    A few things...
    1) Apologies for the inconsistent audio! 🤪
    2) The renovation cost about $3,200 worth of materials.
    3) The vanity was purchased through Costco for $800
    4) The tub reglazing has held up wonderfully
Thanks for all the feedback everyone!

@Brian Fisherman what won't last, specifically? He removed, replaced, and reinforced the subflooring, added ceramic tile, replaced old or broken valves, replaced faucet trims, replaced the vanity with a granite top replacement, and painted and trimmed off everything. He hired a plumber and a reglazing company. Not seeing where that will all break in a short time.

Just make extra hours on where you are good at and look for reasonable rates in the market. Ask people who had it so you know if they did a good job before hiring them.
Less stress! The most important thing!

Certain projects seem easy... Anything involving plumbing should probably be done by a professional. I work with low voltage so I think I would find electrical work pretty easy and if you have the breaker off, you'll reduce your chances of getting shocked. Plumbing seems too risky for a regular person

Not bad! A few tips from a professional tile & bath contractor:
    1) Backerboard should ALWAYS be put down with thinset everywhere underneath. Thinset is necessary for proper support. Also, if there's low spots, it should be corrected with self leveler. Not floated with thinset. I personally use an uncoupling membrane such as DITRA for my tile underlayment. Faster, easier, & better performance than backerboard. And on a floor that small, the extra cost is just a few dollars.
    2) Although the tub walls will likely not see much water, you probably would have used some kind of waterproofing over the sheetrock such as KERDI. Or even used 1/2" backerboard with a liquid waterproofing membrane.
    3) I saw that your dad was actually back buttering all the tiles. Excellent! Lots of folks (even some "pros") skip this crucial step. Proper mortar coverage is insanely important for tile project to actually last.

    • @TrevorSimko
