Glad it was just an o ring. I’d hate to dig those lines out of there and a dealer call is at least another day delay. You keep it up brother. Thank you for sharing so much with us.
Replaced one of those lines last year. Sits on top of a corner on the frame just inside the rear end. Of course it couldn’t have been 1/4” longer to mitigate the stress. Replacing it isn’t as bad as you think. Unless it’s around 0 with 60k wind. 😂
You have a great attitude . Tomorrow is a new day . You may need to get some large size crowfoot wrench’s for to service trailer . They come in handy in tight spaces . All the best in the seeding season
If the nut had split I'm sure you would've noticed it, most likely a pinched O ring during manufacture? Nice to hear you much happier once you'd found the fault & had a plan in place to fix it.😃
Mike, I have a comment, you say that it's common for Case equipment to blow orings. Andy at FFF antd Nathan at Border View Farms run all JD and are constantly replacing orings. I'm sure that you have had your share of replacing them on your own JDs too.
You should grab a couple Knipex pliers wrenches for each tractor. They are adjustable wrenches that clamp down hard and don't round anything off. Very handy to have around, especially if you don't know what size something is. There are several different sizes available.
Knipex are the best by far there's a lot of tool manufacturers that are trying to copy knipix but there no close I've used knipix for 30yrs or more. Great video Mike. Stay safe.
We literally had the same type of problem with a hose on a planting unit and hour ago, right as the rain was coming at us. O rings and bad flanges😢.... Be safe
Too bad it leaked in the crappy weather on ya. Flat face o ring kits are a must, though, to have on hand. The green ones blow them too. Ask me how I know😅😅😅😅 good luck with the rest of seeding!
Only problem with a service trailer is u can’t pull it through mud to get somewhere thats why most dealers run service trucks but regardless i think its perfect for mikes needs also
Years ago I had a business developing maintenance tools for the mining and railway industries. The tools were based on 10,000 PSI hydraulic cylinders. A 20 cent O-ring can be a headache. I think the biggest O-ring catastrophe was the Challenger when they launched a too cold rocket and the O-rings had shrunk.
Thought something was wrong with the drawbar or something looking at the thumbnail, that's crazy cold mike, dang near 90 down here in western Maryland today in the United States
Let me guess… you own a 1255 Case planter as well. I felt this the other day while hooking onto ours… “hmm I wonder what O ring will blow this spring…”😂
Brake cleaner is amazing stuff it will knock bees wasps and hornets right out of the air I have been told it freezes their wings and just like an airplane that has ice buildup on the wings it won’t stay in the air and the cleaner is the best thing I have found for getting hydraulic fluid off the windows when you blow a line even when it is below zero Fahrenheit and the fluid turns into a semi solid mess almost like grease when it comes out of the grease gun
Hey Mike, you ever think about selling your grain in America? The dollar is worth more than the Canadian dollar.. if it isn’t to far, maybe in Montana.
Perhaps you could buy some 'Travel first aid kits' & add an 'O ring kit' & target the farming community to buy your "Farmers Essential Tractor Kit", I'm sure they'll sell like hot cakes 🎂.
@@leddielivethey actually have those, plus they have Make Your Own oring kits with a roll of oring material and cement to glue the ends together after cutting to length lol
Very funny! 50 cents Oring + to site transport = 50 dollars Hyd oil = 50 dollars 2 farm hands repairing + transport = 400 dollars 2 days of planting lost = more than 1000 dollars So a 400.000 dollar machine stops because a half dollar part is destroyed! Does that sound right? Is that consistent HIGH Reliability equipment?
Mike sold his in an effort to reduce costs, the Fendt 670 2 track went as well as the Fendt 724. Man you've missed so much you need to go back a few videos & find out what new ponies Mike has in his stable now.😀
Things can always be worse, you could've been orbiting Mars & suffered a similar hydraulic failure? When you look at it like that farmings not that bad at all! 😂
Sounds like way to much electronic shit just like cars trucks you have to be a computer nerd to fix it.was so much easier in my farming days no electronics but then we only had 2 12 footers hooked together behind a bearcat 2 steiger
Good to find the problem. The shop trailer is already proven its worth. Thanks for sharing the evening with us Mike...yes, the sunset was special.
Oh I love this little trailer! And thanks
I guess an O-ring kit is next to add to the inventory 😂
Despite a blown O-ring I wish you guys a successful season seeding. Take care. 🇬🇧👍🏻🇨🇦
Mike magnifique réparation de la fuite huile et la caravane et bien intéressante et équipés 😂😮😅😊

Bummer, all the best to the entire family and crew for the growing season, hope things are running smooth by now.
Better luck tomorrow Mike. God Bless you and the family.
Thanks Mike, also liked seeing the Bible texts on the whiteboard.

