Im a die hard ravens fan but it was still hard to see Ben go, such a MONSTROUS quarterback and he meant so much to the City of Pittsburgh. I may want them to lose when they play the ravens but i have so much respect for Big #7. What a career.
Thanks I respect the ravens franchise a lot I think they are the only team worthy to compare to the steelers when it comes to rough and tough true football. We had some amazing games and really beat each other up but there is no team tougher than the stillers and ravens
As a Steelers fan I feel the same way about Lamar. I hope we beat ravens everytime but I hope more that Lamar stays a raven cause that’s where he belongs
Ravens are really the only other team in the division I have major respect for their players and franchise. Even though he beat us up, Ray Lewis is still one of my favorites players because of the way he plays.
Cowboys fan here….but damn this brought tears to my eyes. So much respect for this man. He’s such a legend and has been a true warrior throughout his career. Hats off to Big Ben for all his accomplishments and what he has done for the city of Pittsburgh! Respect!
Damn, I’ve always been against him as a fan but after seeing this how could you not miss him. It’s hitting me now that there won’t be anymore Big Ben after all these years
My first memory of football was at a family Christmas, hearing members of the family talking about "this new guy" who was more mobile, starting at QB for the Steelers. That was Ben Roethlisberger in his first season. I didn't follow football enough to understand what I was watching, but I watched those games and that playoff run. The following season I got more into it. Knowing the names of just about every Steelers starter from watching and playing Madden. Fittingly enough, both John Madden and Ben Roethlisberger were the reason I fell in love with football. Watching the Steelers win the Super Bowl in 2005 (admittedly in spite of Roethlisberger) had me hooked, but the throw to Santonio Holmes in SB43 will be the play I'll remember Big Ben for forever. Jumping up and down, wearing my Holmes jersey in the living room, it was a feeling I relive multiple times a year when I watch the play. I've only missed watching a handful of games since then. The Steeler game on Sundays, Mondays, or Thursdays has been a family event for the past 15 years for me. Sometimes dad would get frustrated with them and declare a loss by the end of the first quarter after sub-par play. But I've always had faith when 7 was in the game.. 50+ times he's made fourth quarter comebacks, and I've always said, no matter who was injured, no matter how good an opponent was supposed be: "If Ben is playing, we've got a chance" 7 taking snaps is all I've ever known. Sure he's missed games, or even the vast majority of the 2019 season and other QBs have been under center, but knowing this time there is no "next year" for Big Ben is bittersweet. It's been an absolute pleasure to watch him lead the Steelers for so many years, and I'm just glad he got to go out with a final home victory. He deserved it after giving so much to the fans and the league for almost 2 decades. I'll miss watching him play. Shaking off sacks and making crazy plays to extend drives, never willing to give up. Regardless of how next week plays out, a .500 finish or better in every season of his career is incredible. A winner through and through. 2 rings brought to the city of Pittsburgh and countless Sundays made better by his play. I'm excited for the future of the Steelers, but sad to see the end of an incredible era. Future HOFer and Pittsburgh legend without a doubt.
Even as a Ravens fan I had to like this one. He was always the difference between our two teams. I remember the game we knocked Tommy Maddox out and some rookie with a name I couldn't pronounce started shredding up Ray Lewis and Ed Reed off the bench. He almost brought them back but we won. Still had a feeling Pittsburgh may have finally found a QB, little did I know how right I was. Hated this dude for years, but gotta give respect after you break a guy's nose, he misses one snap and then balls out to beat you. The Ravens are the same in my home, really brought the family together and battling this guy in his prime was a tradition in itself.
@@vegaskidd555 He's never had a losing season in 18 years. That don't suck. How many can say that? Or say they have multiple Superbowl wins? Not too many.
You don't have to be a Steelers fan to get so much chills from this. Much respect to Ben and his future endeavors. I still remember the day he took over for Tommy Maddox and the start to an amazing career. Definitely will be in the hall of fame one day.

