Thank you so much for making this video- And for making the mystery of artboards not so intimidating! I've been using photoshop for years and was always nervous to use artboards because I didn't 'get' them. Your video demystified them in moments! Thank you!
Wonderful! Crisp, precise information and elucidated perfectly. Thank you!
Using Photoshop for at least 1 decade but I never had to use Artboards, really have to start using them for some specific projects and now I can. Your vid was clear and very helpful with the info I needed!

Thank you for this! The only thing I'd add is that when saving, change the extension from .PSD to .psdt. That way when you want to start creating from template, when opened it will open a new untitled version.
Thank you so much. Please keep posting useful videos like this one.
So glad it helped you and I have no plans to stop making tutorials!
Omg thank you soooooo much for this. I'm a subscriber now.

Awesome video for creating this template. Quick tip... have you every saved the template as a .psdt file? Very helpful since now photoshop actually knows it is a template and no matter how many times you open it up it actually creates a brand new document.
Thanks for sharing 👍
THANK YOU VERY MUCH
You are welcome! 👍
Great video! Is there a way to have artboards open with preset layers and backgrounds already in the file? Eg. When i am sketching i have a few layers ready to go but i have to create layers everytime i add a new artboard. Its extremely frustrating!
I have not tried your exact workflow setup, but would recommend testing it out using some trial and error. Hopefully you find a solution that works for you. 👍🍀
Cheers!! And to move the artboards, click on their title above the artboard with the artboard tool is selected.
Thanks! 👍
One questions! How to save only one artboard? Anyway thanks for the helpful videos :D
thank you
You are welcome! 👍
Instead of echoing the praise on your concise presentation, and because UA-cam doesn't have gif commenting:
Imagine a distraught, bearded Stephen Strange having just been shown the universe by the Ancient One. Humbled, he looks up to her and rasps, "Teach me!"
I've been working with Adobe projects for 30 years, and being able to get in and out of a tutorial with what I need is crucial. Color me subscribed!
So funny!! Thanks for subscribing and best of luck on your book/channel! 👍
Mike do you have an easy way to teach creating multi-page PDF files in PSD CC2021? Thanks! Nice tutorials!
I’m not sure😀. What are you creating or wanting to do? For multi-page PDFs, I would generally work in Adobe InDesign, but if you provide more details I may have a better understanding Of what you are doing👍
Thanks for the video!! Is it safe to save the file with artboards as .TIFF instead of .PSD? I'm afraid I won't be able open it if I use an older version of photoshop... Thanks again!
You can open .psd files in any version of PS 👍
Hi, is there a way to have an instance of an Artboard in a smaller size, just to skip the step of duplicating and resizing what was done on the first bigger Artboard?
I'm not fully understanding what you are wanting to do. Can you please clarify what your ultimate goal is? Thx!
How do you create artboards from existing designs?
You can right-click in the Layers Panel and select 'ArtBoards from Layers or Groups' or go to the top menu and click on Layer...New....Artboard from Layers. 🍀
How do you have a transparent artboard? My artboard is always white despite i set the artboard as transparent
File...New Document...Background Contents = Transparent. Be sure in your Layers Panel you wo not have any solid background layers.
@@MikeMurphyCo yep but that's the problem. It's still white it seems to be a bug a lot people have and there is no solution
@@DoAnear Uninstalling Photoshop and reinstalling should fix it. You can also try resetting Photoshop preferences. 🍀
After using PS for 3 years intensively I’ve finally discovered artboards 🙄
I hear ya. I don’t use them much, but probably should. 👍
