- How do you get injured during the pregame introductions? Well, during week 3 of the 2002 NFL season, the New York Jets played the Miami Dolphins, and the Dolphins had a genius way of introducing their players as they came out through the tunnel. And let's just say that kicker Olindo Mare felt the brunt of this idea gone horribly, horribly wrong

Those early 2000’s Dolphins teams were so stacked. If only they had an elite QB
The helmets under the Jets and Dolphins ones are the teams Mare played for after the Dolphins
Wow you got it
@@kitchenerleslie8388 Yeah. It was my gut instinct, and I looked it up and sure enough, those were the teams Mare played for after the dolphins
Good job!!
Saying olindo mare is always fun. As chris berman once said, "Olindo Mar-e! Woah-oh-oh"
So we got to see JG9 say the famous 39.6 line. Awesome.
I remember watching this game. That was the game where I knew the jets had to bench Testaverde. The jets lost but won the AFC East for the 2nd and last time
I never knew this story on Mare
Can’t remember if it was preseason 2005 but another former Dolphin AJ Feeley also got injured once in pregame introductions where a teammate slapped him on the butt and he pulled a muscle cause of it.
This video is on UA-cam somewhere
That was funny
Wait seriously? A teammate slaps him on the butt and he pulls a muscle? Man that's obscure.
It was during the 2004 game in Seattle. Feeley was already injured and David Bowens slapped right on the injured area.
I absolutely popped at the pickleball story. I can relate about the importance of staying hydrated while playing.
The Saints, Seahawks, Panthers and Bears are the 4 other teams Mare kicked for after leaving Miami. That's the connection
I loved Mare back in the day. I'm a Dolphins diehard and remember all this
Thank goodness the missed FG didn't matter, but whoever handled the pyro in what's now part of Miami Gardens that day should've been more careful.
I was really surprised (in a good way) that someone bought the Boselli tier during the live chat.
I went to the same HS as Mare but 4 years after he did. I came in as a freshman the year after he graduated.
Mare played. for the. Saints Sehawks Panthers Bears after the Dolphins
I thought an editor was going to get fired at 10:29.
Miami needs to bring that logo and jersey back.
When I was a kid..i was at camp and walking and someone was fishing. They go to cast not realizing im about 10 feet behind them. The hook lands right on my eyelid. The guy then yanks over and over till he hears my scream. But point is...had i not happened to blink at that very moment, the hook hits my eye and im blind.
To Mare's credit he went 3 for 4 on field goals with a long of 53 that day
On an even more tragic note, pyrotechnics played a role in a fire at The Station night club in Rhode Island that killed 100 people, nearly five months after, on February 20, 2003.
How come no one talks about Olindo Mare when it comes to NFL kickers throughout NFL history?
He wasn't that good for that long.
He didn't have that big of a leg, and other guys were more accurate.
@@ThatGreenGuy85 Ah this all explains it.
Are you giving a preview of JG6 at 15:16?
This unofficial Official Jaguar Gator 9 historian believes this would have happened to Les Josephson knowing his luck.
He will also remind everyone you made a video about a Packers player who got his eye injured by a lit cigar.
Hey JaguarGator, any news out of the Jags on the possibility on throwback uniforms now that a member of the Jaguars is a HOFer? Or any news on new uniforms?
1:02 Unless it's an orca, a life-sized version of a team's mascot head would still be very small and aren't much bigger than a helmet.
I wish this happened in an Al Michaels game
With all due respect, this was far from the 2002 Miami Dolphins largest failure. One only needs to watch their three game losing streak or their final game in New England to realize this.
not to nitpick, but the jets were down 30-7 going into the 4th, not 30-3.
I think your top tier should be Bortles tier. Blake Bortles does what Blake Bortles does because he is Blake Bortles.
If the Jags reach the Super Bowl any time soon, the Lawrence tier will be $500.
@@toddbiesel4288Let’s not forget the new value tier, the Urban Meyer tier. For just $0.69, you get these monthly benefits:
•Get kicked in the butt
•Get a phone call from your co-worker, but it’s actually your boss using your co-worker’s phone and he’s pissed off about a minor mistake you made on your last project
•Get charged by the NCAA with rules violations, even if you never played college sports or even went to college
•Subscription automatically cancels after 13 weeks
It's Gerrard no garrard
It's Garrard
As a Panthers fan I know for sure Mare kicked for us and was awful, so I assume the other helmets were the other teams he played for.
I always forget how good Mare was in Miami because he was sooooo bad in Carolina
Olindo Mare was 💵
Mjd tier soon
Awesome! Thanks! Jones-Drew tier is $24.99
@@OfficialJaguarGator9 nice names for each tier. Mjd is a good back
My favorite Jag of all time
Do a video on the Monday Night Miracle between the Jets and Dolphins in 2000.
Saw a video from a few days ago and now seeing this one uploaded just minutes ago coincidentally even though I had searched up to watch something else.
I would always trade for this dude and aj feely in madden...idk why? Lmao
Very different seeing you talk on camera on a video rather than just hear your voice.
First!
