OK guys, this may end up being a bit lengthy, so I apologize now. I would like you to check out a young lady that has introduced me to quite a few young, new singers that I find very enjoyable. The young lady herself, (from Germany) I have been following for about 8 years (since she was 14) on UA-cam. Her channel is 'sina-drums', and she collaborates now and then with young up and coming artists from around the world. This is how I was introduced to all this great young talent. I'm going to put links to a few of my favorite collaborations, and hopefully, one will pique your interest. Also, Ian Paice, the drummer for Deep Purple, reacted to her doing Deep Purple's song "Burn", and made several comments throughout, and at the end he said, "Who am I kidding, I could have never done that at 17." ua-cam.com/video/pbt1NrUzB5Q/v-deo.html The first song is Barracuda by Heart. Me, too. I can never get tired of that performance. I think it's possibly the best live performance ever. Watching it along with these boys though really brought me down. Boo, BP boys, what a buzz kill!
Good blues is about living the song as it is performed. Beth pours everything she has into each song. She ranks up there with some of the greatest blues singers of all time. My absolute favorite song she performs is Leave The Light On. She wrote it after one of the lowest points in her life. It is a song that doesn't shy away from pain but also leaves you with hope...much like every performance Beth gives.
There's nothing country about this song. It's a bluesy soul song, it's not twangy. Maybe you're looking for another word. The song is just not for you but you appreciate the talent. To me this is one of the most captivating live performances I've heard. I watch/listen to it all the time. Incredible arrangement of this song, Hart kills it and Bonamassa's solo even surpasses her performance if anything. Helps that I love long epic songs.

Ah, you've found yourself a gem. Hart and Bonamassa are both brilliant, and together they are a real treat. Of course something like this takes time... But you get all the shades of the emotions expressed, both vocally and instrumentally, perfectly performed throughout. I don't know if you two have yet come across the greatest female vocalist on the planet but here is a link to one of her songs that will melt you into a puddle. She refuses to sign any recording contracts because she is convinced it will ruin her relationship with God. Sony Music US is just the latest in a string that have tried to get her to sign on the dotted line but she is adamant that she doesn't care about fame and vast fortunes, which she would have at the snap of her fingers if she simply surrendered to the music industry. Her name is Kim So Hyang and she's a Gospel and pop singer from South Korea and sings in _perfect_ English. The great David Foster places her right beside Whitney Houston, Celine Dion and Mariah Carey: ua-cam.com/video/C6iHh4yBxCo/v-deo.html I can only lead a horse to water. If you won't drink then you are losing out on truly the best female vocalist walking this earth today. 🤷♂️🤦♂️👌🎶😉
Ten times better than Clapton. Guitarists and facial expressions? Where have you been? Clapton can't put that kind of emotion into his playing. He's pretty much technical.
Just a coupla questions... ~ Why did you post the video in the wrong (stretched) aspect ratio? ~ Why is there a watermarked British bulldog "behind" the video?
@Fred Sartin Fair Questions: Here are the answers. To try and stop our videos from being blocked, its simple as that. We have started to see more video getting blocked and rather than blur our the whole video, we put these into our videos. This still does not stop some of them being blocked and then we do have to blur out all the video. We do put a link into the original if you want to view that. Most people already know what the video looks like anyway and are just either watching for the reaction or our thoughts and reviews. Hope that helps. Cheers
@GAIL Louise Yup, maybe we do. This was a very old video and we have since immersed ourselves in getting to know other Country artists since this was recoded. We also don't speak like Dick Van Dike or all work as chimney sweep's, just to balance things out. Cheers

@Brian Almeida Hello to you and thanks for the comment, We have done a few Nightwish and we are slowly building up his tolerance levels with out his knowledge before we tackle that one.😆😆 Thanks for watching
You might consider reacting to Joe's and Beth's cover of the old Tina Turner song, "Black Coffee," which probably most people remember from Humble Pie's cover: ua-cam.com/video/NooMzmbE0xc/v-deo.html
@@BritPopsReact If he has such a hard time listening to longer songs, why should we bother listen to his opinion at all of those same songs?! Best he give his reactions only to children's songs.. all nice and short! In others words, maybe he should find another interest all together.
@Izzy Pelletier No idea, but we are having fun and it's about having some fun. It's our channel and we say it as it is, we could be totally fake and jump around the room every time we hear a high note!! Ohhh sounds like fun....
I'm a blues fan, and I started my guitar playing in blues bands. But for me - problem. This just feels overblown both from Beth and Joe. The performances were both undoubtedly great, but just bigger than the song deserved. I would go for Christine McVie's version over this - much more vulnerable and relatable.
@donepearce Hey Don, nice to hear from you. That is a very fair comment, but you have also said why just do a cover and not make it different. They could have done it slow or give it the full beans. Hope you well.
@@BritPopsReact Sure this is different - I'm just not keen on the artistic choices they made in creating the differences. And really, nobody expects blues standards to be different - they have to be "done right"
@@donepearce I have to disagree. EVERYONE expects a singer, especially a blues singer, to interpret the material in her own way, to make the song hers, not just a cover of someone else's interpretation. Beth does that for sure, and I think Etta would have been happy with this version. As for overblown, nothing of the sort. This was a world-class performance, by both Joe and Beth.
@@donepearce But Beth and Joe DIDN'T "popify" the blues, they were true to the style of the blues and delivered an amazing performance. I think you're a bit too hard on interpretation. I've heard pretty much everyone do "Mustang Sally," and the performances differ greatly. Those differences don't make them inauthentic, they just show how a classic song can be made evergreen by new takes on it. Would you hate Etta James's version of Chuck Berry's "Rock'n'Roll Music" because she sang it differently from Chuck? Chuck loved it, I know that for a fact.

