How Are Sports Whistles Made? | How Do They Do It?

J Hudson & Co have been making whistles in England for over a hundred years and can be found everywhere, even the Titanic, but how exactly are these tiny metal pieces able to make such loud noises?

Not only are these sports whistles, but even louder versions have been made as train guard's whistles for over 150 years- I have an original London and North Eastern Railway one dated 1931

J Hudson's Acme Whistle factory is a couple hundred meters walk from where I live, walk past it all the time & see stock going out & always wonder where they're going, could be to some kid just to play with or something as important as a World Cup final
