It's not history. It's wild speculation without evidence in the historical record. The whole lost ancient technology community is full of scam artists and liars who's whole premie relies on getting people to distrust the experts who study ancient cultures their whole lives. Pat has even bought in to calling them "gate keepers". If you look into the ancient technology claims they don't hold up. We can actually demonstrate practically how copper and abrasive rock slurry was used to cut stone. I have faith that you all are smart enough to look at proper evidence on these kinds of topics and not just trust some fancy edited UA-cam video or charismatic speaker. Hard evidence is the only reliable kind in this instance. We even have ancient writings in which the Egyptians detail exactly how they made their monuments tombs and statues.
I am stationed in Türkiye and recently did a 3,000km solo road trip around the country, including Ephesus, Temple of Artemis, Cappadocia, Laodicea, Smyrna, Pamukkale, Tarsus, and Göbekli Tepe! Pretty fascinating to see all those ancient ruins in person.

Pat, it's not that anyone is a 'gatekeeper'. There are people who are passionate about their field of study, but at the end of the day, if they're a true scientist, they'll be delighted to have their theory proven wrong. Science is all about adjusting the theory based on the evidence, if you're not open-minded about new evidence, you're not a scientist. It's certainly not unheard of for a scientist to defend their theory, but only against those who don't know any better, not against contradictory evidence.

Experime t anybody can do to debunk that theory: stand up in a bus doing 55mph and jump. Because you and the bus are traveling at the same rate and you jump up your position within the bus does not change the earth's winds are relatively the same. Both have the same direction mostly but the air has momentum after traveling in the same direction for extended periods.
