The key is to always brace for your fall prior to the occurrence, and never quit after getting hurt :) that's the toughest part. If you're not injured of course it's easy to get right back up and keep on rolling. If injury prevents you from getting back into such a awesome sport that truly sucks, but I guess it's part of the game right! I used to be a skater years back and know the whole injury survivor game. So yep! safety is paramount though. Be careful out there fellas. Oh and pretty cool footage, love them tracks y'all got out there.
Cool video. Y’all need to come back soon. All of coler has been reworked and made even better. The DH flowtrail is currently closed for renovation but will be amazing and the new reworked flight of the armadillo is sooooooo good.
That’s a great day of riding! I rode Coler for the first time last week and had a bad crash on Cease and Desist where I separated my shoulder. Luckily, or unluckily☹️) I got it on video and posted it to my channel. Yours looked MUCH better😁👊🏻👍🏻 Can’t wait to get back when I’m healed!
Yep, we rode through there. Those jumps were insane...to look at. Check out Mt Kessler on the SW side of Fayetteville the next time you’re there. The black trail up the backside “Spellbound” and “Going Down on Crazy Mary” are Worth the trip.
This looks like a great place to get better at tabletops! About six months ago, I set a goal to actually start clearing them properly but stepped back after I scared myself in the attempt. I recently got a "body armor" set, complete with chest and spine protector, and really look forward to getting down to these offerings to see if I can "man up". I just started a conversation at work and we're mulling around the idea of a group ride during the Christmas/New Years holiday. This group is mostly MSU (Missouri State in Springfield, MO) employees and we'll have a two week window to work with. Please reply if anyone would like to "tow us in" and I'll let you know if anyone bites on the trip! Thanks for sharing your footage! ;)
That's awesome John! I'm still trying to clear them myself. I can clear the smaller ones, but the key for me is that I need to be able to get more height on my jumps. All comes down to technique!
Hell yea man. Nice video. I'm headed back down at the end of October. Last time I was down there I was newer to mountain biking and riding my hardtail. I chickened out and would'nt hit that drop. Definitely going for it this time.
Yes, go for it! It really felt like nothing! Kinda wish I would've tried the bigger one. Drops just scare me for some reason. Are you going for Outerbike?
@@huntstyle no just headed down with three buddies to camp and ride for two days. Drops scare me too and then I do them and they aren't so bad. When is Outerbike?
Thanks! And yes, that WILL happen once I'm done with all this traveling! I'll be in Crested Butte next week, then may make one more trip up to Bentonville before winter. But winter riding around here is pretty good. Look for a group ride sometime in October or November!
Hey Matt! Thinking about planning a trip to Bentonville area at the end of March. I know you have ridden a lot up in the area. If you had two days to ride what trails would you do that are your favorite? Thanks!!
@@GabeSchultz1 If you want flow/jump trails, Coler is a must! I think one of the trails there is pretty techy, but I didn't ride it. Slaughter Pen has a little of everything. Apple Turnover is the tech trail, but it's short. There is a little bit of tech on some other trails. Schroen Train is probably my favorite on SP. Ozone was good, too, and I've seen videos of Tristan's that look good, but I haven't ridden it. Blowing Springs gives you some flow & some tech. The Back 40 is more natural singletrack, but parts are groomed, and I think they've done more work on it. LOL, man just pick a trail and ride, it's all really good up there! In 2 days I'd probably hit Coler & Slaughter Pen.
6:43 I always hit the jump like that and almost eat it haha. The thumbnail is magic hahah! I knew the crash was coming but I still cringed when you crashed. The GoPro doesnt really show how nasty that hole was. I'm also pretty sure I burped in your video at 7:19 haha
Haha yeah I was a little off to the left there. Of course the GoPro effect makes it look like nothing. I actually hucked off the lip, cuz otherwise I surely would've went OTB. Definitely kept that crash from being much worse!
Man, i wish I knew you were coming up. I would of loved to meett up with you guys. I live about an hour south of Bentonville and would of brought some of the guys I ride with up from the River Valley (Ft Smith) area. Oh well, maybe next time! You coming back this direction for Outerbike Oct 26th-28th?
Follow my Facebook page (link in description). That's where I'll post about traveling. I can never remember who said to hit them up when I go where and on what video it was on, lol!
I did! Rode it on Labor Day. Didn't film it since I already did that video. They now have the other 3 miles open, and within that area they are building enormous dirt jumps!
These are the Fox Ranger Gel's, but in all honesty I kinda like the cheap gloves I got from Amazon better! They're called "Zookki" and they're only $12! These: amzn.to/2Iboxgb
Sweet! You can't go wrong with just about anything! But I'd say Ozone, Schroen Train & all-American at Slaughter Pen, and Fireline at Coler was sweet. If you have time hit Fitzgerald Mountain in Springdale as well!
Yes! You used that thumbnail. Glad you survived that crash. Think I'm retiring from racing haha
That was hands down the best still in the whole video, lol! Yeah, no more racing!

