Love the way you have got the tight edge on that maple. That is going to look stunning when clear-coated. You have used my favourite colour. The purple quilt is going to be quite orgasmic!! Great job Todd. As always looking forward. Peace and love my friend.
Thank you Cliff. I have wanted to do a purple guitar for awhile and I feel like this was a good choice for that color. Stay tuned my friend. The end is near!!✌️🤍
Thank you Gabi. I'm really glad you like it. I was going for slightly funky but not over the top shape. I really like the flow the bevels create. Like a wave! I really appreciate the comment!! Good luck with the GGBO!!✌️🤍
Thank you. I'm really happy I'm able to keep them natural. The chrome was a little hokey and I didn't want that. This is more like what I intended from the beginning!!✌️🤍
Thanks brother Dave. It was my original plan to use natural bevels and I really prefer that look. I like the chrome too but not for this guitar!! I'm glad you like it brother! Peace & Love
It is looking very nice Todd. I think it's a good choice on your part to leave the sliver off of the guitar. It makes it look a bit more classy I think. I am Pretty sure you will make the deadline Keep up the good work. Thanks for sharing this build.
Thanks brother. I am spraying clear today or tomorrow so it's coming together. I'm so anxious to get this done!! We shall see what she sounds like soon!! I agree on the natural bevels. I really only did that last time as a fix, I think it'll look way more elegant without it. Peace & Love
Hi and thank you so much! It does seem to be the case that if you strive for perfection, rewards do come. I can't say it's anywhere near perfect but it's what I wanted in the beginning. That is a reward in itself!! I appreciate the comment! Peace & Love
I do too. I'm glad it's going to be like my original vision for this build. It'll be done soon and I can't wait to play this one! Thank you brother!!✌️🤍
Thanks brother. It took me awhile but I feel like I have found my stride. I love building guitars and I just try and be helpful, insightful and honest. My goal has become to bring other people into the community and continue to try and do the builds I like, original or otherwise. I really appreciate the time for the view and the comment. I love your work too my friend!!✌️🤍
I'm spraying clear today. It should be on video by Monday!! I am really hoping to make the deadline!! I think I can, I think I can😃 Thank you for the comment!!✌️🤍
Building myself as a bass player I've started with basses and recently finished my first my own design! I really like that body! Has an explorer telecaster feel to it! I really love watching other builds that give me new ideas! Awesome job!
Very nice Todd!! That Purple is going to pop like 3D when you get it lightened up and clear coated. What a nice looking guitar, can't wait for the next video. I'm excited and anxious for you, lol. You'll get 'er done on time my friend. This is going to be a spectacular build!
Hey Todd, one could really feel that you had that deadline in mind 😊. The result is great 😃 what were the blackish appearing speckles on the top? It looked like residue marker. Cheers. Always a pleasure to watch your builds. Peace n love!
I chose this top because of those Burl Pins. That is what you are seeing. I thought of it as Imperfectly perfect!! It's a B Grade top that I got as part of a 5 set deal from @Kimball_Hardwoods!! Thank you brother. I think those pins will pop hard once the clear goes on it. We shall see! Peace & Love
Brother, that thing looks unreal with that purple! As I've said before, the attention you pay to the neck heel transition is something I truly admire. All the best, brother!
Man I love this build Todd. I keep hoping there's a secret beer bottle opener under that horn on the back of the guitar for some reason - be very handy for gigging :D
Awesome come back Todd. The subtle changes you have made are really standing out now. This should easily be in the top five builds but we all know how the voting goes for GGBO. What was the sanding stick thing you used to sharpen the edges? I have been using those hard foam double sided emery boards for fingernails to do detail work like that since back in the days of build foamboard RC aircraft. I find dowels and flat sticks to be to stiff at times for that specially for curved edges
Hey Bill and thank you brother. I don't know about top 5!! I don't care about that though, as you know. The sanding stick was part of a 4 pack, various sizes I got on Amazon. They are hard plastic and I really love them. They were only like $15. I also have a slew of emery boards and dowel material but those sticks are hopefully a replacement for most of that!! Anyhoo, Peace & Love brother.
@@SweetTGuitars Cool. I do the same between dowels, the emery boards and the sanding pads you sent me. Lots of shapes to cover so lots of solutions huh. Btw I got the Sidewinders put in my Mockingbird yesterday. Need to work out the wiring as when I split them the inner coils are active not the outer with the screws. hope you have an awesome holiday and you can be with the kids n grandbabies. Stay safe if you have to travel my friend!
I love the quilt! Looking great, and I think I see the answer to my question from the last video. Your radii in those routs looks bigger, like you're using a 12mm or 1/2" bit on your neck. Pickup routs too?
I actually used a 3/8" Bit for the first part of the pickup routs but I switched to a 1/2" bit after the first 1/4" or so. I think the HS configuration will be really cool on this one! Thank you brother!! Peace & Love!
I usually would. I predrilled the holes on the drill press. I just had the drill in my hand already!! I'm do appreciate you reminding me of the "right" way!! Thank you. Peace & Love
Looks great.
It's looking great
Look great Brother!
Excellent guitar

