  • Here are a few easy, effective tips to release our deep hip flexor the Iliopsoas. This is a must do self massage if you spend a lot of time sitting as this muscle gets very tight and leads to low back pain, groin pain and leg pain.

Oh goodness I needed this! I've osteoarthritis in my hip and my hip flexor seems to tighten and cause problems. I live alone and can't afford a massage as often as I need one. I've figured out some of what you show, but the bending the knee and raised leg are a game changer! Thank you so much! ♡♡♡

Thanks so much Spencer!! I have ongoing back issues and pain due to an overworked and tight Psoas muscle and spend $$$$ getting it worked on. Will definitely be trying these techniques at home. 😊🤞🏻.

I think this may be what's wrong with me, especially with the strange chair I sit in. It's almost like I have a pain where my appendix is (I don't have one anymore) but it also affects my back in that I cant bend forward or to the left anymore.

Can someone share symptoms of tight psoas? Like how does it feel when it’s tight? After I had my last baby, I would get this like tight feeling or knot or something in the left side of my abdomen where it looks like this massage begins, but my doctors said it’s likely “gas” or bloating. I usually bloat all over, not just in that one spot. It comes and goes. Sometimes gas makes sense because it kind of comes on depending on what I eat. Ive wondered if it could be psoas related since I still have minor lingering hip issues also due to that pregnancy. I heard psoas can also affect digestion/gas/bloating. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Thanks for any advice!

Another good video. You might consider wearing long, dark socks, with a nice but comfortable dress shoe. Would complete the ensemble a little better. Thanks for teaching us!

Is anybody solved iliopsoas problem with massage or stretch? I have been trying for years and with no success. I think this is stress related and cannot be solved phisicaly. Change my mind.
