingredients for Samgye-tang, Mulberry, Tree Aralia, Eleutherococcus Sessiliflorus, Mongolian Milkvetch, Korean Angelica, Ginger, Jujube and Korean Ginseng are used.
7. Namul : South Korea is the country that eats the most dishes made with only vegetables without meat and seafood protein. Namul are foods made with one edible plant as the main ingredient. Examples of the types of Namul include Shepherd's Purse, Stringy Stonecrop, Korean Angelica-tree, Korean Wild Chive, Butterbur, Bracken, Doellingeria Scabra, Bamboo Shoot, Chamnamul and Cirsium Setidens.
