Hi loves! This will be the last episode in this series! Hope you loved the travel content! I'm SO excited to roll out a new series TOMORROW that I think you'll love!
Carrie Rad I absolutely loved this video. It coincides with a book I am currently reading, it’s called “how not to die”. It sounds awful but trust me it’s such a good read and fascinating. It explains the extreme helpful/healing benefits of s plant based diet and how it helps disease etc. So so good. Eeeeek not long now until Lanka comes home to you and Alex, cannot wait. So excited for you both xx✌🏻😘💜 xx
Hi Carrie I just watched your video and I'm very keen on visiting the Ayurvedic massage place you went too. I will be travelling to Sri Lanka soon and was wondering if you could share those details so I could book my treatment there. Thank you!
i am loving this video! sri lanka has a special place in my heart since i went volunteering there the first 3 months of this year. it is such a beautiful country with so lovely and friendly people! greetings from germany:)
Sri Lanka holds a special place in my heart too bc my family is Sri Lankan. I was born in/live in Australia and I don’t speak Sinhalese or anything. My first time going to SL, I was 5 years old and it was soooo amazing! I still remember literally everything bc that country is so beautiful. My family and I used to have the opportunity to go back every couple of years and visit my extended family but since growing up, I haven’t been to SL for 10 years 😔 I hope to go back sometime soon again once I’m done with university. ❤️ I’m so glad you got the opportunity to appreciate this beautiful country and adopt your puppy Lanka 💕 loved this video!
I lived in Belgium for two years and a lot of the massages I would get would leave me quite exposed. I personally loved it! You're right it is very liberating. Recently I've been doing topless yoga & I find that in these things I've been able to be more comfortable in my skin. I have stretch marks and parts of my body I don't like but how else are you going to love yourself if you can't sit in your own skin.
What a lovely video. So many wonderful tips and I cant wait to see Lanka back with you & Alex. He is adorable and those Insta pics are amazing. The video where he sounded like a seagull was so cute. Have a fabulous day Carrie.
Different doshas should you different oils. Not all oils are created equal, some are more drying than others. I can't remember exactly which are for which dosha though. I just wanted to let you know! I am glad you made this video, more people need to know about Ayurveda!
Woah! I've been interested in ayurveda and have been reading a book to learn more about it too. Your videos come at such a great time haha. I love your outlook and how open minded you are.
I just posted my own tips to stay healthy while traveling! Great minds think alike!! I loved your take on it, incorporating Sir Lankan culture into your healthy habits. Love it!
Awh loved this I live in England but my hometown is SL and I’m so glad you visited. Its so beautiful and I’m glad you went to lots of nice places. If you ever go again you should try going to Colombo (there’s some really nice places that are not so touristy), galle and kandy if you haven’t been already xx
And from my point of view you basically covered everything on Ayurveda... it’s all about the lifestyle and in Sri Lanka they also have lots of Ayurvedic medicines and stuff as alternatives to stuff like paracetamol so if u can ever access them when ur in SL and have a headache or get ill or something make sure u give them a try too xx
Love this! I hope you make it a series in your travels! India has hands down been my favorite country to go back to again and again... now I want to head even further south! xoxo
This was such a gorgeous video Carrie. It looked like you had an incredible time there. Great tips in this video and I'll definitely have to give them a try
Hi Carrie! This is so interesting I’ve never heard of Ayurveda before. I definitely want to learn more about it now. Also can’t wait watch videos of Lanka once he comes home! 😄
Beautiful vlog and you explained everything so wonderfully. Looking forward to seeing Lanka and the next series on this channel. You and Alex are a great pair.
Hi Carrie, Beautifully done. 1 small correction. Ayu = Life, Veda = Knowledge (I think you got that mixed-up, a little). As you may have notice our greetings, "Ayubowan" (May you live longer, Ayu = life, Bowan = many more). Hope you will return here many more times, thanks for the wonderful vlog. As we say here, " May the blessing of the Triple Gem guide and protect you always" (ps. Triple gem is Buddha, Dharma and Sanga ; en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Refuge_(Buddhism)
Loved the video! Sri Lanka is a place I've looked into going in the past and I hope one day I do visit, this video has only fueled my interest in the country more!! Request: could you please do a video explaining the process of adopting your puppy Lanka, maybe in several months time when he is with you guys (not sure if this was already planned)... it'd be interesting hearing about your experience!
Hi Carrie, hope you're doing great. Just a word of encouragement here: as you said we are all the same so you too can go on a plant based diet if you feel like doing so. Plus, there are many different ones you can choose from (vegan, vegetarian, reducitarian, flexitarian, okinawa diet, Mediterranean diet, and the list goes on and on). Nobody says you have to, but since you seemed to love the idea to try it out for yourself, I figured you would appreciate some ideas to explore or mix match ;) And since we're on the topic of eating and you seem a very open-minded person (that's why I watch almost all your videos since a few months), I thought you might find interesting to know that our bodies need around 8hrs to digest the food we're feeding it with. And 4 to 6hrs on a plant based diet. So if we eat small quantities of food throughout the day, we actually don't let our digestive system rest, except for when we are sleeping. And given that digestion is the activity that requires most of our energy to process, we're left with much lesser energy than if we stick to 2 to 3 meals a day, top. That's why intermittent fasting is being recommended by so many scientists and successful entrepreneurs right now (even though I haven't tried it yet). Hope I could share some new perspective to make it up to you for all the new ideas and insights i've learned from you in the last few months. Lots of love xxx Sally.
Lanka ist very very cute! I am finding soooo cool that you guys adopted a puppy from there and are taking the hassle of waiting for the puppy to be ready to come to the US. Very very amazing of you two! :-) Congrats!!!
I stop working four hours before I plan to go to bed, so I guess I'm already doing some of this. I would like to add that I know from personal experience that walking is very helpful in the elimination process, which is the body's major way of detoxifying itself.
Have you read the book by Sahara Rose? Ayurveda (Idiot's Guide) and also listen to the last episodes on Your Own Magic podcast. You should listen to part 1 first before going into part 2 and 3 - regarding Ayurveda.
That girl talks too much. and does not take responsibility for what she say. to me they are actually buggies. someone who watches this video but doesn't take it seriously. 😔

Thank you for your sunshine Carrie! :)
I loved the Sri Lanka series!! This video is beautiful! Where did you get your treatment in Sri Lanka? I guess many of them won't be as good as yours!
HI Isabel, most of the bigger hotels around the country have Ayurveda facilities.
In Colombo, there is Angsana and Spa Ceylon.
Nice video Carrie...
Small note: The meanings of the words Ayu & Veda should be the other way around. Ayu means life, Veda means science/knowledge-of.

Yes! Sahara @iamsahararose is the one to go to for this topic
