I was a fan of Boondocks the comic strip that was made into the animation and Aaron Gruber?(can't remember his last name) pretty much just took his main characters from the strip and fit them to this show. Grandad is Mom, the boys are obviously Red and Meth, the neighbor lady and family are kind of like the mixed couple and all white people like cheese instead of fruitcake. Mind you, I'm not saying anything negative at all; I love Boondocks, both the strip and the animation. Just interesting to see how things went. :)

It has shit ratings because of production and especially terrible editing. Whoever produced the show had absolutely no clue what they were doing, and were trying to go for the same old sitcom bs while Method Man and Red Man were trying to continue what they had going, like for example, How High. Not to mention the shitty laugh track that 100% contributed to this show seeing an early grave. Never even got to complete season 1. They never wanted it to be a sit com. Thats what they got unfortunately.
