"My mother was Korean, and my father was Black American. She gave me this picture when she was real sick. I was only nine years old. They say, that they loved each other and they were real loyal. They were real happy. But then, when he finished military duty, he left. And we never saw him again. She told me to find him! But I didn't like him, because he left us. But I knew one day when I grew up, I'd find him. Whether he was dead or alive. I sent a couple letters to the Defense Department and... nothing happened."
In my opinion, Miami Connection is not only a "so bad it's good" movie, but it's also the epitome of that "genre", maybe because it's all so freakin endearing and enjoyable and overall encompasses every feature in 80s indie action movies.
It pisses me off when I see fanboyflicks left out of people's lists of top movie reviewers on UA-cam. I can only assume it's because they haven't discovered him yet.

Miami's drug problems have always been dwarfed by its ninja problems. This movie is just brave enough to talk about it.

I love how his friends are just standing around looking sad during the whole three hours he's blubbering through his monologue
"You have a father? I thought we're all orphans!" can end any fight.
A FRIEND??!?!?!
That "crying monologue" guy's mother who was Korean must've been the darkest Korean ever.
I didn't realize Michael phelps was in a bad movie

Maybe the band should have been called “Orphan Sound”?
Motorcycle gangs..check
YK KIM : "YOO DOEN SCUR MEH AHT AW! AHT AW!!!" - amazingly potent line delivery!
There's something so pure about this movie

I would love to have a Dragon Sound recording. Invite some friends over, put it on, and start dancing maniacally.

One of the greatest “it’s so bad, it’s good” movies all time, and RiffTrax is amazing in this one 💯😂
