I live in Tennessee and we’ve owned and operated gun shop for years , a customer we had had moved down here from New York, every year around the holidays they’d go back to visit and they’d always bring us back cannolis from New York . Friends , if you’ve never had them you don’t know what your missin’. DELISH ! I have got to try this .
Being Siciliano as I, the things missing is pastachio nuts and maraschino cherries. Oh and you put a lil cherry juice in frosting to color… just a thought. Love ya❤️
I agree, some nut has to be on the cake. I have pistachio nuts shelled already for this along with the maraschino cherries.

I plan on making this for Christmas and planned on using pistachios (I love them on cannolis) and was thinking what could I use red to make it look festive. Cherries would be perfect!! Thanks for that idea. ❤This looks so good.
There is nothing missing from this cake recipe. You folks can make your cake anyway you want. So please just make your cakes the way you want. Not everyone that watches this channel is Italian!!

Catherine, I wanted to praise and thank you at the same time. I made this cake for Christmas and the praises that I have received was amazing. They were saying it tasted better than some of the Italian bakers that they go to. The changing of the milk and butter def. put it over the top. I will be making this cake over and over again. I just love you and family. I love and enjoy making so many of your recipes. 😍

Catherine, the next time you make a cake from a mix, add a package of instant pudding as well as the other changes you’ve done already. It makes a world of difference. I had a baking business for years and that’s what I always did and I swear it takes just like a bakery made it.

I’ve never had a cannoli but I heard that they are good. this cake will be interesting to me.
I would suggest breaking up a few waffle ice cream cones and top the cake so you get a crunch to mimic the cannoli shells.

A local bakery makes the best Cannoli ever! LOL Started back in the 1920's, the family still are the owners today. When I saw this, I realized I can't get to the bakery as often, this is now my solution. Of course I will add on the pistachios after I serve it. Maybe top the serving with a maraschino cherry as well. I cannot wait to make this!

As a person that has made cannolis before it is a long and tedious job delightful at the end but the process takes quite a while. I had an Italian friend show me how to do it and gave me the forms to be able to make it I made them a total of six times in my life but your recipe is so much better definitely going to try this thanks Catherine merry Christmas to you and your family God bless👍👍🎄

I always add chopped pistachios to my cannolis. Next time try adding some to the cheese mixture and a few to the top with the chips. Looks great.

I love how the butter & milk leaves you with a moist tender fluffy crumb. I always add extra egg & mix by hand, leaving a few small lumps. I will definitely try this recipe 😁. God bless and thank you for sharing

I always doctor up my cake mix too. I also use melted butter instead of oil and I usually add sour cream. I've been baking for people for many years and few of them know I use a cake mix. 😉 But I'm always adding something extra to make it richer, just like you. 😁
