Nice work, Ken. This video came out prettyyyyyyy sick. I've been waking up in cold sweats about misspeaking and having said Kenny Rogers sang Danny's Song, which was actually Kenny Loggins... What I wanted to sing was "Through the Years"! I'm gonna go reflect on it in the mountains for a few years and then we'll do the whole thing over!
Tom and you, should team up permanently. The interactions between you, make it feel more like a real tour. With Tom’s knowledge and presenting skills, alongside your own comments and filming skills, it’s a winning formula for virtual tour guide videos.
I disagree. They’re too different. I prefer to watch them separately. Tom gives a lot of obscure historical facts and details. Ken’s approach is much more earthy. He makes you feel the City like you’re actually there. ❤
Cafe Wha? My go-to hangout in the mid-60's. 14 years old, drinking rum and cokes, and watching fantastic acts who "passed the hat" after the performance. Good times.
Wow, I would not have guessed Washington Square Park was once a potter's field. 😱 Tom is so knowledgeable and humorous, and the dark history was quite fascinating. It was also nice to see the Halloween decorations and where the notable historical figures used to live. Thank you for sharing this fun, intriguing historical walk with Tom, AK! 🤗
Wow! Loved this video with you and Tom. First time I've seen him and he is so knowledgeable about some of NY history. I thoroughly enjoyed the stories on the buildings and the inhabitants. I will definitely check out his site. Looking forward to more. Happy Halloween to you both.
Hey Ken! What's up,guys! Wow!Nice work !!! And great to see your collab with Tom! Tom is the coolest ,intelligent ,and the most hilarious guy as well!!!
TomD is a great guy. I watch a lot of walking tours and he's my favorite by far. He knows his stuff and just seems like a genuinely good guy. Great collab!
TomD and Action Kid together again! Too Cool. Super great walkabout with you two on a somewhat festive afternoon in the West Village. Many of TomD's chilling tales I'd heard before, but still each were all just as enjoyable with the second telling. The Tomster is such an awesome pixilated personality he can charm his whimsical way through anything. A Great Big Happy Halloween THANKS to you both!
Great walk with Tom-have seen some of his videos-history, etc.,-liked it when he sang part of a tune of Kenny Roger's song-Tom must be a singer......also when he pointed out Serpico's residence in the movie, Serpico, made in the early 70's!!! Great movie of the real Serpico!!!! Thanks for taking us along, ActionKid & Tom!!!! Cheers & stay safe!!!!🥰🥰🦅🦅
Thanks for sharing Serpicos apartman. This film was really Enjoyable. Zhanks for the person who explaint the history..all the best from Hungary Budapest.
In 2001, I stayed a few days at the Larchmont Hotel. This was just days after the WTC attack. I think the hotel is just across the street from the bomb house in your video. On Saturday night, I was looking out the window toward the area where the WTC had been, and thinking about all that. Then I looked a little lower, and in an apartment across the street, a woman had a guy tied up in a chair. It was sort of Edward Hopper and the movie After Hours.. I love NYC. Danny's Song is Kenny Loggins. Great video of a great area.
Good Monday Morning My Friend It's Really Good To See You Touring With Johnny D Once Again You Should Do The Roof Top Stream With Tommy DUrbanist Manny Explorers Yo Ang And Tom From Walks And Wall Street As Always Thank You So Much For Inviting All Of Us To Walk Along With You Much Love Always Ms British Gray From Tampa Florida Blessings ;)
You guys actually make NYC look good. Do more of these. Maybe in a different part of town. Or not. You could do a groundhog day thing and do the same walk every day, like a tour guide. Sounds boring! Pro Tip: Hospitals are the most haunted place in town. People go there and die unexpectedly and unwillingly, which is the main cause of ghost formation. You could find a restaurant where hospital employees hang out and ask them to tell you ghost stories. I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that the overnight shift may have a higher percentage of ghost sightings.
@@ActionKid People that are prepared to die don't become ghosts. Ghosts are formed when people die unexpectedly and feel that have unfinished business to attend to. An intervention with the ghost involves telling the ghost that it is time to move on. Not 100 percent effective but usually gets the ghost to relocate somewhere else.
@@ActionKid I'm not in NYC but do u have any discounts or could u get coupons for the Haweker Place in Manhattan. I want to go there it would be probably in late November or if I go back to Brooklyn
Good morning AK, greetings from Guyana.I am now seeing and looking at this stream . Who is your guess? Will like to get your live notifications, thank you
As a Florida native and now New Yorker, I can confirm that NY and FL have a very healthy exchange program which has been the case since Florida’s early days as a resort destination.

