    A Hell Yeah!!! for dual disc brakes! Anyone who rides a heave performance bike knows that stopping becomes very important with those bikes. I’ve boiled the brake fluid on an 02 Vulcan 1500 Classic because of the single disc brake and inadequate engine braking. It sucks to loose brakes in the mountains.

      FXDLS Brooklyn I learned a few lessons that day. Stainless Steel brake lines going on the lil Iron 883 with new bars and heated grips. Luckily, it has decent engine braking like the larger Harleys. The Ultra Classic might get SS lines but it doesn’t brake that badly for a 900 pound behemoth.

    I'm here because I'm at this choice right now. I'm leaving my 48 that served me to take confidence with bikes and now I'm finally going for a low rider s which was my first target. Here in Italy a Dyna 2016 or a Softail 2021 S in the used market cost the same... so it's not a money choice either. It's a really difficult choice.

      @@MrPedham Hi, I bought the Softail, I had it for one year and I've done 4500km with it. I sold it two days ago though. I sold it because it was too expensive for me and too difficult to manage in the city, very high fuel consuming, very hot, too big to pass through cars. If I could I'd switch back to my 48. BUT that's my experience and for my needs it was too much. I'm going to buy a budget bike, like Yamaha Tracer 7 or 9 or Suzuki V-Strom. I'm still thinking about it. Cheers

  • @road2nowhere471
    @road2nowhere471 4 роки тому +1

    Such a hard decision and one that I just made. I could off had either, I test road the new Softail Low Rider S and it was amazing. My current bike is a 2006 Softail with the 88B engine, it was quite an upgrade. But I found a mint 2016 Dyna LRS in perfect stock condition for a deal I couldn't walk away from. So money was a factor saving at least 7k by buying the Dyna. Dealerships, wouldn't budge off MSRP and with all the dealership fees, and taxes it really pushed me towards the Dyna.
    I haven't put many miles on it yet, but the Dyna has the nostalgic feel with the shake and I am a big fan of the TC engine. I do like the bars on the new Lowrider S and rear fender but I couldn't justify spending thousands more on it. I have a gut feeling that the Dyna LRS will become something of a collector bike for Harley, two year run and last of the Dynas. Harley killed off the Dyna line with a bang by making this bike a real working man's hotrod!!

    FXLDS , we met last year @pops on Kent/Franklin... my buddy had the black and I have the silver 2020s.... I’ve since added a S&S 475 cam... that alone brings back that old school “lope” and puts the bike over 100hp... it gives the M8 a whole different character... come back to the “Burg” and take a listen. Good content in this vid. Both are great bikes...one shows good taste and style since 2016... and one shows good style and taste in 2020 (with about $6K and not having to try and shop around for a used 2016) stay safe out there!

    Best benefit to the 2020 is the non-flexible frame... everything else is meh. The Dyna has more aftermarket options, can be found cheaper, and IMO its more fun to ride. The Softails are fun at first, but that smooth refined electronic M8 feel will eventually leave you yearning for a TC.

      Paul Negrean too bad the company (FAB28) is garbage though. Don’t trust the customer service at FAB28 - Crooks! Specifically - Tyler.
      Took my money for almost 6-months with little to no information regarding build progress/shipment. Had to file a fraudulent charge claim through my credit card company to get my money back. Long process. Stay away from FAB28. 100%.
      Anyone questioning my experience with FAB28, shoot me a private message and I can/will provide detailed information about the scam they put me through. I’ll include screen shoots and emails linked directly to the company as proof.

    Money not being the issue the cruise control is what made me keep my 17 fxdls over trading in for a 2020 low rider s. If you pound miles nothing is better. Inverted forks are nice on the 20, but with a good front setup on the dyna it’s more than enough.

    I own the 2017 Dyna Low Rider (Non-S) and it’s pretty much the same as the S with a slightly smaller engine..and loads of chrome..which can be upgraded to be a 110..and can also be blacked out..but I do like the salt and pepper feel of my bike..it’s different than what everyone has or wants..chrome will come back baby.. you’ll see!! Lol..for me..I’d Keep what I currently have which is different in look with touches or Red and Black than either “S” models. The “S” is hard to not keep it stock because it’s the look of the bike..it’s a special edition..you wouldn’t want to change it too much and can devalue the bike..also my bike has the longer rear fender which is stock on my bike..Because I have something so similar to the original “S” I’d go for the 2020-2021 “S” and keep my Dyna. I tested the New 2020 model “S” as well as the other softtails and really enjoyed the ride..it was smooth, fast and easy to handle however felt it sounded like a Go-cart. I’m sure that’s because it was stock. It was def the best of the soft tail platform for sure. After getting off the softtail S bike from the test ride I came
    to the conclusion that my 2017 Lowrider (non-s) was in my opinion a better feel than the new 2020, I just love that Dyna Rumble..But if money were not an issue..I’d get the M8. It’s just great value..better all around..Great video BKLow..!
