Tedward + Oldtimer (especially a V12 one and ESPECIALLY A FERRARI) = Absolutely wonderful evening!
I had other things to do but when I saw that this was uploaded I just turned off from work and came straight to this video.
@@sidekick258 me every time Tedward uploads!
“Please stay between the mustard and the mayonnaise” 😂😂. Love this line and I’m so stealing it.
Otherwise you will turn into ketchup
What's mayonnaise here ?
@ the white line at the side of the road.
I've got a better one: "stay between the piss and the cum".
@ my ranked teammates:
Love the additional camera angles, makes it feel so much more immersive. What an awesome machine :)
On the first day of Christmas, my Tedward gave to me
A 250 in a pear tree
My new favorite tradition
My Dad bought one from Virginia originally delivered to Switzerland in 61. My fathers love and history of Ferraris cant be explained in a single UA-cam comment. Suffice to say his library of Ferrari books was always fascinating to me he started taking me to Ferrari Victoria Australia meetings from 5 years of age I loved the Boxers, 246 Dinos and 308s the 250s didnt appeal to me until i was about 10 he showed me a picture of a 250 GTE and told me if "we" ever get one this is it. I remember feeling slightly deflated it didnt look anything like a 250swb or GTO. 15 years later after mum and dad divorced sold the house he got his 250 GTE. Spent 5 years restoring body and interior almost got burned out in a factory fire then sold it to a "mate" who went on to re sell it at a profit. I think Dad drove it a couple of times on purchase but never truly got to own and drive it like he deserved. Dad died 2 years ago and its only recently im able to enjoy watching videos of GTEs and Ferraris in general without incredible sadness. He did have a 308 GT4 after the sale of the GTE which i got to enjoy with him but I know how special the GTE is and was to him. Thank you for driving this beauty same colour (ish) as Dads. Forza Ferrari
For me the Ferrari 250 GTE is one of the most elegant and impressive GT cars ever made. An absolute masterpiece. Thank you for this video, it is a pleasure to watch this.
Ferrari 250 Series, so iconic ❤
What a car 🥰 Also, there were so many nice cars in that workshop that I hope you’re going to review in your next videos
Really needed that Ferrari V12 soundtrack today. Such a lovely car
I rarely comment on YT, but this is something special. I visited a classic car dealership over here in the Netherlands over the weekend and amongst other classics, I admired one these too. Next to the drop dead gorgeous looks, the Colombo V12 is a piece of art too: hearing that humm between 4-5k rpm on acceleration sends shivers down my spine. And there I was only a few days ago going "I'd love to hear one of these run..." 😉
Massive props to you Tedward for your skillful handling of classics like these and showing them for us to see and enjoy too! ❤
It’s very refreshing to actually see a car reviewer that can drive stick without burning up the clutch! You nail it every time.
That intake note is just to die for omg. ❤
This is a beautiful craft. I’d love to see Ferrari do a modern interpretation of their classic GT cars kind of like what RML group did the the SWB.
Front engined V12 Ferrari is the way to go!
Solid video and audio production. These Ferrari Colombo V12 engines have such a beautiful humming sound when they accelerate. Truly iconic.
You think “nice sedan with nice interior” until you hear the engine. What a gorgeous car - really is a contemporary of a DB5.
Huge thanks for a beautiful 250 fall day blast through Lincoln.
Oh the exterior exhaust shot is class...
wow, that is a VERY special car Ted!
The understated ‘60s GT. Still absolutely gorgeous.
love the Ferraris from the 60s. Steering wheels back in the day were so beautiful.
Thats a proper sounding machine,,,
Nice review Tom! That's a nice classic 😊
When I was younger, I never understood the appeal of 60s and 70s cars. Now I lust after them and understand why they are so revered. Nothing like this will ever be made again.
my god. what a symphony. i am liking old classic ferrari engines than the modern one. it more enjoyable and have a nice and Beautiful rumble you enjoy hearing it.
