Yes this class (WP) was once imported to India from Baldwin Loco Works. Later 235 such locos were made at CLW (Bardhaman factory) and only 9 units are preserved. This class has 2680 HP power at 119 kmph and the smoke box door is designed to look like a 'bullet nose'. The top speed of this class is actually capped to 110 kmph, that was the speed most ICF Blue coaches that used the Swiss design are designed to handle. If any British loco class has a similar design (but only runs on 1435 mm gauge) you can mention it here.
Speed is likely to be limited upto 45kmph.In old days when traffic density was much lesser with compaired today maximum boggies were twelve. Most steam engine express were hauling boggies upto nine. But today numbers of boggies are increaed upto 22.Hence Rly department is not in position to use steam engines like Western countries like UK.But for limited tourist trains Rly department may think again to use steam engines again. It is between Mavli (MVJ) and Marwar Junction (MJ). Currently there are 2 trains a day running on this route in both directions. The Morning one leaves Mavli at 7:00 AM. You can reach Mavli by catching any Udaipur bound Train. Mewar Express (12963) from Chittaurgarh should be a good option as the BDTS - UDZ will reach MAVLI at 7:50. No. Its because quite a few passengers used to get hurt because most non AC class carriages had people peeping out of windows and they couldn't judge soon enough of the trains on the parallel tracks or the Over head catenary poles or signal poles and some would even end up losing their lives. So precautionarily all trains started having bars on windows for non ac class coaches.
Its there to prevent window theft or entry of passengers into an over crowded train. Many of us Indians who come from lower middle class background cannot afford AC travel. And many still love the non AC coaches.
A fond memories of my younger days when these great steam beasts used to rule our great railways.. Jai Hind 💪 🇮🇳

It's so good to see, a diesel EOG pulled by a Steam Giant under Electric traction. My heart melts to see the 3 milestones of railway fuels (sort of)