Kicking ass Todd, so impressed with what you have done so quickly. P&L 🖤
Fantastic progress 🎸
Thank you. I'm happy with this one!!✌️🤍
Beautiful job!
Thank you!!✌️🤍
Love the body shape Todd! Well balanced, different but simple, you got beautifully « minded » eyes!😉
Thank you brother. I really appreciate that!!✌️🤍
Rich purple 😍
The white maple strip around makes it alive!
I agree. Better than chrome I think?
Incredible progress! I really like the white contour of the wood! It's going to look so good finished. Peace and love ✌️♥️
Thanks brother. Inspiration is just a lovely thing. I'm so glad I have you guys to share this with. I really am. Thank you for that! Peace & Love
Really digging the colour Todd. Looking fabulous.
Thank you so much! Peace & Love

Thanks so much. I am really happy with this version!! I am glad that you like it to. Peace & Love
Lovin it!
Thank you. I really appreciate your support my friend!!✌️🤍
That Deep Purplereminds of a band...Ceres Theta is a killer! Once you clear coat it, she will pop out of my tvscreen! Looking great, T!
Thanks brother. I really am hopeful that the finish takes her to the next level. I'm glad you like it man. Peace & Love
Hey, Todd. Nice shape. Fresh but not too edgy or funky for my taste. Combines roundness and edges well. I also like the colours.
Thank you Gabi. I'm really glad you like it. I was going for slightly funky but not over the top shape. I really like the flow the bevels create. Like a wave! I really appreciate the comment!! Good luck with the GGBO!!✌️🤍
The bevels look awesome
Thank you. I'm really happy I'm able to keep them natural. The chrome was a little hokey and I didn't want that. This is more like what I intended from the beginning!!✌️🤍
Daaaaannng it's looking GREAT!
Great work Todd!! I 100% agree that the maple contrast is all you need, it looks killer!
Thanks brother Dave. It was my original plan to use natural bevels and I really prefer that look. I like the chrome too but not for this guitar!! I'm glad you like it brother! Peace & Love
Damn Todd! I couldn’t agree more with your assessment of the elegance of the white maple on the curves… I’m loving the way it’s coming together!
Thank you brother. I'm really happy with this one and I'm so glad you like it too!! Peace & Love

Beautiful, I like the natural more than the chrome.
I do too. I'm glad it's going to be like my original vision for this build. It'll be done soon and I can't wait to play this one! Thank you brother!!✌️🤍

I'm spraying clear today. It should be on video by Monday!! I am really hoping to make the deadline!! I think I can, I think I can😃 Thank you for the comment!!✌️🤍
Great colour Todd, and treating it with some steelwool will even let the the front speak out more. Love it! ✌
Thanks brother. I hit it with wool last night and it made the quilt way more pronounced. I'm glad you like it man. Clear goes on today!! ✌️🤍

Thank you. I get ideas from other builders as well. This community is great for that!! ✌️&💙
Nice work Tod. Pulling some colour out will definitely make that top pop. Great work, my friend. 👍🎸🎸🎸
Thank you brother. I am going to do that today! We are going to all see what happens shorlty. I'm so glad you like it my friend. Peace & Love
It's looking incredible brother! Really loving that top and finish so far!

That's looking good, Todd. And you've got this. It's close to the deadline, but you only have a little more to do.
I'm close man. I think I'll make it. Late nights and steady work will get me there!! I love your build this year brother. Excellent work!!✌️🤍

I usually would. I predrilled the holes on the drill press. I just had the drill in my hand already!! I'm do appreciate you reminding me of the "right" way!! Thank you. Peace & Love
I was just wondering since you were so careful to countersink the pots. You put SO much care into the detail work on your guitars. A joy to watch!
