For me there is - and never will be - a greater DJ. I love that unique Carl Cox style, banging and energetic, often playing two tracks at once. More than just mixing one track into the next. He is the god of DJs.

Very true… Dave Clarke is great too. I haven’t been to one of his gigs in years but he used to kill it. He was to do turntablism tricks on vinyl… always a good time at his gigs 👍

Michaël Materne C’est malheureusement la constatation que je fais quand j’entends ce que les jeunes écoutent : que du rap du rap du rap du rap français à la con... techno ? Electro ? Ils aiment pas ou au pire ils en écoutent comme ça mais uniquement en soirée seulement et encore,ca les saoule au bout de 10 minutes ! Ça me désespère moi qui mixais de la techno il y a 25 ans (Et oui j’ai connu l’époque des années 90 avec la bonne vieille techno acid et trance ).95 % des jeunes à l’époque n’écoutaient que ça,Maintenant,l’époque techno est révolue! Place aux daubes commerciales....

Got on the Metro from my hotel to the start. Knew I was on the right train as half the people were painted silver :-). Arrived at the station, doors opened , massive cheer and whistle blowing :-). Walking up to the surface feeling the waves of bass coming down the staircase :-). Rig I was following stopped on the bridge over the Seine and dropped an acid techno track sampling Motorhead - Ace of Spades :-). Crowd went bonkers :-). Carl Cox was the 'warm up' DJ :-). GF had her mobile pickpocketed out her rucsac. Spent the rest of the evening trying to get a police crime report :-(

Living Legend! Still have this mix on tape somewhere, it was played on Dutch cable radio by a program called The 12" inch Show. Amazing to see this live video footage! I remember it was such a lovely recording with all this cheering, seeing such good vibes and proper techno those were the Coxie heydays.
