Grandad is Mom, the boys are obviously Red and Meth, the neighbor lady and family are kind of like the mixed couple and all white people like cheese instead of fruitcake. Mind you, I'm not saying anything negative at all; I love Boondocks, both the strip and the animation. Just interesting to see how things went. :)

Nah, it had less to do with anything politics related and more to do with the actual production and editing which gave it shitty ratings. It has shit ratings because of production and especially terrible editing. Whoever produced the show had absolutely no clue what they were doing, and were trying to go for the same old sitcom bs while Method Man and Red Man were trying to continue what they had going, like for example, How High. Not to mention the shitty laugh track that 100% contributed to this show seeing an early grave. Never even got to complete season 1. They never wanted it to be a sit com. Thats what they got unfortunately.
The way the show supposed to develop was without the laughing tracks. Fox then produces modern family without laughing tracks and with using those long shots after something witty or funny is said.
