There is a different version of this instrument where it attaches on magnetically. This allows for a less hassle readjustment when changing the height of cut. With my version there are more than one moving parts causing an imbalance when changing the HOC. So best way is to remove the gauge and place back to get a good measurement.
There’s currently one out there in the market but mainly for golf courses and sports fields. It be nice to have one for residential. I too was looking into that idea. 👍
