This is exactly what i was looking for past almost six months.Absolutely 'to the point video'.Thanks man! Make a video on 'curves and processing an image. Thanks and may god bless you.
THANK YOU! I've watched literally dozens of tutorials about the selective color adjustment layer, trying very hard to learn how it works and how I can make it work for me. Your explanation was the first and only one that gave me a clear understanding and now I finally can use this function in Ps.you know how to teach.
Hey its me back again! and thak you so much, i didnt even know this existed ( also are these photoshop 2021 features in photoshop 2020? ) Edit: can you maybe (just if you like)make a video about how to change it if it does not change automaticaly
Thanks for the comment! YES! these features are available in photoshop 2020 if that's the version you currently have installed! I can definitely think about adding that idea to my 'to do' list 👍🏽
Hello! I was hoping you could help me understand how I could use this method to change the sweater color to red. The closest I have come to red is a purple sweater. Please and thank you!
Just my opinion, selective color is not perfect tool to color grading because we cannot control the semi-transparent color. For example in this video, you wanted to change green to blue. But the result was still visible green color left in her face. Selective color may be useful to change quite distinguished colors with sharp edges but not good enough for high end retouching (at least in this video situation). Or maybe you know a additional way to control also the semi-transparent color to get fully control. If so I wish to know. Thank you for video anyway.
I aam pretty confused. How about you start by showing us yu opening a document, and then adding whatever adjustment layer(s) you want to use? It seems to me that you started in the middle.
All shadows are black, unless you hopped in a time machine and into some sort of weird 1970s nightclub with interesting disco lights or some shit like that. I will never be changing the color of the shadows.
Brilliant. Very well explained. I reckon the best explanation on Selective Colour on UA-cam.