That his stats surpasses Dan Marino's, tells you what an amazing qb Ben was, but he never enters the conversation of the goats of all time, and he definitely should. He worked his a... off against the Patriots and the NFL, and still he managed to get 2 glorious SB rings. The competition was fierce and was even more fierce. He wasn't given anything for free. Just remember his breakout season as a rookie, he almost made it to the SB. He brought new life to the game.
It’s crazy to think I’ve gone nearly my whole life watching quarterbacks like Big Ben, Phillip Rivers, Drew Brees, Eli and Peyton Manning. Truly one of the greats
Big Ben..ty for all you have given us and ty to your family for sharing you with us. Its been truly an amazing ride. You depict what a true Pittsburger is. God Bless you and yours Get some rest now. You will always be in our hearts. There is No One like you.
Ben is exactly what I picture when I think of Steelers legacy. Hard working never say die….he was who you wanted as a qb in that town. That’s a blue collar town and they needed a blue collar QB. I’m a patriots fan but his legacy is unquestionable. One of the greats and fits in with the previous Steeler greats. HOFer no doubt
Was never a Steelers fan, but I still grew up watching Ben. Feels surreal seeing him at his final curtain call at Heinz field. Looking forward to seeing him in the HOF.💯
22 years old and have been watching him since i was 6. This just seems unreal that next season 7 won’t be under center. He left everything he had on the field every game no matter the outcome and you have to respect that. I wouldn’t have wanted anyone else as qb during my 16 years of being a die hard steelers fan. Thank you #7 for all the great memories!
I’m not at all a Steelers fan but much respect to Big Ben. Even though I rooted against him his whole career i still get choked up watching a warrior retire.
Big Ben is one of the best top ten QB’s of all time. Iconic moments, clutch moments, championships and wins/stats are up there with the best of them. All love Big Ben - it’s been a joy to watch you
Bengal fan for 41 years here giving Big Ben his respect. Loved watching our team go against the Steelers not because it was easy, but because it was hard and much more of a satisfaction to take down such a great culture and Ben being so strong at his position made it much more exciting to watch. Such a hard man to take down and that will carry on off the field I'm sure. Thanks for the memories Ben. The rivalry will never be the same without you. I'll miss you man.
Thank you Big Ben! Watched you since I was 10, you got me into football and thank you for everything! I cannot be more blessed to have you for my team QB. Thank you #7!

On behalf of all 90's kids I think I speak the truth when I say "thank you" to Big Ben. Watching the reverence on Peytons face during this was golden. As years go by all the legends of my youth retire. TB12 is still going strong but I know soon that also will end. It was an amazing upbringing and I can't thank all of you enough. We really grew up in the golden era.

I believe he’s the greatest Steelers QB of all time. Bradshaw has more rings of course but Big Ben has better stats and 2 rings as well. Both are great but have to give the nod to Big Ben.
@RIP Harambe Bradshaw played well in the playoffs, not as good as Ben during the regular season. They both were surrounded with some of the best players in their era.

I was there at the game, after the steelers won everyone in the stadium was chanting "THANK YOU BEN" it was extremely emotional and I'm happy but sad that it was my first Steelers game with ben ❤
As a Steelers fan this still makes me cry every time I see it. The last 2 years of his career I wanted to move on from him because I felt it was time, and I was happy to hear him say this was gonna be his last ride. Then this game happened. Then I was at home just reminiscing on all of the amazing memories he gave us fans, and all of a sudden I felt extremely sad seeing him go & I instantly regretted the fact that I wanted to rush him out the door. The man played through so many legit injuries, and always seemed to come through for us. So I felt guilty, and realized that after all he had given to this city, & to this team he probably deserved to get that 1 last season that he wanted. Also deserved to go out on his terms rather than being forced out.