Yeah, injuries are a part of the sport, unfortunately! Luckily I was fine after this crash!

Yep, Andrew just told me there's some new stuff he wants to show me. There's always something new up there, I love it!!!

Ah man that sucks! Heal up fast! Yeah, I got lucky on this one... basically just slid through the weeds. Barely had scratches!
Huntstyle 👍
I love those trails! Can’t wait to get back down there.
Some of the best around! And still more being built all the time!
Yea... I was just watching your Bentonville video a few days ago! You guys were really "sending it" and Ben, apparently, has No Fear!!! ;)
John Davis That kid is a great rider. Always fun to watch him.
Yep, we rode through there. Those jumps were insane...to look at. Check out Mt Kessler on the SW side of Fayetteville the next time you’re there. The black trail up the backside “Spellbound” and “Going Down on Crazy Mary” are Worth the trip.
Mike was saying he puts Mt. Kessler right up there with Fitzgerald! I'll definitely have to check it out!
great progress 👍👍
more progression=more fun! 📈=🤸♂️
Sure does! Thanks Yaron!
Really enjoyed the video man! Keep up the good work !
Thanks Mark!
no need to trim the bushes....looks like you cleared them out nicely on your crash! glad your ok:)
Hahaha, I flattened them out at least!
I concur...great thumbnail!
Once I saw that, I had no choice but to use it!

Outerbike is Oct 26-28. So if you want to avoid the crowds, go the week before!
@@huntstyle I just looked and we are going the weekend before. Keep the videos comin!
Perfect! Will do... riding in Crested Butte next week!!!

Did you get a chance to ride “Best Trail Ever” again? I went and rode that trail after watching your video. That trail was legit.
I did! Rode it on Labor Day. Didn't film it since I already did that video. They now have the other 3 miles open, and within that area they are building enormous dirt jumps!
Did you get sand in your chain on that trail, or what type of terrain is that?
Nope, it's good dirt!
Camo Dude MTB&H mostly rocky
That thumbnail!!!! LOL
What? That's how I look.
that wreck was spectacular!
hey, what gloves are you wearing looking for a better pear myself?
also nice crash! it's the best part XD

thanks will do I have massives hands so makes looking for gloves in stores hard cause XXL isn't always carried in store
Dang! Yeah I'm sure those are tough to find!
Oh, I like how the back of the thumb has some terry cloth... good for "clean up" after making "snot rockets"! ;)
Dude! I'm gonna be in Bentonville June 9th and 23rd and really want to check our Coler. Let me know if you're interested in a collab. Thanks!
yooo im going to bentonville for the first time at the end of the month. what is your favorite trail?

Back 40, blowing springs
What is the name of the song that begins at 1:51?
I'm not sure off the top of my head. I get my music from Epidemic Sound. I usually just browse through songs until I find something that I feel fits!
