- So we finally made it out to the Coler Mountain Bike Preserve in Bentonville, Arkansas. Join us as we explore some of the awesome trails here and hit the famous Drop the Hammer drop line. This is the kind of drop line that gives you the confidence to hit almost any other drop that you might come across. We fell in love with it right away. Maybe even got a little obsessed with it. 😅

You said you can't jump well, but dude you totally can. You preload the lip and know how to pop and handle the bike in the air. Give yourself more credit haha!
Thanks, Evan. It's a work in progress. I still case more jumps than I clear. You know how it is, we all get a little self critical sometimes. 😅
yeaaaa boiiiii!! awesome riding. Wife and I are hitting Bentonville for the first time this week. So stoked!
Enjoy it, broski! 😉👍
This is a great video, from sound design to audio quality (transitions too). Really evokes emotion.
Thanks, man! That's a relief. I'm always worried the video is gonna be poop during editing. I almost scraped it a few times. There was so much footage to sift through. It was a struggle to turn it into a cohesive video. Glad you enjoyed it. 😊
Y'all make those drops look easy!
Thanks! 😊
I especially love this one! Great editing.
Thanks!
Yea boi !
What an awesome video, i love seeing couples ride together, so awesome!
Went to Bentonville twice this year! Love that place! Not enough balls to ride drop the hammer!! Well done both of you!!
I'm sure you can do it. You just need a tow. 😉👍
Sending the "Hammer" way too deep will definitely wake you up. My first pass on the Hammer was on a Ragley hardtail and sent it halfway down the transition. Absolutely bone-jarring, at age 52, effectively making it an 18-20ft drop. We also sessioned it for a bit. Needless to say, a trip to the chiropractor the next day was required...lol.
Rock Soft is a killer enduro trail. It'll tell you right away if one needs more conditioning. 🤙
Lol, yup. Definitely don't want to go too far. Glad you rode it out and only needed a chiropractor.
Yes Mtb isn’t dead! You are good and nice video!
I subscribed to you and I do ride as well.😃
Sweet! Thanks! You should give it a go sometimes. Some of the best mountain bikers we meet come from BMX. You guys are so skilled on bikes. 😁
Both of your energy is so fun. I always grin when I watch you guys. I am missing the bike park before the season even ended. You guys are basically fearless with drops . You guys are still easily clearing the jumps and Cory got so much better in the berms too.
Thanks, broski! 😊 Hopefully you'll get some park riding in next season.
Thank youu🥰 I'm still scared of berms😬😆
Cory sent the hammer further than I’ve ever seen!
Coler is one of my favorite riding spots! I'm honestly glad to know that I'm not the only one struggling in specific spots on the trails. Tim, my riding buddy, always makes the trails look so easy. Frankly, so do you two too. Still have yet to drop the hammer, but I've been ready to for like 6 months... lol.👍
Best of luck, man. Hitting that drop is pretty fun. You won't regret it. 👍
Badass couple! Conquered Drop the Hammer like it’s nothing 😊😎 Awesomeness
Thank youu🥰 I miss you guys.
Thanks, you guys! 😊
@@mtbgirlcory miss you guys!
I'm really enjoying following your trip through NW Arkansas! I'm heading down there tomorrow (April 28) through the weekend. We're hitting Cooler, Slaughter Pen and Railyard. It's great to see some quality videos of what to expect! 🤘
Glad you're enjoying the vids. Have fun out there. 👍
The drop the hammer drop, looks like the size of bertha. How would you compare it? Definitely have to check this place out soon!
They're visually similar but I think the Drop the Hammer drop is twice as big. The platform is 10 feet from the ground below it. Add in a few more feet to actually reach the landing, plus a gap big enough to drive a car under, and it's quite the drop. But it's all built in such a way that the whole experience feels smooth. The first wooden Bertha drop has an awkward short landing that shifts your weight back a little upon impact. So even though Drop the Hammer is bigger, it's actually smoother. You're gonna love it. It's tons of fun. Can't wait to go back one day and clear the step ups better next time though. 😅
Such a blast! Love these trails!
Yeah, they're pretty sweet! Drop the Hammer especially.
Rock solid contracting leaves Michigan and goes out south to build in the winter, I wonder if that trail "rock solid" was made by them! They were in Bentonville last year
Pretty sure all of Coler was built by “Progressive Trail Design” I could be wrong though…
A great way to start the new year: a new Duke of MTB video!👍👍👍
Happy new year😊
Thanks! Happy New Year! 🎉 Looks like we're not gonna be bumping into each other at Ray's this year though. Cory's shoulder is still healing. 😅
@@dukeofmtb I was hoping I would see you there sometime this off season. We have been to Ray's twice already and plan to go a few more times if possible. Heal up soon Cory!
@@mtbgirlcory Happy New Year🎉😊
@@rollwithmemtb Who knows, we might make a trip out at least once before spring. We'll see. 😊
Yeah boi
Yeah boi! 🤘
The Duuuuuuke
Yeeaahhhhhhh Boooooooy LMAO. Great upload brother.
Thanks, broski! 😁
Oh, I forgot to tell you, my Meta SX frame shows up on Tuesday. Can't wait to try the mullet setup.
I'm jelly. If it was an option around the time I got the TR, I would have definitely gotten the SX instead.
@@dukeofmtb If you ever make it out to San Diego you can give it a ride.
@@mtbohana Thanks! That'd be awesome. 😁
ive never seen a clip of that drop with actual greenary
Huh🤔, now that you pointed it out, it _does_ seem like all the other videos I've seen of Drop the Hammer were recorded in late fall or early spring.
So awesome.! You guys are awesome. I'm loving ur videos. May I ask what video editor do you use? I've been thinking about switching to final cut pro or adobe premiere. Currently using davinci resolve.
Thanks! Glad you're enjoying the vids. I use Premiere.
@@dukeofmtb thank you! Keep up the great work!
What beautiful trails. Awesome , to see you guys sending it in January, looks like a lot of fun. It was nice meeting you in October at the Pines tabletops @ Stony Creek.
Nice meeting you too. Although, this video was recorded in June. It just takes me forever sometimes to get around to editing a video. Busy busy. 😅 I had a little date pop up during the intro, but I guess most folks missed it. 😊
Hey I live in bentonville and you should go to Coler peek
Is this the same place? 👉 ua-cam.com/video/RCW2zmiMh2M/v-deo.html
Wish i can do it also🥺
One day soon. Just keep progressing. Start small and gradually work your way up. You can do it!