Truly one of the greats
wow no love for brady😂
@@Louthemailman it’s cuz the man is still playing he’s like a robot
Big Ben..ty for all you have given us and ty to your family for sharing you with us. Its been truly an amazing ride. You depict what a true Pittsburger is. God Bless you and yours
Get some rest now.
We'll miss him a lot. True legend. Much respect
Peyton looks like he's having 'nam flashbacks to when he retired lol. Congrats on a great career Big Ben, t'was a pleasure to watch you play.
Love you Ben Thank you for all the great memories you will always be my favorite player
The rivalry won’t be the same without you Ben. Big respect…💜😈🖤
Big Ben is one of the best top ten QB’s of all time. Iconic moments, clutch moments, championships and wins/stats are up there with the best of them. All love Big Ben - it’s been a joy to watch you
I'm a Texans fan, and I remember watching Super Bowl 43 when Big Ben threw that 6 yard TD pass to Santonio Holmes to win the game.
So good to see all the love and support
Thank you Big Ben! Watched you since I was 10, you got me into football and thank you for everything! I cannot be more blessed to have you for my team QB. Thank you #7!
It's crazy how much more emotion can hurt you than physical can Big Ben has been hit by the best and got up and wipe himself off this one ain't going to be so easy to wipe off love you bro
"My Hero" playing in the background, as he takes a lap around the stadium, is just perfect. Thank you Ben. He's been my QB since I was 8. I've known nothing else besides #7, for 18 years. I'm gonna miss him a lot.
As a Steelers fan I was heartbroken when he left against the chiefs bc I was there at the game and I got to shake his hand before the game and get a wave after they lost against the chiefs. #7 forever. Love you Big Ben
One of my favorites to ever do it / he always brought everything had he never quit ever . A true competitor
These are the moments in football that I love. Victory is always the goal, but the gratitude and appreciation in that stadium is what it's all about.
I’ve always been a Cowboys fan but I always have appreciation for incredible players and appreciate players to understand what I’m witnessing, I’m witnessing history and have witnessed it for years now. I have been balling my eyes out watching these clips and have an extreme appreciation for what he has given to the game. Idk what else to say but thanks for reading and let’s keep the nfl moving forward.
When Big Ben retired he took a little piece of Steelers fans hearts with him.
I'm going to miss you big guy
I am a Steeler fan, this guy went thru so much. Warrior till the end,
Raiders fan here but I love the game through and through. This is truly the end of another era. Really enjoyed watching his play. Thanks for the memories and entertainment!
As a Raider fan. Much Respect for this man. watching him tear up had me going. 🥺
Man Pittsburgh realize that’s one of the greatest walking off your home field right there been great watching him this many years my favorite player of all time. Thank you Big Ben.
As a cowboy fan man I always like Big Ben man what a player he was and could have u hurtling you when he play again your team and came up clutch in a lot of games in he’s career, I remember the super bowl with Arizona when he hit Antonio Holmes man I can remember that like it was yesterday. Much respect for big 7✊🏻✊🏻
I believe he’s the greatest Steelers QB of all time. Bradshaw has more rings of course but Big Ben has better stats and 2 rings as well. Both are great but have to give the nod to Big Ben.
undoubtedly big ben is the best steelers qb of all time bradshaw is the greatest because of the rings tho
Bradshaw had that historic defense though.
Look at the stats lol these two can't even be compared. Big Ben
Agreed and I've been a Steeler fan for 55 years.
@RIP Harambe Bradshaw played well in the playoffs, not as good as Ben during the regular season. They both were surrounded with some of the best players in their era.
Thank u Big Ben 💛❤️💙 and Steelers 4 Life bby 😝
Goodbye big Ben!!! I've watched you since I was 13 man. It's been a ride.
not a Steelers fan but this was sad man im gonna miss Big Ben 😢 He had a legendary career one of the most underrated QB’s of all time He was so much fun to watch
He came in the league when I graduated high school I’ve been a Steelers fan since I was a kid I watched this man’s entire career one of my favorite qbs of all time we love you Big Ben 🖤💛💜
I'm gonna miss this dude. Watching the Steelers won't be the same without Big Ben.Adios Warrior
I remember going to the 2005 afc championship game in Denver. It was one of the first games I attended in person and obviously a big one. I remember the bus and Big Ben running all over the Broncos defense. Ever since that game I became a fan of the Steelers. Whenever the Broncos weren’t involved, I’d root for them. Enjoy retirement big guy, you deserve it.
The most emotional goodbye ever for Big Ben on Monday night also, the overall for the NFL. Good luck big Ben I’m rooting on you
i remember watching Big Ben play for the first time and being in awe at what a freak of nature he was. i was a Jets fan but became an immediate fan of him.
Respect from Cincinnati. There have been some epic battles that will haunt me forever lol. Great career, good luck moving forward! Future hall of fame!
Appreciate it bro! Congrats on winning the north btw!
@@andrewscocozza4340 thank you sir! I'm sure you guys will be back never have a losing season.. The North division is the best & holds the highest standards out of any other year in and out.
Damn seeing Eli retiring at his 16th season, Philip 17th and now Ben at 18th such great guys and QBs with amazing careers. Nothing but respect for those 3
Steeler nation loves you big Ben from Pittsburgh USA all the way to Perth Australia, we love you big Ben, amazing QB to watch 💛🖤💛🖤
Been a die hard Seattle Seahawks fan since the late 90’s. I have always had respect for Big Ben! Always loved his play making ability and work ethic. Always been impressive as a player. An all around solid guy on and off the field. NFL took a lost. You will forever be missed!! Love from Seattle 📍
Man I cried like 3 times during this game. I was watching the game he came in and have only missed a handful since. Hands down my favorite player to ever play.
He's pretty much crapped on my Bengals practically my whole life but I appreciate and respect big Ben.
I was there at the game, after the steelers won everyone in the stadium was chanting "THANK YOU BEN" it was extremely emotional and I'm happy but sad that it was my first Steelers game with ben ❤
When Ben first came into the league he won 2 superbowls right away. I always thought he'd win a couple more. What a career he had!
He would have if it weren’t for Brady and the Steelers having a really shitty defense for 6 of his best years from 13-19
I’m so blessed to have seen him play in person before he retired 😭😭😭
I'm a Bengals fan, but I have respect for Big Ben . Good Bye for a legend.
Ben made every team go out and say we need a mobile qb like that.. he changed the game. The lap of appreciation.. naw dude. Thank you
Ben and coach haven't had a losing season. What a great team!
Hes just a man that wouldn't take no for an answer
Can see Peyton getting PTSD from this moment. He was clearly choked up as well. Nice to see other players get emotional over a moment like this.
