Complete reimagining of the song, very interesting. Made it their version, kind of how The Warning did it with Enter Sandman. I think I like it. Good choice!
Wow... So many reactors struggling to have apocalyptica to aloud their reactions and giving up... And you seemed to have no difficulty at all 😮 Btw, great reaction! ❤
Oh wow really? Well that's surprising but great to hear! 😂 I never know how it's gonna go.. especially being the first time I'm listening to them! And thank you so much for watching! ☺️
Being a fan of 'the original' One since the release of the album "...And Justice for All" in 1988. This tribute being so different, but the same, and with James's haunting vocals, there are tears in my eyes. Somehow, old has been turned into something new. I don't know how the Apocalyptica guys got James and Rob play and record this masterpiece with them, but I'm glad they did. But I know, that there always will be a place for something new.
You will understand much more,to hear original..it is a heavy..musicly and literally..but beautiful done from Metallica..and this one also good job..love Apocalyptica..❤
There are no electric guitars or any guitars or electric bass guitars used in Apocalyptica songs, even when they play live - only Drums are added! They play the electric Cellos or Cellos rigged with microphones through voice distortion and multiple other effects and create sounds like electric guitars (all sounds electric guitars can do). That is the whole essence of the band, originally in 1993 4 classical Music Cello studying Finnish young Metal fan guys in Helsinki wondered, that could you use Cellos to produce Metal songs without other instruments (drums added though). In the beginning they played the most famous Metallica songs with their Cellos and got the attention of Metallica band themselves and have played together with Metallica in their concerts! You can read more of them in Wikipedia etc.
A lot of their songs they will have a lead singer join in with them.I always liked Not strong enough feat. Brent Smith .And also Broken Pieces with Lacey Sturm .
Apocalyptica was 4 cellos and now they are 3 cellos and drums. They have microphones picking up the sound of the cellos and then they run it through some pedals (guitarpedals?).
Love Apocalyptica.Very talented.Oh yeah time for Fresh Friday with Nikki and also time to get cozy!!Im a big Metallica fan and this is really a different take on this song, but I do love it.Did that get intense at the end or what?🤣
apocalyptica are Finnish symphonic metal. other songs that should be checked out are im not jesus ft corey taylor, not strong enough ft brent smith from shinedown, and i don't care ft adam gontier who was in three days grace
I really like this cover, yet I don’t like the original! Apocalyptica are just amazing musicians and never fail to impress, their collaborations are just amazing - to me this isn’t one of their better ones but like I said better than the original. I sort of get similar vibes to Nightwish - Greatest show on earth 🤔
I think the instrumentation is great but the voice over feels a little off. I am not sure if it's the mix, the pitch or if it's mistimed with the rest of the music. *Ok except at the end, the voice sounds REALLY dark and pretty awesome.
Yeah this song is not good imo. I recommend doing an original song of theirs they have guest singers on them. I recommend The Path Vol. 2 feat. Sandra Nasirć (Guano Apes), Broken Pieces feat. Lacy Sturm (Flyleaf), I'm Not Jesus feat. Corey Taylor, I Don't Care feat. Adam Gontier (Three Days Grace)
Yeah.....no. The spoken lyrics just don't have the impact that they should. I like Apocalyptica. The instrument arrangement here is not too bad. But the vocals? Not a fan.
@@JeffTiberend I don't hate it. But, to me, there is not much feeling in the spoken words. Almost seems forced, like an idea that sounded cool, but was rushed in the end. I know it's too easy to compare it to the original, but I at least want it on par, or at least close to par, with it. It would definitely be almost impossible to surpass it.
Apocaliptyca is a great band
Incredibile a cello can play like an electric guitar😊😊
Yeah! That really surprised me! 🎻🎸

They are whispering the lyrics to One

The cellos have mics on them that are run through distortion pedals and into amps. so it's not hard to make them sound way different.

Agree with what you’re saying but that said it is better than the original as far as I’m concerned.

Right? It wasn't at all what I was expecting.
I liked this in spoken word. It was a different take on ONE. I loved this. You have to have an open mind.
