this kind of presentation does make me wonder how many of the bad ones are actually artificially invented just to inject some drama and tension in the show and are not actually real pitches.

They nailed it when they say the developer will pass the 15% price increase to the customer. That being said, no respective developer would sign an exclusivity contract with a "matchmaker." Such naivete.
No freelance developer will ever. They don't need it. On this pitch, they failed to point out why contracting with their company would be more advantageous over being employed by an agency. Pretty much sure they can't keep you busy enough. The worst of both worlds really.
I've watched Dragon's Den and Shark Tank shows for years and this is by far the worst pitch I've seen. Their powerpoint slideshow was like something we created in school when we first started using pc's in schools in the UK (mid 90's) and definitely not a good example of a company who are trying to sell IT services. They were so under-prepared and then tried to throw each other under the bus as to why their pitch was so rubbish, and they weren't prepared to listen to what was being said to them. And worst of all, they were unable to adequately explain their own business model "I don't know if I can cover this correctly" so Andrew had to explain their own business to them. Then he stating his first four businesses were a failure and refusing to explain his "Linkfluencer" business did him absolutely no favours. An absolute car crash of a pitch which wasted the Sharks and production teams time, which could have been used to help businesses who truly deserve it and are committed to success rather than these two pathetic chancers :(

after understanding their business model, they are an IT consultation company, it's not a new business, but they add the idea of validated agencies (Kind of Freelancer portal) ... While I'm working in this field, I can say that the idea it's not bad at all and there is a big need for this, but they need to re-study the numbers, the cost of the document and the 15 percentage are very high ... and they need to think for another revenue streams related to their promoted services. Maybe they can't explain the idea will and they are too early for looking for investment in this stage

New Business Idea... I'm introducing a new concept called a middleman! All software companies have a person who bridges the gap between the business requirements and the developers. Individual developers take the risk of playing the role themselves when they are new in the field.
This is gold because it's like they know the gig economy is highly exploitative. So they want a piece of that exploitation without actually understanding why the gig economy works and why people participate. Basically, "we just want 20% of all of the business between a developer and their client for doing nothing. All PROFIT. Invest now."
