haha total boat/botal toat! same same! haha annnd i use both carbide and traditional roughing gouges. i like the mix of them! All great imo, as long as things are sharp!
totally! i usually throw some paste wax on my tools. just a bit of neglect at the end of the season. i ended up sanding it and waxed it before turning things.

You should lightly coat your tools with some kin of preservative if you're going to store them outside to prevent rust.
