Thank you very much for the video. I'm a bit confused, I have this bms and I want to make an 8 cell battery, but I can't find a clear schematic where to connect the last two wires.
Iam confused using this bms for an 8s pack. Wiring instruction told that wires 7-20 are put together, then 21 is cell 7 and 22 is cell 8. I only connected wires 1 to 7, left unused till 20, then connected 21 and 22. Bms starts, but shows 22 cells anf 7 to 20 with nearly voltaga zero. Manuel change in settings to 8s wont help. You conected 18,19 and 20 all to the same cell? Maybe i have to do the same with wires 8-20 (all to cell 6). Totally confusing this bms...
So this is wired only for automatic detection? I have a 21S BMS but only an 18S battery pack, if I leave 19,20 and 21 open I can configure it manually?

What is the uart for?

Configuration depends on manufacturer and number of strings. I recommend contacting the manufacturer for wiring diagram/manual.