Note to Mike put on the white board get Keurig for shop trailer. Thanks for the video. 👌

Dang, .50 cent part shuts down part of the operation unfortunately it happens… glad ya found it, you’re going to have a great harvest 👍🏻

Very good Mike Mitchell the shop evening Mike
At least we are not alone in the ruf starts this season
Seems like everyone I know has had a rough spring this year. Including us.
Let’s get the Fendt back :)
Too bad it leaked in the crappy weather on ya. Flat face o ring kits are a must, though, to have on hand. The green ones blow them too. Ask me how I know😅😅😅😅 good luck with the rest of seeding!
Thanks for an entertaining video.
Love the videos keep safe in the fields
Rough start here as well, hydraulic lines and fittings shaking loose all over
U need that flat face oring kit in your trailer its a must i use mine all the time when i have fittings loosen off
That trailer is slick. More room and cheaper than a service truck
Only problem with a service trailer is u can’t pull it through mud to get somewhere thats why most dealers run service trucks but regardless i think its perfect for mikes needs also
Great video Mike

Good ol case. Doesn’t matter what it is, if it’s red it will blow o rings
Thought something was wrong with the drawbar or something looking at the thumbnail, that's crazy cold mike, dang near 90 down here in western Maryland today in the United States
So one of those draws in that trailer should be full of O rings now :)
Amazing a $2.00 or less O Ring can totally stop a Very Expensive Tractor.....it is sometimes the little things in life...
Maybe keep a bunch of O-rings handy in the trailer if you're always blowing them :)
Just bought a side by side with full cab. First thing that happened. Wind took the drivers door. Lol
Classic! 🤦🏻♂️😆
I've bought every size sae and metric crows foot wrenches for those tight to get at hydraulic fittings.
Case New Holland and their oil leaks, some things never change. At least their equipment don't rust as bad.....😀
Amazing technology!
that's what is so nice. As long as you have a breath in you, there's always tomorrow.
case planters like to blow o rings as well...at least ours does lol
Let me guess… you own a 1255 Case planter as well. I felt this the other day while hooking onto ours… “hmm I wonder what O ring will blow this spring…”😂
nice
Bet the color of that tractor changes next year. 😅

I have rough start every year 😂

Call em case fellas
Bummer. Just lucky hydro oil is only ,50 cents a quarter. 😂 bad day before good days I guess.
Does the freeze hurt the seed after you planted?
Looks like warranty. New tractor.
:) hello Mike
Pretty frustrating that newer equipment still has weak spots. Probably won’t have anymore issues now.
Blew that exact same o ring on exact same tractor today, have changed 4 o rings all over tractor now and lost lots of oil 45 engine hrs
Really?! That's crazy
O rings should be a standard item carried by all farmers in every vehicle and self propelled equipment 😅
Perhaps you could buy some 'Travel first aid kits' & add an 'O ring kit' & target the farming community to buy your "Farmers Essential Tractor Kit", I'm sure they'll sell like hot cakes 🎂.

That's 3 faults on a brand new tractor but with the 3rd fault now fixed it should be fine now if things happen in 3sss as they say
Someone in Fargo was in a hurry
What do you think about new best john deere tractor?
👍
How about an inspection mirror with extendable handle?
Very funny!

Sh!t happens. 😂
How many acres do you farm? South and North
morning
Just say it, Case…. Can you expect more?? Some never learn….😂
This new equipment goes up in price every year yet it gets less reliable every year, can anyone explain that to me?
It was just an O-ring that split, probably got ripped in the factory not a big deal.
Crandon is correct, however I could go on about new equipment causing far more grief far longer than you would care to be entertained about.
Not new I thought had few hours on it but yeah damaged when installing possibly
Oi 👍👍👍👍👍👍
That didn't just blow, it was assembled wrong (pinched)
Mike it looks like you could use some help
👋🏼😎
Well i was thinking of trying a case tractor next time around instead of a Deere again but starting to really reconsider after this video 😬😬
Mike, not sure if you cleared it up in previous video. But what happened to all your 9RXs from last year?
Mike sold his in an effort to reduce costs, the Fendt 670 2 track went as well as the Fendt 724. Man you've missed so much you need to go back a few videos & find out what new ponies Mike has in his stable now.😀
@@leddielive too many machines for me to keep up with😄
the 16 is my the birthday😉
Well then, Congratulations for squeezing your way out of your mother & surviving this long, many happy returns. 😊
If it's red leave it in the shed
You don't carry o-rings in your portable shop??
Fitting looked a little cross threaded to me or a bad o ring
A design flaw sounds like it
I blew a o-ring on Friday Bruh
I am struggling to comprehend why anyone swaps from a Fendt 1167 to a CNH,they're very poorly built.
if its red you leave it in the shed
You refer to your brother Brian as your younger brother Brian......do you also have an older brother Brian?
No, younger bro is Brian and older bro is Terry
Unbelievable that nearly a million dollars worth of equipment can be idled by the failure of what is probably a 50 cents part.
Things happen. That will never change no matter how much engineering or quality control takes place
Things can always be worse, you could've been orbiting Mars & suffered a similar hydraulic failure? When you look at it like that farmings not that bad at all! 😂
20 hours is actually really good for red junk before it renews it's oils on its own.
This season will be awesome to see the red drama.
