You learn different things as the years go by and also as you have another child. I have two amazing beautiful boys and they are so opposite of each other and im always learning something new.

I’m a mommy of two. My son is 3 & he has long hair he lets me braid it, do buns, ponytails. Now my 1 year old daughter, nope she hates me doing her hair. If she even sees a bow on her hair she rips it off lol. Once in a blue moon she cooperates but no accessories like bows or headbands

In my early teen years I always always said I’d do my kids hair in and outside the house but gurrrrllll let me tell you one thing, it’s freaking hard. As a Mom of three girls it is rough! Styling three different hair types (thick curly, thick straight & thin wavy hair) seems harder then said! I taught my daughter as soon as she started talking whether she understood or not I spoke about it all the time and just like your mom I didn’t sugar coat it either. I think she was 3. I know my family thinks I’m “over protective” but I would rather be safe than sorry! We go to family gatherings or parties I do not take my eyes off my daughter because she’s older now I do give her, her space but I make sure I’m near by where I could hear and see everything.

Girl! I said the same about always having my daughters hair done. Literally, I have two boys as well & when I'm up for it, I cut their hair as well; BUT MY DAUGHTER, 🤦🏻♀️ oh girl my daughter gives me the hardest time with her hair! She doesn't care for it! She won't comb it, she will let it get all tangled up, looking like a straight up nest! Everytime I spend a good 30minutes to an hour fixing her hair, she takes it all off! 😫
