Like many people math wasn’t for me in high school and I just couldn’t or wouldn’t pay attention. I watched this whole video and thoroughly enjoyed it. This guy should teach teachers how to teach
I’d like having a professor that explain theories as well as you do! I can understand most of the things I’ve done in my years of school from your 10 minutes videos
Can you have loops with dots that can have more than 10 lines? If you have a pattern with members of the same number of lines for the constituting couple of dots, how can you discriminate between them? What can you use a loop to describe, apart from concrete lines? Could it be a sentence pattern?
Hey Eddie. Congrats and thank you for everything. I'm also a math teacher and I love to watch your "warm-ups". Saw you're using a tablet for teaching, and I'm want to add this tool to my classes for a long. Is that really worth? (I'm out US and the Ipad Pro is really expensive here)
Despite the teacher's enthusiasm this brings back all to vividly the tedium that is maths for those of us who have no natural aptitude for it but can see all too clearly that it's never going to be of any use to us
It must be nice to never have any problems that need solving. And it amazes me how kids can apparently tell at 13, 14, 15 what is and isn't going to be useful in the next 50-60 years; they must have incredible powers of prediction or be utterly naive.
João Pedro Müller Lima Well, there is another solution to that one:start by making a 3x3 box around the whole thing, and a 1x1 box around where the 0 used to be. In the top left corner, instead of having the left line and the top line colored in, color in the bottom one and the right one. Although two corners touch each other, it’s still a loop.
No it wouldn't my loop would literally just consist of that one square the rest of the areas would be 1 or 0's(but ofc that info is not needed to be given, since he did ask about the minimum amount of numbers needed to be put in, and in this case it would just be that one 4) depending on where I put the 4
I think it's something like year 11 or 12 what means they have to be around 17 or 18 years old Edit: the stuff they make looks also like year 11 or 12 stuff
@@MrMuzza1006 we do have middle school, especially in private schools, we have junior school (Grade 1-4), middle school (Grade 5-8) and senior school (Grade 9-12)... so yeah....

Sure...

If Eddie reads this I have a question... Do you ever watch other math channels, e.g Zach Star, numberphile, 3Blue1Brown, Flammable maths...etc.?
Well I guess yes he might does
Eddie has left the chat...
These videos make me miss school, i like these videos cuz i need maths for programming but damn i wish i tried harder in school.
knot theory but for the not-knot
Love from #INDIA.
So this is basically minesweeper? Well at least similar
I would say a cross between minesweeper and sudoku
The thumbnail could be a meme

Is that miss M. Lees from Blacktown Boys at 8:25?
I know she left BBHS over 3 years ago but still... It's been a long time since I saw a familiar face
*Loop!* (There it is)

I am also a math teacher :)
The "Zero" should represent the #beginning and #ending of the loop.
Loops are Unik :)

Ok, I'm pretty sure you could remove that 0 in the middle and it would still be valid:
? 3 2
3 ? ?
? 2 2
That's actually pretty cool

For making their own loops, I mean just put a 4 in any of the squares, and it would be done :D
nope that would be crossing them and that is not alowed by the rules

Smart!
Other than creating a new Sunday paper game like Sudoku, what's the point of this?
What use of it?

Mr Woo how is your son. I will be praying for him, God is able to do exceedingly and abundantly above we are able.
nice
Just thinking you can solve it with just 1 clue, a 4 in the center and nothing anywhere else. But that might be too easy lol
Cover full board
Is this programming?
Loops are not necessarily circular in shape.
Minesweeper

What about the loop:

?
(It's a big square)
Or a cross
Sebastian Fryszka no cuz then you’d need to change each 1 with a 3
@@andriesdeklerck4395 oh thanks
Who solved the board before he explained what a loop is without knowing?.. Boring
