Nirvana live was sonically closer to their 1993 album 'In Utero'... which was a raw, heavy album. Kurt Cobain felt that their 1991 hit album 'Nevermind' was too polished but they did not think that Nirvana had a shot at mainstream popularity... Even their label Geffen Records only printed a quarter million copies in the USA for sale. Once 'Smells like teen spirit' became a huge single, demand for 'Nevermind' was so high that Geffen scrambled to produce more copies and actually bypassed other artists on their roster to keep up w/ Nirvana's demand... The album went to #1 on the charts by November 1991... knocking off Michael Jackson's 'Dangerous' album.
I just remember in high school when I heard this for the first time. It's something I'll never forget. It was like nothing I'd ever heard before and I absolutely loved it! It's been 33 years and I still wanna mosh to this when I hear it! Great times those were!😎😊
I know what u mean….He was just raw with that voice live…on albums too, but live the vocal cord shredding was just so much more evident…just raw like that. Theres stuff on the in utero album where the screams are just unbelievable, but if he were to do some of those songs live? It’d just be 🤯, which he did do some from that last album live , but I haven’t heard all of those in utero songs live.
Alright, let's go: this is my favorite of Nirvana's songs, I would like to have seen them at their peak, maybe if Kurt Cobaim hadn't drowned in drugs and got involved with Couttney Love things wouldn't have been like this, now talking about your reaction is magnificent as always Inna, lively and fun you, if I had to recommend a song I would recommend the song Awake and Alive by the band Skillet, it's a good song and I think you'll like it and that's it, continue with the work you are doing and Brazilian greetings to you, Ukrainian who lives in Italy! 💚💛💚💛
Stage diving was normal at concerts back then, but people didn’t interfere with the performers, not that things couldn’t get rowdy. I don’t get people throwing their cellphones at singers heads now, because they think they’re entitled to a selfie, wtf is that about? Also, singers voices were near perfect on studio cuts, but that was still before the invention of autotune, just saying. Pardon me while I go yell at some clouds…
If you like reacting to full concerts, may i suggest Radiohead -esp early 2000s, if you prefer their rockier side; Billy Squier in the 80s; and Gov't Mule. Both Radiohead and Mule have many choices uploaded. Both are known for their live shows. Gov't Mule has a library of studio albums out- and almost as many live albums, lol. ALL of the live albums are fantastic. Different energy, but MAN can they play!
He spent the night before doing a certain substance with Courtney so his voice was worn out by the time they got on stage. However Kurt being Kurt just didn't give a fuck and went full throttle anyways
React to "goodbye angels - red hot chilli peppers live meadows festival 2017" "dont forget me, live meadows festival" and the official videoclip "dark necessities - red hot chilli peppers" plzz. We need see more rhcp. Epic musics, epic performance.
I like this. I Haven't seen this live one before. I went to the same school as Kurt and Krist. Grew up grunge ha ha. You would be great playing this on your guitar right? Hair in your face... Someday soon.
In the Studio his vocals are double tracked, which means he laid down the same vocal twice to double it. He didn’t want to double track his vocals on Nevermind, but Butch Vig the producer knew he liked the Beatles and he told Kurt that John Lennon double tracked his vocals. So Kurt agreed to it.
Hello there u like this song do u have u heard of weird al yankovic who did a parody of this song if not consider it if u like to laugh out loud. they made a comment about weird al if he did a cover to your song than you are famous. i wont even dare u ok. HAGD TC Be Safe Be Good peace out.

Stage diving and Mosh were very common in the 90s. We loved it 😂 🤘

Smells Like Teen Spirit is the anthem for the generation that never wanted one.
No it wasn’t. The tv told you that.
@@CB-zk7hb Be-lie-ve the TV? Yeah, that'd be a no.
Stage diving is so fun unless the crowed lets you hit the floor. Seen that happen before at Exodus in 87.
You sum up this live performance brilliantly Inna. Well done
Stage diving .. the good ole days. Paradiso is also such a fantastic venue to go to concerts. Love to go there.

Hello, my favorite guitar player in UA-cam! I never did a stage diving, because i never had a feeling that people won't let me hit the floor.
😂😂😂😂
your smile is like a beautiful poem
I saw them on this tour about a month before this show at First Avenue in Minneapolis. Great show!
How was it? I was in Minneapolis but about 8 at the time. 😂
When "Smells Like Nirvana." by Weird Al Yankovic's came out Kurt Cobain knew his band had made it. I love both songs.
You gotta watch Come As You Are live at Teatro Castello 1991, that version of that song is absolutely magical
Nice reaction, you really enjoyed this one. Have you listened to MTV unplugged version?
In those days it wasn't uncommon for people to jump on stage and dance or jump around, it was a different time.
I love your passion!!!
Thank you for reacting to one of my favorite songs 🎉
Dave Grohl......making history..........Drummer of Nirvana and Vocal of Foo Fighters
3 thousand views in 22 hours....they need to reissue the Paramount Blu-ray with fixed, properly synched sound; it would sell.
Hey Inna you know that's Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters playing the drums.
Smells Like Inna Spirit hehe, i love your reaction about NIrvana