We can say we went through a Highway to the Danger Zone with this spooky themed walk!
OMG last night I was watching an old video from over a year ago of AK & Tom D . love the two of you together.

We might break UA-cam if we teamed up permanently

The Walking Gourmet, AKA Action Kid, joins forces with Rebel Without A Cause! Lol This is a fun walk and history lesson! I love you both:-)
Great to see Tom and AK together after a long time.
Tom is hilarious and super knowledgeable

AK and Tom together means a lot of fun, hilarious jokes and a lot of interesting facts about the city. Happy Halloween 🎃

this is the best episode - i'll start watching tom's u-tube channel now !!
Hey Tom.. you are very entertaining. Thanks for all the stories. I enjoyed the "walk"
Two of my favourite folks to watch on UA-cam.
Kenny Rogers was HUGE from the late 70s to mid 80s. I was there. I remember.
Great walk tour around Greenwich Village NYC. Interesting to watch till the end. Tnx 4sharing 😍

@tomdnyc has a *wealth* of knowledge. 🧠 📖 🤔
Perfect pairing between glib-tongued narrator Tom and ActionKid, the taciturn camera man.
This looks sensational. Likely, I will be asleep in San Francisco and look forward to when I can watch it. Happy Halloween you two. 🎃

Miss you guys. You should move back to NYC! The hoodie that girl (that you were walking behind) was wearing in the first ten minutes was fire! 🔥
I ❤when Tom goes with the big 👀 😅
You got a friend.Happy Halloween!
2 of my faves!
Danny's song was sung by Loggins and Messina
I think Tom commented his deep regrets at his mis-knowledge above....
Kenny Rodgers’s Dolly Parton island in the stream and movie the gambler and the song.

the angular architecture instead of the semicircular bay window is an ersatz replacement
I went to a Halloween costume party last week disguised as a drug addict syringe in all. It was at a rehab center. The costume bombed.
Old TomD and AK the dynamic duo .
REALLY ENJOYED YOUR FRIEND. I AM A GUY STUCK IN MASS FROM JERSEY! PAT CARLEO
Thanks!
Welcome! Thank you for the support!
Great time watching you and Tom. Ken, you need to watch Serpico, great NYC movie from the early 1970s.
Serpico is classic, Al Pacino a marvel.
Can imagine his face when the snake story was told lol

Tom there was a Weather Underground web site, I remember using it to monitor hurricanes.
Could you do one of these but in the West Village area? (7th Ave area)? I really loved watching this! Thank you AK and TomD!
"The Woman on the Red Velvet Swing" was on TCM recently, starring a young Joan Collins as Evelyn Nesbitt.

Kenny Rogers, he sang that song in the big Lebowski. Just dropped in to see what condition my condition was in. 🧔🏼

Scary stories Wow , hanging people and dead bodies , who they hanged
Did you move to Miami or just spending time in NYC?
Kenny Loggins sang Danny's song. Not Kenny Roger's lol
Do you live in NY again or just visiting?
NYU is $97,000 a year
I think you have your Kenny's confused.
Right on the nose. NYU is the reason the Village isn't what it used too. It's been torn apart and homogenized by them Rxedpe.
These decorations could never exist here in Chicago for reason that they'd be either stolen or shot.

AK is talking about how scary/dangerous NYC is these days yet the footage going on all around them is so contrary to that statement. SMH.
Poor Tom ran out of money
Cuz he can’t get his hair cut
I don’t like nyc that much cause it’s too congested. I like Miami better.
@for the love of God maybe but I like the condos in Miami better.

This guy has not heard of the "yes, and" technique. A few cringy moments between the two in the first 30 minutes alone.