We just like to find new artist we have not heard of and give our thoughts on what we hear.
Most if it is complete rubbish and we have no expert knowledge on anything, but we sometime get things a bit right.
If you want reactors that don't fall off their chairs and love everything they hear, you popped into the right place.
Cheers for checking us out
Love Joe and Beth. His latest album Royal Tea is amazing also Sloe Gin would be a great album/song to react to. Good choice though guys. 👍🏻
@rezner101
I BP2 am, not really familiar with Beth at all, but I do know Joe quite well, BP1 has no real knowledge of either, so this was a good one for us to go with.
We will try and do more from Beth and Joe individually soon.
Thanks for the support as always and thank for the "cuppa", sorry we were late in the reply!!
@@BritPopsReact BP1 really needs to listen to some extra long prog songs 🤣🤣🤣
Well done BP1! 👏👏👏. I don’t know what time you reacted to this, but I was a bit nervous that you were going to get out a full English or lunch. 🤣. You were hilarious - I saw you strap yourself in. 🤣🤣🤣. Your face, tho! 😅. No denying it was am amazing performance but not your usual music as you say, but an honest reaction. Great reactions as always gentlemen!
@Faith Reasons
Hello, BP2 here just to say thank you for watching.
I will get BP1 to drop in and reply to your comment.
Stay tuned, he is a busy man at the moment as it's school holidays here!
@@BritPopsReact Thank you BP2. I don't really expect a reply as you get so many comments. As your channel takes off it will become impossible to reply to everyone, but for now, thank you both for making the effort.😊 Your interaction with the comments really adds a nice friendly vibe to your channel. 👍👌
SVP, ne pas stopper la musique (et l'artiste) pendant sa performance, faite vos commentaires avant ou après !
if you want true blues solos, gary moore's your man. try 'the messiah will come again' or 'still got the blues'.
It's interesting to hear such a narrow, provincial perspective viewpoint in 2023.
@daniel fox
We give all types of viewpoints on here.
Just being honest at the time.
Cheers
Hi guys, she has an absolutely fabulous voice, but I’m not a fan of slow blues, so this wasn’t for me, but as you said a very passionate performance. Thank you so much for sharing this video xxx
@Elaine Howard
That's not a problem at all and again, you gave them a listen and now you know who they are, so well do to you.
Thanks for watching and the support.
Big Joe Bonamassa - & Angelina Jordan - fan. Please consider also reacting to Angelina's cover of I'd Rather Go Blind.
Having a short attention span is not a curse, but an impediment.
The great David Foster places her right beside Whitney Houston, Celine Dion and Mariah Carey: ua-cam.com/video/C6iHh4yBxCo/v-deo.html
I can only lead a horse to water.
Agree with BP1 it is quite gospel sounding in parts but boy I got the goosebumps from her singing
@jenell56
Yes, indeed.
I think Beth had some personal connections to that song, the way she sang that.
Hope you enjoyed it.
Thanks for watching.
@@BritPopsReact I totally agree that she was living/had lived those lyrics and it made her delivery that much more powerful
Just a coupla questions...
~ Why did you post the video in the wrong (stretched) aspect ratio?
~ Why is there a watermarked British bulldog "behind" the video?
@Fred Sartin
Fair Questions:
Here are the answers.
Cheers
@@BritPopsReact Well, that answers that... thanks!
@Fred Sartin
You are very welcome.
Cheers
Country? No.
So not a country song but you are British and call allmusiccountry when you don't understand it
@GAIL Louise
Yup, maybe we do.
This was a very old video and we have since immersed ourselves in getting to know other Country artists since this was recoded.
We also don't speak like Dick Van Dike or all work as chimney sweep's, just to balance things out.
Cheers
Too long a song! So what you're saying is there is no hope of you ever reacting to Nightwish - The Greatest Show On Earth! That comes in at a quick 23 minutes long 😆 🤣. Great reaction. Stay safe 🤘 ✌
@Brian Almeida
Hello to you and thanks for the comment,
We have done a few Nightwish and we are slowly building up his tolerance levels with out his knowledge before we tackle that one.😆😆
Thanks for watching
@@BritPopsReact hahaha 😆 look forward to it.
You might consider reacting to Joe's and Beth's cover of the old Tina Turner song, "Black Coffee," which probably most people remember from Humble Pie's cover: ua-cam.com/video/NooMzmbE0xc/v-deo.html
@Douglas Loss
Hello and thank you for the comment and the recommendation.
We will add it to the list and hope to get to it soon.
No. The fastes 9 minutes of his life was his last girlfriend.
Reaction vanda catch me if you can you can enjoy video
please react to H.E.R come through ft. Chris Brown !
Far too long for a song? What about your words?
Wet blanket of a reaction, sucked the energy right out.
You have to work on your attention span ... a long song is never by default bad!
@Utubemop
He is getting better, we got him up to an 8 minute song, sadly it was Slayer and he didn't like it😆
Thanks for popping in
@@BritPopsReact If he has such a hard time listening to longer songs, why should we bother listen to his opinion at all of those same songs?! Best he give his reactions only to children's songs.. all nice and short! In others words, maybe he should find another interest all together.
@Izzy Pelletier
No idea, but we are having fun and it's about having some fun.
@donepearce
Hey Don, nice to hear from you.
@@douglasloss The leeway for interpretation is narrow. Try and perform blues in the pop idiom and you won't win any friends.
Vcs são péssimos
Speaking of far too long, guy on the left, why don’t you shut up once in a while?
What.com ever 🤣 well if you can’t beat long songs join them with the comment! Thanks for watching
