I learned a lot about art boards with this video. You comprehensively explained the details and features of the art board option. Thank you and keep up the great work.
Thanks for the tutorial!
This is a game changer! I edit multiple stories on photoshop and this will let me see all of it at once! Thanks 🙏🏽
Yup. Artboards are the perfect solution. Glad you found this helpful.
Awesome! Very Helpful. Thanks for sharing this informative video.
Just so easy to follow you...not fast, simple showing where tools are, which I wish more would use, esp that pointer, as not all of us can see those tiny little icons! ANd with so many tools, nice to get them solidly pointed to, changes you can make with them, etc...whew! LOL) and that really helps!!! AND you gave the selection for non-apple users too...thank goodness! I also appreciate you pointing out simply how to do the steps and WHY you do them....! It made my work easier, and less terrifying to do art-boards. You did not assume someone knows the steps and how to manage the tools...:) Thanks so much for sharing your talent and teaching skills...well done, as always!!!!:)
Thank you for taking the time to let me know exactly what you appreciate in the tutorial. It's very helpful for me when recording future vides. I appreciate it.
Wonderfully explained. Thank you so much!
This was heaven sent to me. Coming from corel draw (with default ArtBoard) to Photoshop (without default ArtBoard) was already frustrating to work on. But this is a game changer for me
Yay! Thank you for sharing your experience.
This is such a great explanation!
This is so useful. Gonna use it for my social
Media kits that I offer with cover art so I don’t have to make similar designs in separate docs. This will be a time saver for sure
Fantastic. That is the perfect reason to use artboards.
Clear explanation. Thanks for this!

2:03 - "it has no impact on the export of the image", I can't understand what it means. Thank you for your tutorials.

I made a series of 8 artboards but it currently looks like one massive artboard. However I know it is made up of 8 separate panels 5X5. My peers Had gotten the lines that separate the panels relatively easily however I cant figure it out... i hope this makes some sense to anyone.
Is it possible that your artboard backgrounds are the same color as the canvas? Do you see the artboards in the layers panel?
Hello, is there a way to increase the Size of an Artboard from the middle or any other corner? Like when you transform everything in Photoshop you have the option to move the pivot. I wonder if this is possible? I'm trying to increas the Size of some artboards but keep the same distance below and above. So the Size will increas but from the middle ...Thanks in advance!
That would be awesome, but I don't see any way to make that work.
Solid.
thanks
I can feel you bro
still helpful in 2021
Hi, is there a way to have an instance of an Artboard in a smaller size, just to skip the step of duplicating and resizing what was done on the first bigger Artboard?
You can start with as many artboards as you want when you create a new document, but they will all be the same size to start.
Hi, may I ask? I'm on a transparent background like yours with a white background on the artboard. Can't seem to save it as png without the white background even though I'm on transparent background on the properties. Do you have a solution for this?
Sounds like the image or graphic you have placed on the artboard has a white background. If it does, you need to remove it before exporting.
would be great if you could have transparent backgrounds unfortunatly this isnt working and yes i have set it to transparent
Transparency works for me. If you need to retain the transparency with the export, make sure to choose the png file format.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
you saved me today
Yay!
Hi Theresa,
I'm placing an image on the corner of my Artboard but it's overlapping onto the artboard next to it.. how do I make sure the image does not pass on to the following Artboard?
Thank you in advance
Hi Lale. Look at your layers panel. The image needs to be in the artboard group. It’s probably outside of it. You can drag it into the artboard in the layers panel.
@@TheresaJackson Thanks Theresa :)
Thank you so much for this video! You helped me a lot 👏, but can I give a feedback? You forgot to explain what "Include Overlapping Areas" means, when exporting an artboard. You can find this option in "File > Export > Artboard To Files > Include Overlapping Areas". Can you try to make a video explaining that? 🙂🙂
And by the way, the other option "Export Artboards to PDF" is the one that people use to export ebooks, when they are small (like 15 pages) and they were made on Photoshop.
Great suggestion!
@@TheresaJackson thanks 😊
how to add text (numbers) automatically on each artboard
i dont know
How to make back ground transparent
Select the artboard. Open the properties panel. Choose transparent from the Artboard background color dropdown.
Does art boards increase lag? I have 8ram and an i5, lasso tool seems to lag like hell.
Not that I know of. You might want to reset your preferences.
@@TheresaJackson I reverted from cc2020, to 2019, to 18, to 16 then i tried 14. no lag now lol. I need a proper computer lol with atleast 16ram man.
I dont get the plus signs when I scroll over. All artboards keep being added to the right only.
Are you scrolling over with the Artboard tool? Maybe you have the Move tool active instead of the Artboard tool.
Theresa Jackson It was a matter of checking a little box near the top left, I forgot the name. Thanks
Thanks Theresa - Great video - short - to the point - saved my ass :)
I'm happy it helped! Thanks for leaving a comment.
Can't believe I've been using Photoshop for so long without knowing this basic thing lol
Mee to😅🙌🥺😭
Me too!
i love u
I FKN hate artboards. how can take my layers OUT of the artboard? I work psd layers on after effects and the art department has sent me the psd file with artboards and it's giving me a HEADACHE, it's messing up the sales and all. PLEASE, how can I remove them?
you can simply drag layers out of the artboard using the layer panel.
I'm really struggling with watch time, but I'm not giving up! 🙏💙💙
thanks