THANK YOU TED.
Awesome sauce. Thanks for the experience brotherman.
Ugh, it just sounds lovely! Especially the intake sound 😍
I love the new camera angles! Keep up the good work!
No time to text and drive with this vehicle! What a beautiful car!
Dream machine!!
What a gorgeous car. THE classic Ferrari design.
Damn Tedward!! 🔥🔥👌
Love these new camera angles
Absolutely stunning car.
Wonderful video. The reason the steering feels the way it does in terms of responsiveness is that its a worm and roller system. So, reaction to steering wheel input is somewhat delayed.
A gentleman's Grand Tourer. Fantastic.
Great to see one of these!! Gearbox needs a look.
What a gem
You have the best job in the world.
Sono italiano.
“MAMMA MIA”. ❤ 🏎️ 🇮🇹
What an elegant, handsome car. Yowza!
My Vermont/Berkshires dream car.
It was nice to see a new Tedward video had dropped And with a vintage Ferrari. It makes for a calm and pleasant end to an otherwise long and chaotic day. Btw: Is the clutch heavy on this one? I just got that feeling that it is kind of rough although you did a great job.❤
Thank you! I can't remember the clutch weight which likely means it wasn't particularly heavy. I usually remember the brutal ones
Love it ❤
if you have the means, i definitely recommend you pick one of these up.
01:08 Driver's door doesn't fit and there is an issue with the color (lighter color than the front wing). But I like this silver. 02:01 Is there no reception for the hood-prop? (maybe forgotten at the restauration) My - also Pininfarina-styled - 124 Fiat spider had that, back in the days. To place the prop where you do, might end in a bend prop and damage to the hood/wing. 02:51 No, that really can't be mistaken with an Aston. Looks totally different (rear lights, c-pillar, rear window). 03:32 Right exhaust - oil? 09:34 "...really race one of these..."?? It is a 4-seater-GT, not a race car! BTW the speedo doesn't work - restauration?
Very nice video, thanks for that! The GTE is one of my favorites.
If 007 was Italian this is what he would have driven.
Oh good lord that is achingly beautiful
9:17 I'm glad you said it. It looks like a truck to drive, albeit one with a very nice-sounding engine!
It’s wild how much more advanced the 330 and 365 feel within the same decade. It’s not completely fair since the 250 came out in the 50s. But still!
God please give me the chance to drive any Colombo v12 ferrari once in my lifetime
I love the orchestra of the 250 Colombo engine. No sound like it!
Hey Tedward, when will you do a POV on a 1970 Dodge Charger? It'd be really sick, love your videos.
British Design like Aston Martin
These cars always remind me of Porfirio Rubirosa, who died driving one into a chestnut tree in Paris France in 1965, after an all-night party celebrating his victory in a polo match...
Delicious interior😂❤
Bro in Civic was about to cut across, and was like 'fk no, not crashing into something my insurance will not cover'.
This is the best proportioned 250 model
Such an icon! Can you believe people think that the white goods nowdays are going to age just like this piece of art...... btw I'm digging the new angles!
The sound of Colombos 😩
Mgmmm. What a treat that would be to drive.
Classy-Sporty, V12 heaven, very nice, spending my imaginary money on it :)
I loved taking the drive with you. Great viewpoints and sound, but what happened to the speedometer at 9:00 minutes? It appears to have stopped working.
Love watching these Videos. Not in a class where I am shopping for one. I will just take out my low mileage for its age 99 Miata.
Miata's rule!
2:13 often times these FRAM filters are orange painted Baldwins or UFIs so the reproduction vintage FRAM decals can be used for shows. No Ferrari shop, I know actually uses FRAMs!
Now that you’ve driven a GTE you should come and drive my 330 America!
