Thanks for your helpful video. My 2016 Prius recently had its rear wiper ripped off in a commercial car wash. Using your video, I was able to make repairs myself, likely saving a lot of money over what the dealer would have charged. [Stockton, CA]
I used the penetrant and tried to use an expensive puller, but the puller just broke the plastic. I finally took a small hacksaw and sliced the plastic away from the bushing, then used the puller to get the arm off. I bought an after market arm and blade. The blade, though an inch shorter, is easily replaceable unlike the OEM. Good video, thanks!
Thanks - my arm was ripped off in the assembly-line car wash but they found the arm and spring. Freezing at 3:50 helped me identify how to reattach the spring to the two other parts of the arm assembly in situ.
Great video! One little step suggested - I would double check that the resting position of the wiper tip does not land on the paint work that eventually would scratch the paint. The masking tape is a great step, but the arm might need to be positioned one spline to the left to safe guard the paint finish. (due to a little slack in the motor drive mechanism) Thanks for taking the time to make this valuable instruction video, very helpful!
Thank you for the thorough and detailed instructional video. Changed out the wiper arm following the exact procedure and it worked like a charm. Much Appreciated.
Thanks man! I didn't think you needed a puller to get it off i was working on wrapping a transit van I used some channel locks and got it but thanks for letting me know I just needed more pressure!
Back of and hammer on one side and pull with your hand on the other. Took me 10 seconds and my was waaaaay more rusty looking. No need for a puller unless you really don't trust yourself. That little motor is strong than you think, it'll be fine.
Yes, I did it. No problem however, had one problem. I put the wiper blade on the left-hand side when I put it back on and now I have to pop it up again. My fault I was in a rush
Thanks for the video, of using a pulley as mine was corroded too, ordered mine from amazon and a new arm / blade all for £20 . it would of cost me 52.00 just for the arm from Halfords.

Make sure you do not get a larger one than this because the jaws won't fit behind the broken windshield wiper mechanism. Good luck. They are only $9.50.

Many thanks. Some some stool my rear wiper only left the nut. Peugeot quoted me £100. Always worth you tube ing before getting work done professionally. Easy when you know how.
Put the nut back on the post get a hammer pull the arm away from the glass and slightly tap the post while turning the arm left and right do not smack the post hard enough to break the glass
@@olivertwist9628 Thank you for responding . I actually bought a better tool that popped it right off . The old are the pieces, the harder it is to get off . Now I have a tool that I can use in another 15 years !! Lol Thanks again
Incredibly helpful. Got my replacement arm on and off in minutes. Thank you.

Huge help thank you!
Super helpful thank you!
I got a puller tool, it doesnt seem to want to budge. Even with the pb blaster. How long did you have to use the puller thing for it to come off?
Obrigada pelo vídeo ❤

Let’s be clear. PB blaster only does its job on UA-cam!
I can’t seem to get mine off, I don’t got a pulley.
The snow broke my whole arm so it's just hanging. Do you know what I need to do to fix this????
A man
The same part he has its 10 dollars on ebay.
What was the clamp thing called??
I will inquire with our staff, and then let you know, please wait again!
Yess I need it too, if you can send an Amazon link I’d appreciate it a lot

I bent the arms on that tool trying to get mine off. It didn't work
same for me
guess after 10s of years the metals become one
This was helpful, thank you. It took some serious effort though because it was corroded on there.