I'd love to! It's gorgeous
@ unfortunately we may have to wait until Spring! The salt has been laid down in my area!
what an orgy of mechanical sounds.... Jeeeez
That is designed for all-day, long-distance driving! It is not a sports car; it is a grand touring car.
I’d be terrified of some soccer mom in a big SUV yelling at little Madison in the back seat… crunch!
Love the Ferrari but I'd also love to see a late 90s BWM 750il
Italian car in these times is a very probably faillure but is beatiful
03:25 The panel gaps on the boot need to be corrected.
What more does a gentleman need?
La gte non è mai stata la più bella tra le 250 ma oggi dal punto di vista dell'importanza storica per le casse della Ferrari e per il perfetto esempio di granturismo, non è seconda a nessuna 😘
OOOOOF 🤤
Ugh, I'm not sold on the rear view cam, I felt dizzy.🥴
Btw. I noticed you often refer to such wheels as 'wire knockoffs'. Why is that? Were these wheels patented by some company back in the days?
Love the restoration on this one, paintjob looks gorgeous in the sun with the red leather interior, but what truly caught my eye was the quilted leather underneath the bonnet.
Because they are wire wheels with a knock off center hub. That’s just what they are. Today they’d be called center locks instead of knock offs
@@TedwardDrives I see, now it all makes sense. 😄I thought you're saying they're replicas/fakes.
Anyone else see the speedo go on vacation a few times? Properly Italian there!
Good Eye! We actually fixed the broken speedo gear after the first drive when it was dead...so the times its working is the second drive
@@TedwardDrives that's the thing with older cars - stuff just breaks randomly!
Probably the only interior that is better then the deluxe 67 mustang
That's an intro!
Go tell the guy who is furious in the comments that I used other camera angles for a total of 12 seconds 😆
Day 63 of asking Tedward to drive the S60R
How this engine sound good!!!
my god!
All you need is around 500K, insurance from Lloyds of London for another 10k a year and then be like most Ferrari owners with these cars. Take them to shows close by or have them trailered. Never take them out for the day and drive them.....Fact
Babe Tedward posted a vid, it’s a stick shift, just how you like em
Very Aston db5 Ferrari ❤
what is the modern equivalent of this?
Ferrari 550 is on your test drive list?
Already uploaded! Hit that bell haha
1999 Ferrari 550 Maranello Fiorano Handling Package - Driving The Gated Manual V12 (POV Review)
ua-cam.com/video/rn4Hdeo3ecU/v-deo.html
There were so many beautiful cars a few decades ago. Why are the most of the modern cars so ugly and bad sounding?
government regulations and corporate profiteering. i.e., capitalism
Everything about modern design is supposed to be soul crushing and ugly. Not to mention that the quest for ever growing profits means everything must appeal to everyone. That's how we end up in a sea of boring crossovers. Sad.
Looks like the speedometer quit on you ;-)
Great eye! So this video was two separate days. Day 1 I noticed the speedo was nonfunctional. Bond group repaired a tiny broken gear ⚙️ and I went back for it :)
I doubt anyone is parallel parking their 1961 Ferrari 250 GTE Series 1 😂
Beautiful Ferrari 250 Monaco Pussyclaimer
haha omg.
How much this ?
Are you being followed by a mobility scooter?
Wheel play - much??
(Edit #2: I was wrong. He started it up inside at 3:37.)
I really dislike the new editing format. I especially dislike the new start-up sequence, without having the start-up inside the car.
Edit: Not hating on Tedward. I'm all for people being creative and trying new things, but it just feels like a massive downgrade.
I showed you the start up in the car at 3:37
@@TedwardDrives You're right, I stand corrected. I immediately skipped as soon as I saw the outside of the car. It was an odd way to sequence those events, in my opinion.
Speedo wasn’t working
The video was shot in 2 separate days. it wasnt working on day 1 so it was fixed. a little gear had broken. all of the shots when its working were shot on the second day
Find a 250 GTO
Oh ok. Sure thing right away.
